I stopped watching Destined after about 20 eps. And it's not her being emotional that I minded. That's all well and good. The problem is, the whole plan about leaving for Youzhou, her market savviness, and strategy were supposed to be hers' alone. GJS had nothing to do with any of it. But that's not how they portrayed it in the drama... I don't know if it gets better later on... but with or without GJS...LYR was strong and brilliant enough from the very beginning... All she ever required was the trust and some much needed approbation from her mother in law.
Why the hell do dramas dumb down the female leads??? Ren Anle is supposed to be politically savvy and astoundingly intelligent. The entire plot revolving around the Judicial Review and the others was supposed to be the result of her careful plotting for 10 years... But now she's simply following LMX's hints???? In the novel, absolutely nobody could guess her conspiracies... let alone LMX. They did the same with Liu Yuru as well. If this is the case, I'd much rather that adaptations don't get produced ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜. Both Chang Feng Du and Di Huang Shu are such amazing books with strong, intelligent and brilliant protagonists 🥺🥺🥺
