Going as slow as I can to better savor the storyline, but I’m having so much fun with this drama. The misfit “fools” are a blast together, and Eunbin and Eunwoo have great chemistry!
I thought this was going to be like The Hangover, but now it sounds more wistful and nostalgic. Either way, I'm glad to have Cha Eunwoo content while he's in the military <3
This drama started off SO great, and the tension was ratcheting up so nicely... But the ending was a big question mark. At least Park Hyung Sik got to do some of his best work, and look his best doing it! Just wish we had gotten a stronger resolution to Dongju and Eunnam's epic romance that STARTED his mission, and that the Seonwoo/Taeyun thing happened for a reason. Like, clearly, it's meant to set up a season 2 (reason for Dongju to return for more vengeance with a new antagonist), but kdramas are by nature not built on a season format so it's very manipulative to do that when you don't even have a single contract yet to get actors to return.
I know this and I haven't watched any of his shows. Trailers and teasers were enough.
Let me speak plainly then: your analogy is illogical. There is no correlation between empathizing with the victim of a crime or knowing said crime is morally wrong and judging an entire project by one clip or trailer. As for your paragraphs about constructive criticism? I can absolutely give and receive constructive criticism with no problem, but you didn't offer any.
I don't know what version of Rented in Finland you watched, but nowhere did I see Eunwoo focus on his appearance to the detriment of his participation, nor would following that advice of yours help him in acting. If you watched any behind-the-scenes moments of his dramas, you would see him giving 100% to action scenes with no regard for how it might mess up his face, and you would hear directors and costars alike complimenting his gung-ho attitude about getting those moments right, without even utilizing his stunt double.
And, of course, others can dislike his acting. You are free to do so. What I take issue with is you saying things like, "you're mad bc looks should override the basics of acting." That is you projecting and assuming something about others. It obviously doesn't affect my self-esteem, because I know who I am, and your incorrect interpretation of my actions won't change that. Kind of you to worry, though!

Projection is what you are doing right now. How are you going to A) compare acting analysis to rape?????, and B) assume those of us who like Eunwoo's work care about looks more than talent? We clearly just have different opinions about the quality of his work and the rate of his improvement, but that doesn't make you superior to me.
I find it funny how you say xyz actor when we all know who lol.
I think it's more that in every drama he's cast in, people come in to claim "he will be overshadowed by [costar]." Then after the drama ends, he continues to gain more fans/CFs from it, so clearly that wasn't true.
I don't know why they are trying to push him so much into acting..bro is too rich from his endorsements. Is his…
He auditioned for MIIGB because his company was going bankrupt and his group was banned from performing due to restructuring, so if anything, his acting is what allowed his idol career to survive.
Since People are attacking you for a very relevant opinion, I am just gonna say, I second that. I have watched…
This is so offensive, honestly. And then y’all pretend you are being objecting and not hating. Why can’t a “normal” person think he’s good? The only “kpop” I listen to regularly is IU, and I think Eunwoo does good work.
Doesn’t anyone find it fascinating how much casual disdain Eunwoo receives for the crime of being cast? I loved his roles in Decibel, Wonderful World and Island, where he showed very different sides of himself and plenty of range as an actor. The discourse about his supposed lack of expressions is straight out of 2018 and needs to be laid to rest.
This is a dream pairing for me! I can't wait to see what kind of chemistry Go Minsi and Cha Eunwoo have. And no matter what you think about the Hong Sisters, their dramas are hits, so I look forward to it.
I actually thought the first half was quite fun and cute, but then they kept stalling and repeating the same three concepts instead of letting the boys switch back early or at least having the 'real' SYJ wake up to spice up the story. How are we meant to care about a love triangle when one angle is not conscious beyond the first episode?
I'm so excited to finally see Cha Eunwoo and Park Eunbin team up! I've been waiting for this since they hosted that awards show together a few years ago. The show sounds fun, and I feel like Eunwoo's character is gonna be a total Clark Kent type.
Why does it seem like Disney Plus Originals can't string a story together to save their lives? I swear, the only good ones have been Moving and Shop For Killers.
It gets funnier when they blame the director for his acting skills🤦🏻♀️ 🤣
But nothing is funnier than y’all putting words in people’s mouths and screaming, crying, throwing up because other people like him and think he’s good. 💜
I’m so excited to see Eunwoo and Eunbin team up in this drama. Wonderful World was so good, and Eunwoo more than proved his dramatic chops for those who care to pay attention without bias, but I still hope this new show will have a hint of romcom to it. Eunbin is always a delight with her comedic timing, and Eunwoo knows how to throw killer googly eyes at his love interests. I expect adorable moments and top-notch chemistry!
Is this worth watching? Also, does it have a happy ending? (without spoiler please)
I would say the ending is satisfying rather than happy, because the subject matter is too dark for there to be a straightforward happy ending. But it is a beautiful series about dealing with grief and fighting for justice (as opposed to revenge), so I would say it is worth watching.
