A genuine response would be that he is courted by directors to repeat similar roles because of his success in previous ones. There is no doubt that True Beauty's Suho was partially inspired by Eunwoo in MIIGB, and the author specifically said that's who she wanted playing him. Now with Dog, I am sure the director and webtoon author were happy to try for a True Beauty repeat.
That being said, he *does* have other roles. Island, Decibel, and The Best Hit are currently the most different. And he's filming Wonderful World right now, where he's a motorcycle-driving med school dropout trying to get vengeance for something mysterious that happened, so I'm sure that'll be different too.
It’s a good show, but just the rating is too much… people should not trust MDL ratings, like this série would…
If I see a rating of 7.8, I assume it’s a show people had a lot of problems with. Meanwhile, this seems to be a show people are mostly enjoy except for the release schedule. I think we all know MDL operates on a curve, so there’s no need to punish only Dog and not the various other 8-point-something romcoms out there lol.
The ending of this episode was ICONIQUE! The only flaw in the ointment was Bogum's [spoiler] interrupting the [spoiler], lol.
In all seriousness, the comedy of Haena's family going after the bullies and stalkers was very well balanced with her genuine distress at being hunted, not being able to tell Seowon, and facing the very real possibility of staying a dog. And the final confession and kiss scene? Eunwoo and Gyuyoung are oozing chemistry, they should reunite once again to play carefree and outgoing characters so it can be on full display. The epilogue was so lovely, and Eunwoo's smile <3 <3
Outside of the unnecessary "confession" scene at the restaurant, I loved the episode. Yul having his first love and heartbreak in one afternoon was hilarious, Seowon and Haena were so sweet they gave me a toothache during their birthday scenes and the final drunken one, and ofc Kim Min Seok makes a great villain - can't wait for Seowon to kick his butt!
I believe she is referring to Bogyeom and herself, since they were clearly important to each other in their past lives but have no recognition when they see each other.
so they change Yul "fake BF" scene a lil' to a lighter one (more comedic centric than proper BF introduction they…
I 100% agree that the "confession" scene was a miss and should have been excised, but I think they purposely skipped the drunken kiss to avoid any accusations of one taking advantage of the other.
I feel sorry for how objectified he is. He can't get any roles which present him as anything other than an idol…
I disagree about his character here, but my point is that he's already starting to diversify, and I'm sure he will continue to do so. Rowoon has also done more dramas (Matchmakers is his 9th full-length drama role while Dog is Eunwoo's 6th) so ofc there's more diversity.
Hopefully he will do another comedic role soon, but I think "he clearly wants fame" is as disingenuous a statement as "directors don't bother to direct him" was.

He's already branching out with roles so I don't think you need to worry about it. Decibel and Island are quite different from the "aloof pretty boy," and Wonderful World which he is currently filming is definitely going to be different.
But it also doesn't matter how big a name you are, typecasting happens to plenty of actors. You will see actors bigger and more well-respected than Eunwoo say they want to play certain roles yet they don't get those scripts. (ETA: some of the scripts we know he's rejected in the past include Destined With You, which is a pretty similar character, and Nevertheless, which is a similar but more toxic one lol.)
I like the little alterations to the webtoon so far. Am I right: is the new new transfer student/ shamans daughter…
I think it's her, just based on the flashing back to the past when they looked at each other. I think it's better for Bogum to find his happiness onscreen and be able to let go of his grudge, BUT I wish they had made her a student teacher instead of just a student (albeit older) in that case, lol.
These two episodes were so great! First, I loved seeing Haena and Seowon work together, and I appreciated how the show dealt with the topic of bullying without drawing it out or being overdramatic. Then episode 6 had plenty of heart-fluttering moments, thankfully! Let's just hope there are NO MORE DELAYS.
The reason behind the weekly release schedule is that the drama has already made a profit from overseas deals.…
I've always figured this was the reason Eunwoo dramas don't get sold directly to Netflix (so that that can make more money from various other OTT platforms) but now Fantagio/MBC are taking things to an illogical extreme.
Don’t tell me they’re still filming this drama that’s why they aren’t able to air this yet?😅😅
On the contrary, it was actually pre-produced. The reason is that Korean channels have largely gotten rid of their weekday slots, making it harder to schedule the number of dramas available. They opted for once a week on the worst possible slot for Dog in lieu of shelving it until next year, but now we have to contend with baseball season since MBC is airing the games this year.
Frame cha eun woo for sexual harassment? What are you talking about?
The promo shows Eunwoo's character Seowon trying to help a student who is being bullied, and the bully implies that she will turn him in for being "too interested" in high school girls.
Seowon and Haena are so freaking adorable together, and I love how he's opening up to her. Yuna and Wootaek are honestly my favorite characters after the leads, lmao, they crack me up in every scene.

Feeling like I just won the lottery lmao.
