I've watched PA and only read parts of the novel and now eagerly watching Rebirth. Actually in PA, Yuwen Yue deserves the cold treatment. He killed Chu Qiao's foster brother, so she became his bedchamber partner to avenge the death of her brother—but Chu Qiao didn't knew the real reason why Yuwen Yue did what he did. Yuwen Yue is to blame because a lot of times he deliberately made Chu Qiao misunderstood him. And that's when Yan Xun came in the picture playing the prince in distress and victim card. Naturally, Chu Qiao is drawn to him because she has that protective instinct for her people and she considered Yan Xun as one of her people. But when Yan Xun betrayed her trust and she realized her true feelings for Yuwen Yue, she rushed to save Yuwen Yue in the frozen lake battle. So, Chu Qiao coming for Zhuge Yue in the frozen lake is already a testament of her love for him. She chose Zhuge Yue. As for Li Ce, I think Chu Qiao considered him as a bestfriend because he never had ill-intention towards her, so she will do everything to help him no matter what and Zhuge Yue understands that.

I've been reading a lot of post and comments pointing out that she's too young for the role of Chu Qiao. 😑😑😑 I'm watching Rebirth because I'm a fan of PA and I've been praying for a continuation of the drama since they left me hanging with that traumatizing ending. Now, a sequel was made and fans are watching just to complain about her age? If you're really a fan, you will know that Chu Qiao is not a really complex character that shows complex emotions. What made PA compelling is the plot and Chu Qiao and Yuwen Yue's master-servant relationship. He loves her in a restraint way and she wants to free herself from slavery. So what do people expect from HYTT's portrayal of Chu Qiao? So far there's no heavy scenes that requires heavy emotions for her.

They are actors, if they fit the role, age doesn't matter at all. For me, HYTT fits the bill because no other actress can replace ZLY to play Chu Qiao other than her. The production team is wise enough to consider that HYTT played the young Chu Qiao in PA so fans won't have a hard time accepting it. 😑😑😑

At episode 21, I really wish I could go inside the screen and kill the living daylights out of Yan Xun. He really doesn't know when to let go, he even played it very dirty, manipulating public opinion so Chu Qiao won't have any choice but to surrender herself.
