On Unintentional Love Story Mar 31, 2023
We're getting long episodes, a new story, not one but two visual couples, fine cinematography and overall a praiseworthy production. SK is surely raising the bar high. Personally I like the second lead couple's chemistry better. They give off a natural connection. Tho the main leads are a tad awkward for me Tae Joon's character sorta balances it out between them. I dunno what but Won Young is a little stiff. He needs to loosen up a bit. I love the bickering between Dong Hee and Ho Tae. I definitely understand why Dong Hee doesn't want to give in to Ho Tae. I mean when your high school crush suddenly asks you to date him for a month out of the blue obviously you'll be skeptical. Especially when the dude's only been dating girls his whole life. And the little dumb shit keeps mentioning ONE MONTH everytime he asks Dong Hee. It hurts when it was an unrequited love for so long and now when it seemingly gives you a bit of hope, that little bird brain offers a limited edition. Lol. I really hope Ho Tae stops being a hoe and seriously consider Dong Hee's feelings without spewing nonsense. But I'm glad how upfront he's with his feelings. I'm so invested in them actually.
Also, I'm seeing a lot of emotionally open men in K-BLs lately. Like Ki Tae in ODS and now Ho Tae in this. Tae boys are like I'm open and proud. Lol.
I'm sure we're gonna get all fluff next week with the main couple, then I'm looking forward to the heartbreak and then obviously the happy ending.

That was such a short watch. The leads were beautiful. A visual couple. Beautiful story. Nothing too deep. It was only about them. I still don't understand what reason was that intense to go as far as to them wanting to break up. Still I enjoyed it. Anyone can binge this easily if they want to. I'd like to see them again. Aesthetic production. Even the simplest story could be elevated with good acting and decent cinematography. In that way this BL did justice.

I think I got diabetes after watching this. Ki Tae and Wan destroyed my face. It was hurting from all the smiling. The amount of times I had to bury myself in the pillow. They had NO RIGHT to be that shamelessly adorable. Hands down the best BL of this year so far. The chemistry, the story and the production was perfect. Both leads were excellent in portraying their characters. Not an ounce of awkwardness between them. This was the perfect combination of BL romance and natural chemistry. I wish they had longer episodes. The actors have great potential. Especially Seung Gyu. His Ki Tae was effortlessly charming and charismatic, and was openly affectionate. I loved how transparent he was with his emotions when it came to Wan. On the 7th episode when he was looking for Wan and hugged him crying was some praiseworthy acting. He finely showed a lover's emotions of being afraid of losing his beloved. I really want to see both Seung Gyu and Jong Hyuk at least one more time as a couple cz the length of this series doesn't do justice to their acting and chemistry. Their talent deserves more spotlight. I'm gonna miss them so much. This goes parallel with the Semantic Error feels cz the stories and the acting are so good in both.
I hope this opens up more opportunities for the lead actors cz they're two of the best rookie actors I've seen in a K-BL. I'm gonna keep coming back to this cz they were literally my mid-week serotonin boost!
Kudos to the whole production team for doing a marvelous job!

What's going on with South Korea?!!!! It's like they've had a BL epiphany recently. From Our Dating Sim to now this, I'm getting spoiled at this rate. The first two episodes were freakn adorable it was too good to be true. I like the slow burn and the casual build up in their chemistry. Both leads are doing a marvelous job. Jae Won's my favorite character and he's clearly showing affection towards Ji Hyun. And Ji Hyun is the most cutest university student ever. He's such a small bean and looks like a puppy next to Jae Won. I like the production and how they're developing the story.
It's so progressive and unique when SK is always making their BLs different from each other. Their plots are creative with different settings and that's how it should be. Maybe the themes could be the same but I love that the approach is always new. Keep it coming!
I was happy to see longer episodes but bummed that it's not 10 but only 4 episodes. So technically this show will end next week. Oh how I wish that this had more!!! Anyways I'm looking forward to it, the cast is doing a great job. Kudos to the production team!

