What were they smoking? That's the better way of putting it I think. I feel bad for the actors because they really…
I like your phrasing, hahaha. I hope the actors at least got paid properly. Yes, it's money-driven statement, but I don't care. All the work and efforts have to be paid.
OMG, what is happening?! The ending is... the story... I have some questions for the staff of this drama, excluding the actors. They're gorgeous, I love them. The other staff members, where were they looking while producing this drama?
No words, just pure respect for this drama. Everything is perfect for me - characters, costumes, music, setting, and plotline. I absolutely love the FL. The strong woman doesn't have to be a general or goddess. She has to have an unbreakable iron will, wisdom, and the biggest heart. The water doesn't have shape, but it still breaks even the sturdiest of stones. It's definitely about Qiao Man. 10/10
A worth-your-time drama, I'd say. You rarely find modern dramas that aren't overwhelmed by comedy and romance. In my opinion, it's more of a psychological genre. Yes, our couple is already childhood sweethearts, loving each other for a long time. Yes, they broke up due to miscommunication. Yes, they restart their romance from co-living in the same apartment. I agree that there are some cliches present.
But, the FL... I have no words to describe how I admire her internal strength and what she managed to come through. I know that she isn't portrayed perfectly in some opinions, as she seems a bit cowardly at times. Well, I'd say nobody is perfect. People fight their internal demons however they can.
I also admire the ML for his supportive character. He gives her some space and allows her to gather her courage, even keeping a distance at times. I like it even more when he didn't become overly clingy and protective after knowing the truth.
10/10 drama, which gives some thoughts for consideration.
Yeah, I so love this drama! I absolutely love revenge plots and ruthless (in a good way) women. She's gorgeous, cunning, and intelligently badass! She and the male lead are a perfect match. The politics and revenge are super.
I 1000% respect that the authors didn't refocus the storyline on their romance or the male lead. I still feel that FL is the MAIN CHARACTER throughout the story! Finally! At the same time, its well-balanced storyline keeps the male lead on par with the FL. 9/10 even with some weird plot twists. 10/10 for rewatch.
It was pretty new for me to find a sport-related drama. I liked the stunts, and the snowboarders did them well. Apart from the snowboarding theme, the storyline is predictable, like many other modern romance dramas. It shows a mix of comic situations when two young fellows get to know each other and fall in love. The female lead is overly sweet to my tastes and often behaves like a child. Like a real child wrapped in sugar candies, and sometimes dressed alike. Maybe it should be like this, based on the web novel. However, I like that she's a proactive female lead, not too shy to express her admiration. The male lead is vapid for me, but Lin Yi plays him well. His sister is great, a funny and cheerful girl.
7.5/10 for rewatching just to kill time in the future.
Wah, that was definitely a fresh air drama for me! I've never watched a drama that feels more like an anthology of stories, with each family member having their own story. All the Li sisters are so gorgeous! All sisters have quite interesting love stories. I liked that they're all different; it's easy to distinguish their storylines. They don't mix in my memory, at least. Not without some loopholes, but I didn't mind them since they don't worsen the plot.
I so love Li matriarch, their mother. I will always respect strong women who never give up, no matter the circumstances and people. The flame of life and iron will are palpable when you see her on the screen. 10/10 as an excellent drama that brings novelty to my C-drama watchlist.
I give tremendous respect for focusing this drama on Chinese rural culture! It was so interesting to watch. I even forgot about the romance tag here. I don't mind it:) Crystal Liu is queen. 10/10
It's pretty good political drama. I really liked that the authors didn't focus the screen on the romance but instead on introducing the characters and their later development with romance as addition to it. Ren Jia Lun is as good as ever. Landy Li is an excellent actress as well, playing her character well. Xu Zheng Xi played extensively too (even though I hate his character - character, not Xu Zheng Xi himself).
This drama doesn't have many disadvantages, but one significant one - the obsessive male lead. I so hate his behavior for the whole drama. You don't expect a person to love you just because you think you're so good for her! ''I will make you happy'' - did anybody ask you to?! Everything about him irritated and disgusted me to guts! His final regrets and help don't excuse him at all. Even his smart political moves from the beginning of the drama disappeared for me after all the **** he later made. What I found equally obnoxious is that his aides are like ''Well, it's not your fault, you're just in love. WTF?!
Fooh, ok. Let me get back my calm:) This drama is definitely worth watching and rewatching! 9/10.
The action in this drama is so good; I really enjoyed all the fighting scenes. The authors gave Zhou Ye enough screen time to properly portray the female general. Her individual action scenes are superb, very well-directed. Shadow Love's fl lacks this part a bit (her authors' fault).
