I thought this drama was simply ok. Nothing really stood out as being above average apart from the friendship between Eun Bo and Wal. It's not everyday the FL is shown to have a deep friendship (akin to bromance --so not romantic) with a male character. I wished Wal was better developed, though. Although, to be frank, nobody was really developed in this drama. Overall, I rated this a 7/10. A good one-time watch if you have time to kill, though wouldn't watch it again and I'll probably forget it in a few months.
I can't imagine how frustrating the situation must have been for the families. I still can't believe the Captain left the ship without first instructing those left behind about the situation! The ineptitud of those in charge and their inability to make a decision based on fear of responsability is truly tragic and horrendous.
This show reminds me of the 1999 movie, the Bone Collector. It follows essentially the same concept. Where you have the ML (Denzel Washington) paralyzed and in a wheel chair directing a rookie rookie patrol officer (Angelina Jolie) who found the scene of a crime (serial killer). https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Bone_Collector
So I am pretty sure that's where they got their inspiration from.
a) They haven't yet told us how he found the old, blind man. b) Up till now they simply mentioned that, after…
Interesting, although that still raises the question of how would he even get the money to travel alone (give we were told he ran away from his parents). Also, I was under the impression that the FL was older than the ML in the show (their characters).

Oh, so I had it the other way around, then? Which means that the new question is how did an underage kid managed to travel to Korea from the US on his own.
Yesterday's episode was the weakest. Sure, we got some new information regarding the Doctor and how they all knew each other... but most of that we've already been told about through conversations between characters. IDK, after the strong start this raises a red flag for me. Because it makes me think that they might not have a lot of story and they are unnecessarily stretching things out. Anyone else felt the same?
did I miss the part where they explained a) how he knew the old man could see death and b) how he ends up staying…
a) They haven't yet told us how he found the old, blind man. b) Up till now they simply mentioned that, after realizing he would lose someone precious to him, he ran away from home. How he got himself out of Korea and into the US however, is a mystery. Most probably he met the blind man and he took him with him to the US.
@3GGG I think the same that GDK will bury SJY alive and KTP could not find her until he dies so that he cries.…
I think the purpose of the drama will be to avert that fate. So I wouldn't be surprised if it ends up that the ML dies rather than the FL. Perhaps he dies taking down the antagonist and, thereby, saving the FL. Or maybe even we'll have a happy ending (though I wouldn't be surprised if the ending was either tragic or bittersweet).
Just saw the preview for the next episodes and it really gave me the chills. Because now we know why the ML cries at the moment of his death... He might've been looking for the FL up until that moment and seconds before he dies, he realizes he never finds her. D: Even if the show changes direction, that's quite a beautiful (albeit tragic) story.
This was a 4.5/10 for me. While I loved the side characters, their stories constituted around maybe 40% of the drama/screentime.
And still the side stories can only get a 8/10 (since some were left undeveloped and they had so little impact).
While I liked the FL and enjoyed some of the scenes which related to the her friend and family, her love story was clichéd and somewhat cringy. Of course, neither her acting nor her character left much of an impression and, in a few weeks, I will probably forget her entirely.
The main love triangle tested my tolerance and almost all the ML's scenes was downright hard to watch. Partly because I couldn't connect with the ML (neither with the actor or his character), but mostly because he was written quite boring.
Sadly, despite how great some side characters were developed, this is not a drama I would recommend.
I honestly don't know. I thought at first she was going to use her blood to write a message or something. But...…
Ok, I kept thinking about this a while longer and maybe (and this is a stretch) she might've done that to stay awake? Because she would know that if she fell asleep, she would die.
I remember watching a documentary about two hikers getting stranded on a snowy mountain. They knew that if they fell asleep they wouldn't wake up. So, in their desperation, they ended up hitting each other; full on fighting so the adrenaline could counteract some of the drowsiness. So it might be that the writer wanted to hint at that (though it wasn't properly established as such).
So I am pretty sure that's where they got their inspiration from.
Anyhow, I am enjoying the show so far.
I will keep watching for now, since I need a lighter drama to handle all the crime dramas I'm watching, but I do hope it will get better.