This was a light watch. They tried to get into more serious topics like Tae Hyun's trauma and Da Yeol's conflicting feelings about his future but didn't go all the way. For a simple high school romance this was ok. They're rookie actors and idols at that, so it was given that some scenes felt a tad awkward and it didn't entirely live up to the BL standard. The effort is quite commendable, I really liked Da Yeol's reaction in episode 6 to Tae Hyun's pleads. He was being manipulative to a certain point and was just dragging Da Yeol's feelings as he pleased. I was very glad that the writers didn't make Da Yeol pity Tae Hyun at that moment. Yes TH had his own trauma he was dealing with but it was clearly unfair to have confused DY cz of it. Also, the time jumps kinda didn't make sense to me, cz I didn't see any development in their relationship even after 4yrs. It was like they just started dating. Obviously I didn't expect any intimacy from them given 2/3rd of it was set in high school but they could've at least given them an endearing hug at the end.
Anyways, I enjoyed this while it lasted. I won't miss it as much tbh. But happy this series happened. If these idols are looking for an acting career they will have to take time to really improve.

At this point I've given up on making sense of what's happening on this show. Lol. This is what I know so far:

- Ken is the dude who'd get strangled even in his dreams. He really should start wearing a neck collar. The dude's main purpose is to get choked each episode. #protecttheneck #wearacollar
- Lue is the dude who's thirsty for Ken but supposedly have to compete with a dead guy to win him over. I mean if Lue's really Din, the dude really is in a love triangle with himself and himself. Lol.
- Payu & Hin are the second lead couple we never asked for but we're getting them anyways so we just watch them cz they're the only ones who're still getting it on after 6 episodes.
- Din is the dead guy who've left most of us confused. Is he Lue? Is he one of the masked guys? If so, did he actually try to strangle Ken? Seriously, ain't no rest for this dead dude. He's busy leaving more questions than answers. At least for now. Lol.
- Mayor is the one with the cool eye. The typical dirty villain in a Thai drama. He has a thing for wood. He'll do anything to get his wood.
- Nok is the crazy minion. He must be descending from Hyenas cz the dude looks like one, acts like one and laughs like one.
- Inspector Don is mostly analysing handshakes. Or chewing gum, or walking in slo-mo. Typical dirty cop.
- Din's parents will be the last to know what's going on, usually that's how it happens. They'll be devastated to know they've been going to the wrong guy for help.
- Ken's dad seems to be the only guy who's living an ordinary non-problematic life in this drama. If anything we should learn to be like him. Minding our own business. I mean he's literally minding his "business" in Taiwan.

Well I like the production in general, this would've had more potential if the plot was solid. So far I like Mr. Lue. The actor is doing a good job.
A missed opportunity tho, but I'm gonna keep watching it cz I think we should commend the effort for trying to do something different from other BLs.
Hopefully they'll start giving us some clarity from next week.

On A Boss and a Babe Mar 25, 2023
I love Force. Period. Like I dunno what draws me to him, something about his calm and collected character just suits his overall demeanor. And LOOOORRD those veins in his hands! The man is well built! Gun is oddly realistic enough for me. Like how he doesn't seem so high and mighty for a boss and the way he treats Cher so softly. He doesn't seem to jump into conclusions and gives others space too. Even with his friend, he seems to have given him the benefit of the doubt tho the friend has seemingly betrayed him. He's honest. And I feel like he's always been taken advantage of for that honesty. Cher is a little too extra for my liking but I think that's how his character is. He's there to balance out the relationship. Like he said their character traits balances out each other. The plot is nothing major, so far there hasn't been anything special. And I feel like for an intern and a boss, their relationship escalated a little too quickly and unrealistically. If this was real life I wouldn't even had the chance to see my boss like that or let alone talk in several full sentences just one day into my internship. Lol. Bahaha forget about going on solo trips with him.
Anyways I'm enjoying this series. This is much better than Enchanté. ForceBook is like one of my guilty pleasure couples. There's nothing too exciting about them but something about their friendship draws me to them. Like they don't do fan service, long term friends and off screen relationship is genuine. The fact that GMMTV has given them a series tho they aren't super popular like other couples is a win itself. Even after their previous one underperformed.
I'm gonna enjoy this without thinking too much. It's a simple story. Nice way to end the week.

