Bromance/Deep Friendship media as a genre is not wrong. We shouldn't have to weed out a genre because some people want it to either be one step forward or one step back. SkyNani didn't choose what they were uncomfortable with. It's clear they are comfortable with this. Oh my gosh my head hurts thinking about this. This is so messy. The controversy plaguing this, both valid and invalid, has led to a very fractured conversation. Stuff like a mega boycott could have happened if not for how badly things have gotten. Now everything is basically a whole big fanwar with unreasonable people on both sides. If some people decide to boycott, others will just dig in their feet and watch even more. Like I said before, I'm not in a Gaga area, so I'm gonna watch it, but for the wider the public, I have no way to control them.

To be honest, I feel the Gaga thing is odd and frankly a little tone-deaf on gmms/Gaga's side. Knowing the hate it is already facing, doing that only excaberated the situation, affecting everyone. I don't know if there's a reason, maybe a main character is Lgbt in some way, or it's just the case of the highest bidder When I say don't watch, I'm not trying to be insensitive to the problems that we perceive, I mean boycott, send emails to gmmtv too, but hating on the show as some people are resorting to, or using it as "proof" SkyNani are homophobic and so on is far from helping the matter. In the end, I hope gmmtv gets their shit together, as well the fans. They've recently had a lot of streaming and geoblocking issues, now adding on this hate parade and I want to freaking delete social media and go back to watching cartoons.
