I can’t tell if you’re being sarcastic or if you’re taking jabs at me for no good reason 😅So I’ll assume you’re a nicer person than that. I have looked, but there is also a possibility that I am not looking in the right places. I only got heavily into Asian shows a year ago. Started with Korea on Viki, then fell into historical China on Viki, IQIYI and WeTV. I’ve been interested in stepping into Japanese TV shows, but maybe I am not sure where to find them. I tried googling historical Jdramas and couldn’t find a whole lot. If you have any tips or recommendations of ones to start, I would welcome them 😊

Do you remember if haters tanked the ratings of Glory and TPoB at the time they were airing? I am a recent MDL member and I wasn’t around here when they aired. TPoB is my favorite show.

I am loving how they’ve laid the foundation for the character development! It’s refreshing and new. And DYX is doing a great job and portraying it all.

So a few people have been complaining about the FL stepping up and acting like she’s a leader of the family even though she hasn’t known any of them long. I am assuming that IS her role as she’s technically the widow of the eldest brother and their mother has died?

Is this why there aren’t many translated TV shows depicting historical Japanese culture? My partner and I have been wondering why we can’t seem to find any TV shows about the samurai culture.

It’s a romance over the span of a few lifetimes, so this kinda stuff is normal for the genre. I really love how they handle the amnesia in this one though, but if you’re bored then it’s not for you 😊

There aren’t any quite like this one. You could check out Journey to Love (probably the closest comparison - assassin FL and warrior ML), The Prisoner of Beauty (Military ML and smart and intelligent FL - my favorite Asian show), Legend of the Female General (General ML and FL), or Legend of Shen Li (fantasy genre with a warrior FL and a lonely god who just wants to cook and be a house husband lol). Moonlight Mystique (also fantasy genre, badass demon ML and an independent FL who grows into her powers) 😊I also just started watching a new show that is currently airing - Fight for Love (Military ML and fighter FL, lots of tragedy in the beginning). It’s pretty good so far.