Liking the slow burn from both leads so far. I also like the fact that they have given a healthy length for this BL cz this is the first time I'm seeing a Korean BL airing beyond 30mins. Super grateful for that.
Acting wise the main leads are a little too animated for me to be realistic. But JWY is finally starting to realize his feelings. Tae Joon is obviously hiding away cz his father doesn't want his son to be gay, at least it seems like his father is the male version of a typical evil mother-in-law of a K-drama. Lol. When he gave money to that guy I was like these guys are really pushing all the K-drama cliches in this BL.
Love the second leads. Tho their screen time is less the chemistry is natural. They really have some unresolved tension and feelings between them, I'm really looking forward for their confrontation. Personally I like them better than the main couple. I hope we'll get more scenes with them.
The plot is very predictable, I'm waiting till JWY get caught and obviously we'll be heading for some heartbreak and suffering. BAhahaHa nothing we haven't come across before actually, so I'm ready.
SK is really giving us some quality BLs thus far. Our Dating Sim is the best yet from them this year. After Semantic Error that is the only other BL that's giving me butterflies atm.
But it's nice to see that they're also showing openly gay characters very often now cz Tae Joon is also very obvious with his actions. Can't wait for JWY to catch up to it. And second leads should freaking start dating already! Looking forward to next week.

The actor who plays Ki Tae is one of the best rookie actors I've seen in a K-BL so far. He's so natural. And I love his character as well. I love how direct he is with Lee Wan. Like no hesitation and just says what matters without confusing Lee Wan. It's so refreshing to see a gay character wanting to be open about their relationship. Gosh both episodes 5&6 were cute as shit. I was smiling from ear to ear. Their relationship is so natural and their interactions are the best. I just love Eddy. And Ian is finally living his dream. This is definitely gonna be my favorite BL this year. Just so adorable. Perfect chemistry, no awkward intimacy. Seriously SK have upped their game. Other K-BLs should take notes from these guys.

Ok it was a good watch. Not great but totally watchable. I liked the obvious shyness between the leads, they were an adorable couple. Acting wise it was nothing exceptional. For rookies they did a decent job. The plot wasn't meant to be serious. There never was a major storyline but I was glad the leads relationship was steady. There was no unnecessary drama and it developed consistently. For a short, lighthearted drama I think they did well. The romance of course could've been a little more shown nevertheless I liked how forward Ji Yu was around Ki Hoon and always gave him courage to be brave. Bahaha the dead fish kisses still continues in K-BLs but I suppose something's better than nothing. One of the few times I've seen a proper kiss in a K-BL is in To My Star and Roommates of Poonduck 304. Most of these leads do have chemistry tho, just that intimacy isn't the greatest trait. Still I like the innocence and the cute scenes.
I'll miss this liquor couple.

Title Bed Friend
Best part for me are the cinematic shots and that's it. The editing is choppy, there's absolute no direction to where the plot is heading. Episode 5 literally had nothing going on apart from the introduction of Uea's next assaulter. The dude really can't catch a break from trauma. From his uncle, to ex bf, to now the new boss!!! The leads have chemistry but honestly I feel like they could do so much more. Their conversations are only about sleeping together, King's only question is when can he sleep again with Uea!! Lol. Uea at least have one flashback of his past each episode or gets scared or gets injured by something or someone.
The office scenes are aimless sometimes and I dunno why they've made "Jade" so clueless and dumb. We're halfway into the series and I see no progress. Most scenes feel like fillers. I mean what was the purpose of that foodball match scene?! They already spend so much time together!! I hope this doesn't become another "Bite Me". Only aesthetic shots nothing else.

It was surprising to see Seo Won in a BL since he's somewhat of a mainstream drama actor but nevertheless good to see him in a lead role. Hope this will give him more opportunities in the future.
The plot is intriguing, I think both lead couples have chemistry tho I personally like the second lead couple since there's a lot of tension between them. I really want to know why Ho Tae so obviously acts coldly towards Dong Hee. They definitely have some history. And seems like Ho Tae doesn't want Dong Hee to be the Hyung the way Dong Hee interprets.
One thing so refreshing about K-BLs is that their stories are varied. Every drama has a different setting and a different approach. The plot might be the same recycled story but they always have different takes.
Premise is promising, hopefully it keeps the consistency.

