I'm in awe at this drama. Episode 14 really cemented the writer's commitment to the story.
He's truly putting every character through the wringer and he has them reacting accordingly. These are characters who are developed through real pain and in the absence of plot-armor.
It's very rare when you find a show like this and I'm loving every moment; even those accomplished at the expense of my tears. If you've been on the fence about this show, tear it down and enjoy!
The female characters in this show are absolute badasses! And, on top of that, we get refreshingly sensitive men who aren't immune to feeling scared. Still need to watch episode 14!
Is the CEO of Sunday really Ji Soo Hyun’s husband or not? Like what prosecutor said. I don’t get it cause…
No, they aren't actual husband/wife but rather he's using the term as in his "work wife". A term sometimes used to refer to a coworker you spent a lot of time with, arguably more time than with your actual family.
I think the reason why the CEO might feel threatened by the relationship between the leads is because FL might get swayed to make moral choices rather than monetary ones. So it's just bad business.
Unfortunately, Go Ara's ankle injury really hurt her character. Yeo Ji has become little more than a background character. As a result, we have seen no real development or contribution from her. It's a shame not only because her character started out so strong, but also because it's really no one's fault. Just bad luck.
It's impossible according to common sense, after all when ML was with paval how old is he. Either the sub wasn't…
No, actually, that makes sense.
So he was brought to the house for his organs. The girl died. He was returned to the orphanage and mistreated. Then his bf is adopted into that same house. Perhaps 88 found out something about that family and, worried, tried to find his friend. That's when the "father" (I'm terrible with names) catches him and tries to run him over.
That ties in with Pavel later on. Since Pavel mentioned 88's "family" wanted him dead.

The only thing that I do wonder if why number 88 was treated so poorly (abused). After all, you'd think you would want to keep him safe since you need his organs, right? So the scene where he's dragged away and we hear he's being hit is the only one that I'm not sure about (seems like the writers may have added it for drama's sake).
This drama is rapidly declining for me. I was very much enjoying this in the beginning and midway, but the last…
I agree. It seems like she still can't put weight on her leg, which translates into cropped and mostly inactive shots. Go Ara's/Yeo Jin's contributions to the story since her return to set are practically non-existant.
I also feel like they are stretching the story by adding an obstacle after obstacle, but they all, unfortunately, feel quite shallow and scripted.

Yes, I have a feeling that's where it's heading. Which might indicate that number 88 may have been born to give his organs to the girl who gave him his name (the girl on the wheelchair). Maybe he found out and tried to run and that's why he was run over?

"...when the man and woman were talking, they mentioned so many people at the same time, but they could have meant whether number 88 knows that he's living with the daughter of the man that's responsible for all this?" --> Oh, actually that would make more sense. I wonder if we're going to be told that the numbered kids (if they were indeed born through artificial insemination) were bred to harvest their organs or something. I get 2005 "The Island" movie vibes.

Boys can get a girl pregnant from as young as the age of 11. ML, I believe they mentioned, was 10 years old.
However, in this case, they mentioned the girl was born through artificial insemination. So I'm guessing they found a boy who looked similar to that 60-year-old man so the child could pass off as his family. Remember, the man in the wheelchair saw the ML's picture when he was a kid and mentioned: "he looks a lot like me".
I didn't understand the moment where Mi Young cried too ?? She was worried about him I guess but I thought it…
I understood that scene differently.
I think she cried because it dawned on her that he could've died that day. Being a hero was actually putting him in harm's way, which is something she hadn't considered.
After all, she cried as soon as he mentioned that he was almost run over trying to save a man. And, remember, his ex-bf told her it was hard not knowing if "she would come back" because her job put her in harm's way.
So when she said "why is this so hard for me?" she may have been realizing, for the first time, that she could've lost someone; rather than her being lost to someone.
I also assume she could be feeling guilty. Because what he did to her (not telling her he almost died) is EXACTLY what she's doing to him (by not telling him she's back as a field agent).
Thank you for reading, @Seliz! Yeah, the article about "romance-related" cues would need a spoiler warning. I…
Yeah, I'll make a note about going about it that way. And also including that extra warning for those who might not want to know those techniques and prefer waiting to find out who the leads end up with. Thanks for the input :).
Here again, I love your articles! I just finished watching Legal High so the ones you mentioned I had actually…
Hi, @anacouver! Thank you for reading this article as well and the overall support for the series! Legal High was so much fun. I would love it if it got a second season, but who knows if they'll do it. Regarding Hello Monster, it really has very good directing, so it's a drama I like to re-watch every now and then. Same with Fight for my Way & Because this is my First Life, which is why I added examples from those ones. :)
Ep. 17-18 & ep.19-20 will air on April 10th and 11th, 2019, which is one week later than originally scheduled. The delay is to allow better production for the following episodes. Summary clips of "Big Issue" will air in its place on April 3rd and 4th, 2019.
This drama changes from the typical dramas; I am really surprised in the good way. Don't drop this drama because…
I think the important distinction to be made between this drama and a drama that portrays something unhealthy as romantic (ex. Noble, my Love), is that this drama doesn't portray the kidnapping as romantic. Far from it. And that's a BIG deal and adds a point in its favor.
Both characters know the situation is f**ked up, they remind each other of it all the time throughout the first half. Heck, BOTH of them even think of ways to use/develop the"Stockholm syndrome" to their advantage. And this struggle for power makes the drama interesting.
This is a drama that doesn't deny the plot is knee-deep in a pool of grey shades. It makes for a refreshingly different watch from your typical k-drama.
Thanks for that! So enlightening as always! I learned so much about the dutch angle and the boxing! I’d love…
Thank you for reading, @Seliz! Yeah, the article about "romance-related" cues would need a spoiler warning. I hadn't thought about that so I'll need to do some thinking.
The possibilities: >Use only one drama. >Use less examples = using less dramas = less spoiler warnings? >Use older dramas rather than newer ones, increasing the possibilities of people having already seen them...?

This show certainly deserves much more love!

Still, the bodyguard has my heart! <3 I just wished his character was fleshed out.

So, in actuality, ML is the biological dad.
