As for Yan Xun, he came in the picture when Chu Qiao was at her lowest and they became each other's suport, what they had in the drama was comradeship, not love. Yan Xun loves Chu Qiao more and she became his lifeline and obssession. In PA, Chu Qiao was so stubborn about going back to Yan Xun, but she realized that he betrayed her and that he wanted to kill Yuwen Yue. Chu Qiao finally realized her feelings for Yuwen Yue and went on to rescue him. Coming and saving him in the frozen lake is already a testament of Chu Qiao's love for Yuwen Yue/Zhuge Yue. As for Li Ce, Chu Qiao grew close to him because he he doesn't have any ill-intention towards her, what they had is true friendship.

It's not really unexpected Zhan Ziming being pregnant is already a foreshadowing of future events. Chu Qiao did it to protect Biantang and Li Ce's child. She felt responsible for what happenned to Li Ce.

What plotholes are you talking about? If you compare it with PA, you'll end up thinking that your confusion are plotholes. But, if you follow Rebirth's storyline, there aren't plotholes, but foreshadowings of events.

From what I understand with their comments, it is a sin to be young and still get casted as Chu Qiao. Maybe after ZLY declined, the competition to get casted was so fierce because some were insisting that older actress with more experience should have been picked.

Wow, ZLY as Chu Qiao also expressed one expression throughout PA, her eyes were constantly glaring with a poker face. At least here in Rebirth, Chu Qiao finally made peace with Zhuge Yue, her expressions are milder, she matured a bit and she's not as stiff as a rock anymore. XD
