Really enjoyed this episode (and cried plenty of tears lol). Kim Namjoo is a marvel as always, but I thought the director did a fantastic job setting the mood - the gorgeous almost pastel colors juxtaposed with the dark content was really unique and surprising to me - and the screenwriter has mastered the art of a slow build. We really got to know Soohyun's family and friends, feel her loss and understand her vengeance.
Meanwhile, we have NO idea who Seonyul is yet or how he fits in, but that opening scene with Cha Eunwoo and Namjoo was really impactful. Love that they gave us all these "flashbacks" that we haven't experienced yet so we have to wonder what happens to lead them to that point.
According to these two articles it was originally a romantic drama but probably the director or production company…
This drama is not actually by the Why Her writer, that's just someone with the same name. This screenwriter did Lies of Lies and Cheongdam-dong Scandal.
Kim Namjoo herself said she has a conscience and is not doing a romance with Cha Eunwoo, can everyone move on from that fear? It's a mystery/thriller/healing drama about their two characters dealing with interconnected trauma and scars, more along the lines of My Mister but with some light murder on the side.
I guess most of of you who whine about "age gap" in NOT romance drama, are fans of Cha Eun Woo. No offence, but…
It seems to me that you know as little about Eunwoo's fans as you do Eunwoo himself. I promise you we are not worried about age gaps, and we're most certainly not worried about his performance, because he's already showing an exciting new side of himself.
I want to preface this comment by saying that I mean no offense and I'm not looking to start any arguments. However,…
I'm afraid you are seeing him with pure bias, not to start an argument either, of course. I do think he looks sad, and I see many emotions being conveyed in the few seconds he appears during the trailer. Hopefully he will convince you he is not a robot who just thoughtlessly turns on water works over the course of the drama, but in the meantime, he gets cast because there are people who want to see him and unfortunately for you that's not going to change anytime soon.
The trailer looks so good! I'm excited to see Eunwoo in such a different role, and he's doing great in these short moments. Thank GOODNESS Namjoo finally came back after leaving me hanging in Misty, and I hope Semi gets more to do than she did in Worst of Evil.
With more than 5000 comments? Better to be quiet sometimes than expose your ........
The disconnect is the schedule. No one is watching it live in Korea because it airs once a week in a non-drama slot, and it had like 3 schedule interruptions. But it's in the top 2 on Viki globally for the whole year, and in the top 3 of its respective Viu countries, so *someone's* watching it. It was also the #7 most talked-about kdrama on social media for 2023.
Eunwoo has been killing it in the last few episodes with Seowon's pain, just thought I would say that!!!!! Anyway, thank goodness 13 ended the way it did. Can't wait to see how 14 wraps the show up, that way people can finally binge it instead.
Eunwoo and Gyuyoung did such a lovely, heartbreaking job in the car and beach scenes, even with few lines of dialogue. Well done to both! That's all I'll say.
lmao why does everyone suddenly hate the drama?? i kinda loved it lol.... im not a fan of historical dramas either…
I don't hate it lmaooo, but yeah, I think many people are not fans of exposition. And of course the drama suffers from a bunch of recent ones employing the past lives trope, even though Dog was technically written before them.
Dang, episode 10 got DRAMATIC. But I actually liked seeing the past life story, and Eunwoo was killing it in his…
I think I am most shocked that Soohyun and Maksoon (Seowon and Haena's past life selves) actually did the deed lmao! Maksoon was pregnant and everything, oh my...
Ep 10: Oh no... why did he do that to Uncle??? 😭😭😭
My hope is that he didn't kill him but put him in absolutely dire straits so that Haena will be forced to give up Seowon in order to break the curse on her family.
Dang, episode 10 got DRAMATIC. But I actually liked seeing the past life story, and Eunwoo was killing it in his Joseon look. Hopefully Bogum unclenches and lets Haena and Seowon be happy lmao.
ep 9 was worth the wait. enjoyed it up until the part where bo gyeom was welding that sword to seo won cz like…
Maybe he's mad that she's a high schooler at the school where he teaches LMAOOOOOO. But for real, I had the same question! [SPOILER FOR THE WEBTOON] Originally, she had never been reborn so he was salty watching Seowon & Haena be happy, but here it's like "Sir, do you just not agree that it's still her? What is your damage?"
I was laughing my butt off at Yul, Ms. Yoon, and the little female student's collective heartbreak, squeeing over Haena and Seowon moments, screeching over Yuna having "appetite" for Wootaek, and side-eyeing Bogum being a terrifying weirdo. I really enjoyed the episode, but my point of confusion here is: Clearly Bogum set the curse because of the death of his beloved, but she's reborn now so why are you still mad? Can't you just wait until she graduates and introduce yourself instead of being a freaky stalker who is trying to destroy Seowon and Haena for something their ancestors did?