I hope Tae Hyun has a legit redemption arc cz right now what he's doing to Da Yeol is straight up bullying. I know it comes off as cute teasing cz of the aesthetic of the drama, but the dude literally accused Da Yeol of SA and made him the perpetrator for a non-existing crime. I'm sorry there's nothing cute about it. He's literally putting someone else's future in jeopardy given Da Yeol's goal is to play for the national team.
Seems like we'll get more backstory for Tae Hyun's character and I hope they'll make him apologize to Da Yeol first without just making them fall in love neglecting all the bullying. I understand teasing your crush but if this is real life imma bully him back in two fold. Lol.
On a side note the chemistry is natural, both leads are doing a great job. So far I see no awkwardness and I'm looking forward for good development in the plot.

What is it about realistic, gay intimacy that puts you off? Do you feel the same about straight romances? If so,…
Oh no don't get me wrong, nothing about gay nor straight intimacy puts me off. It's just lately I see a lot of excessive "hot scenes" in BLs to the point of them being meaningless and awkward. I really love it when there's a build up to the romance so by the end of it the passion comes naturally to it. Some of the best BLs I've seen like that are the HIStory series: Crossing the line, MODC and also WBL, their build up was more slow burn so the romance and the intimacy felt genuine. ITSY, Semantic Error, Bad Buddy, WYEL, Blueming, His and Beloved in House are also in my list for subtlety. All of these couples felt more natural. Also they really had a plot that developed with a meaning. Bahaha you might see a pattern in what kinda BLs I like.

Well I'm more of a slow burn romance kinda girl, so I'm liking this so far. I like K-BLs with simple plots like this. They take time to develop the romance and I'm here for it. As long as the intimacy is natural I can tolerate. I'm not talking about kisses, just the natural chemistry in general. You really don't need to show skinship to show the love, it's all about the subtle, little things. Hoping for a good development in this.

I didn't notice their chemistry was this bad until episode 8. I had to change my mind.I liked the plot (sure,…
They were so good in the beginning it's just the last couple of them were underwhelming. This and "Oh My Assistant" both were disappointing. Compared to these somewhat mainstream BLs, YouTube channels like Strongberry really produces BLs with strong acting and decent plot.

On Individual Circumstances Feb 9, 2023
Started with so much potential but wasted away. Compared to the recently finished "The New Employee" and "The Director who Buys me Dinner" these two had the least amount of chemistry. They gave two third of the plot to Woo Jae's internal angst and frustration, there never was room for the romance to develop. The last episode felt as if it fell outta the sky. South Korea was doing so good in BLs lately, this is the first time in a long time I'm this disappointed in the plot and the acting. The actors seem to have room for improvement, so I'd like to give them the benefit of the doubt. But if they are to play in a BL again, together or not, they really need to build up the chemistry. There was zero intimacy.
I'm still waiting for Blueming S2, cz that couple was one of the best rookie BL actors I've seen in awhile. Great chemistry and a warm story.

On My Tooth Your Love Dec 2, 2022
Awww episode 9 was adorable. I just love how lovestruck Xun An is. He tries to hide it but somehow it pops out. I liked that he played hard to get though it was playful. Bai Lang at least had to earn his worth by putting some effort and showing his love through food. Yes, the kiss was a bit awkward but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt as we literally have seen them kiss more off screen and this being their first kiss in the story.

Also, I don't think the sister opposing their relationship is necessary. Maybe it's for dramatic purposes but it doesn't seem to fit in. She is an overprotective sister but a person like Xun An dating her lil bro should be the least of her concerns. I mean look at Xun An, he's literally the most understanding, loyal, introverted and caring man anyone would kill to have. He's patient and kind. He looks after Bai Lang so well. If anything the sis should be thanking him for helping Bai Lang with his trauma and slowly ceasing his fear of dental clinics. I hope they don't drag it for long and make the sis make sense by the next ep. I mean we only have 3 more eps to go. And I'm proud of RJ for progressing into adulthood and showing more maturity. I don't approve of his surprise kiss, and they both seemed to be processing what was happening given how neither of them closed their eyes. But even how cool and collected Alex is, if he and RJ are the second couple we're rooting for, Alex really needs to send some signals by now. The man's just walking around dropping sexy English now and then and giving advice to RJ and Bai Lang. He really can confuse RJ if he just keeps at it. Make a move bruh, it's been a good hot minute. RJ is becoming a man each day and he doesn't seem to be yielding his armor. I don't want Alex to wait until RJ eventually gets bored to realize his obvious heart.

Anyways, love this series. It's imperfect but the concept is refreshing and the actors are well casted for their roles.
