The school festival gives Hare a chance to step a little further outside his shell and enjoy school life with Asamiya and his friends. His adorable werewolf costume and Asamiya’s handsome vampire look make this episode especially charming.But just as Hare begins to understand his own feelings, Asamiya suddenly tells him, “You don’t have to fall in love with me.” It is probably his way of being gentle and not forcing open the door to Hare’s heart—but the timing could not be worse. Why say that now, Asamiya?

Episode 4 made me realize again how painful Chen’s position is.Fourmod wants to be an idol, and Chen understands what that dream means. That is why, even when Fourmod tells the agency that he doesn’t have a boyfriend, Chen can only say, “It’s okay.”But of course, it isn’t okay.What frustrates me about Fourmod is the way he uses other people to test someone’s feelings. He seems to need proof that he is loved, even when Chen’s love is already right in front of him. Watching Chen continue to love him quietly makes Fourmod’s behavior even harder to accept.At the same time, this episode made the structure of Gelboys clearer to me. These relationships seem to be built on repeated separation and reconstruction—people hurting each other, losing each other, and only then realizing what the other person meant to them.Maybe Fourmod also needs to see Chen’s love clearly before he can understand its value.But seriously, Fourmod… you idiot.Loving someone really hurts.

Serizawa’s absence makes the classroom feel noticeably dimmer to Suzuki. He already misses him before he even realizes what that feeling means—and then Serizawa sends him a message saying, “I want to see your face.”Episode 4 gives us the classic BL nursing scenario. While taking care of the feverish Serizawa, Suzuki finally becomes aware that his feelings are no longer just friendship. The way the drama uses Serizawa’s “sparkle” to show how brightly he shines in Suzuki’s world is simple but very sweet.Meanwhile, Serizawa is still approaching Suzuki so naturally and confidently that I cannot believe he is completely unaware of what he is doing. And being fed pudding by your future boyfriend? Suzuki, you lucky boy!

Two years into living together, Miyata and Iwanaga still look at each other far too much—even when the other person isn’t looking.Miyata remains the realist who cannot fully believe that such a rich, elegant, and impossibly handsome man truly belongs with him. Iwanaga, meanwhile, still gazes at Miyata as if he is the most adorable person in the world.Their relationship has settled into comfortable domestic life, yet their eyes remain hopelessly in love. And, of course, Iwanaga’s mischievous assistant is still there to tease Miyata and stir up his jealousy.A lovely first episode that brings back everything I adored about this couple.

Episode 9 finally puts all the pieces on the board.Thun’s past is revealed, the corruption within the police becomes clearer, and both Kaye and Phat are getting dangerously close to truths that could change the rest of their lives.What makes this episode especially painful is Kaye. After everything he has already endured, he loses his father as well. His past has been devastating, and Dew portrays his grief and loneliness beautifully.Phat may be facing an equally cruel truth. The person he has trusted for years may be connected to the very tragedy that shaped his life. Even if the case is solved, can he simply return to being the same police officer afterward?Now the biggest question is no longer who is behind everything, but what Thun actually wants.Does he want revenge, justice, the truth to finally be exposed—or something else entirely?Whatever his final move is, it may determine not only how this case ends, but how Kaye and Phat live the rest of their lives.A very strong setup for the finale.

Bay finally confesses his feelings, and Sun admits that he sees Bay as more than a friend. Sun also changes his plans and agrees to team up with Bay as a doubles pair.Their fathers’ rivalry still weighs heavily on Sun, making him afraid that they will be separated if their relationship is discovered. Although their romance finally moves forward in Episode 6, the overall pacing remains frustratingly slow.Surprisingly, I’m becoming more interested in Bay’s older brother and the tennis coach than in the main couple.

Sora chooses romance as the theme for his short film, and Hinata ends up becoming his co-star. Sora tries to hide how pleased he is, but everyone around them is beginning to notice his feelings—even if Hinata himself is still confused.Their fictional romance finally turns into a real first kiss while they are editing the film in Sora’s room. It is a sweet episode, although I still feel the drama tries a little too hard to make Hinata overly cute. Fukuda is naturally charming, so I would prefer a more relaxed and ordinary version of the character.

What impressed me most about Episode 3 was its delicate pacing.Niran has devoted himself to judo since childhood, but he has suddenly reached a point where he can no longer enjoy it. He does not yet know whether the pressure comes from his father, his school, or himself. He is standing at one of those uncertain crossroads between adolescence and adulthood.Then there is Cheewa, the younger astronomy nerd who happily explains his feelings through science and gravity. When Niran is with him, even their silences feel warm and peaceful.Sea and Keen are doing surprisingly delicate work here. Sea gives Cheewa the innocent enthusiasm of a clever child asking, “Do you know this?” Meanwhile, Keen plays Niran with a quiet melancholy. Niran is not completely unaware of Cheewa’s feelings; he sometimes avoids answering them directly, yet whenever Cheewa wants to say something, Niran patiently waits as if encouraging him: “Go on. Tell me.”This drama uses long pauses, which could easily make the scenes feel slow or empty. Instead, Sea and Keen fill those pauses with glances, hesitation, affection, and unspoken understanding. Their performances are subtle and genuinely rewarding to watch—and somehow, they are still incredibly cute together.