Zhou Ye is an excellent actress. Ah, but I think she looks too young for the character, hahaha. Well, it's up to your tastes. I think many might disagree with me, and it's your right, I respect it. The male lead is also good, not overly sweet, yet caring. Chen Lei is as handsome as usual.
On the other hand, I so dislike obsessive-second-male-lead cliche... Ha, do screenwriters know some other plot twists? Well, okay. Maybe the authors included it to spice up the romance here. Our couple doesn't need it, though:) Their relationship is definitely fine as it is.
I definitely support rewatching this drama in the future.
There have been many dramas about female generals recently, or it's just my imagination:).
Well, here we have another general lady. Yes, again she's capable, intelligent, righteous, and so on. We have a supporting male lead (from the episodes where he has no memories of his past, at least). He's caring, always ready to protect his love when enemies overpower her, which happened too often for a female general, in my opinion. Cheng Lei is good at action, actually. I liked all his fighting scenes. We also see some politics, with a weird mix of magic (it actually looks more like alchemy to me...what do you think?). They negotiated peace between the two countries too easily, like ''let's stop fighting'', and that's all?... And here we also have an evil prince who kills and sacrifices anyone who stands in his way to the throne. And we have an obsessive second male lead... And several more cliches.
On the other hand, another good thing is that Song Yi looks more mature, portraying a badass, victorious female general rather than Zhou Ye from the ''Legend of the Female General''. Zhou Ye is also an excellent actress, though. In conclusion, the drama is 8/10 since there are more pros than cons.
I recently finished this drama. Well, it's a good drama. I really like Xu Kai and Tan Song Yun. Both are excellent actors. They look well together. She's so tiny compared to him:). Other characters also played well for me. The story and plot are 7/10 for me. Nothing eye-catching happened in the plot. I watched several similar dramas featuring a super-successful, cold-on-the-outside-but-sweet-inside CEO, paired with a lovely, intelligent, and caring lady. And I cannot call myself an experienced C-drama watcher yet. Well, at least nothing bad and heavily emotional happened in the drama. So, it's good to watch it as an appetizer. In the end, I give the actors playing in this drama 8/10.
It's another good political drama for me. It has an interesting plot, though, starting with a cliche-amnesia case. The male couple fit each other by appearance and character. However, I think it didn't give FL enough screen time as the gang leader. Yes, she's intelligent, financially educated, and capable, but I wanted more fighting for her. I don't like it when authors forget that they made FL a badass, clever, and capable character, only to diminish her to a companion for the male lead. That's at least what I saw in this drama. Unfortunately, it happens often in Chinese dramas. In those that I watched so far. I'm not asking for a female lead to be a brute and burly, save-the-day type. Maybe I'm being presumptuous... I don't know...:( Oh, I really love the Empress!!! Overall, it's 8/10, so I will certainly rewatch it sometime later.
I really like the female costumes in this drama. I've not seen ones like them previously. The male costumes are okay... but they look too big on all the male characters:), in my opinion. Well, all the actors are stunning, so let's wait and see how it works for them. I'm definitely going to watch this drama. I love cold, imposing, and confident FLs.
From what I saw in the bts, FL is quite tall, not much shorter than HMH. That is, if my eyes don't trick me, at least:) I like it. FL looks imposing and stunning in her costume and demeanor.
You're reading too much into it. Ai Mi wore two princess silhouette style dresses at Scream Night. You literally…
I don't see any disgust in my comment. Considering that you're paying attention only to the first part of my comment and not the one where I wish the drama and actors a success, I don't see I'm the one conspiring here.
The phrase ''I think...'' in English implies that I exress my opinion, not the state of fact matter, for which I have all the right in the world just like any other MDL user.
From the photos from the IQIYI event, both male lead actors avoid standing close to Ai Mi, except to take pictures. And here I'm not saying that they should stand close to her. I think that they're a bit afraid to, even if they didn't intend to. I think many complaints about her age may have resulted in this... Hopefully, no further issues will arise, and the drama will be a success. All actors deserve it for their hard work.
It's AWESOME!!! The drama has almost everything that I like - an interesting storyline, a well-described setting, and gorgeous actors playing interesting characters. I rarely encounter a fantasy story (here, I'm not sure of a correct Chinese name for this genre) with good action and mystery; most of them are about love and drama. But here, it's action, mystery, friendship, love, and TRAGEDY. I literally cried after completing this drama. However, creators included too many reminiscent and melancholic scenes for every character. Well, everyone has their own tastes. All actors played well, their characters feel like real individuals. WX and ZYZ have such a great love, devoted and tender. No kisses are needed to express the intense love and commitment that they have. WX appears too weak and lagging compared to others, I think. The authors could have made her stronger, at least in terms of magic. On the other hand, she has good comrades to count on, so maybe I wish too much. I will definitely rewatch this drama later. Maybe when I have an urge to cry...(
