Not really an argument I'm heavily invested in, but I think you could say all religions have some degree of truth…
I was offering an explanation whereby different religions and theologies could be interpreting one universal truth differently, thus not disproving each other but living in harmony.
its funny. If there is reincarnation doesn't that mean Christianity is not true but there is priest who still…
Not really an argument I'm heavily invested in, but I think you could say all religions have some degree of truth to them. Christianity has the idea of Heaven and Hell, but what if Heaven is really hard to get into and you have to keep reincarnating until the final judgment (or until you were "good" enough?) After all, that might be what Purgatory or Limbo (depending on which denomination you're a part of) actually is.
I think the tan is because they live in the coast like in the shore and they were boys so I guessed they spent…
For sure, I totally get the messaging of the tan. But real people don't look like that even with a tan from working outside. The fact that they didn't attempt to make the tan look natural makes me feel (as usual) that they don't care because to them tan = bad regardless.
The first episode gave me "love alarm in the 80s" vibes, and I was not feeling it, but the ending hooked me. Here's hoping it gets better (for me) after this!
And yes, the tan does look horrible and I can't help but feel the classism oozing off it. (I know the point is to convey the classism of the time, but the fact that it's so shoddily done as to look bad just highlights how they see being tan as bad/ugly, AKA colorism and classism from the drama itself and not simply within the story.)
SOME eun woo fans (not all) are really annoying here. They aren't even specifying the reason for not enjoying…
I think most Eunwoo stans knew very well what to expect and were excited for an action thriller with fantasy elements. I am also pretty sure most complaints are not about Island lacking romance or high school shenanigans (which LMAO) but about the slow pace and lack of present-day character progression.
I totally agree with you that Eunwoo was never gonna be male lead over KNG, and I respect that. But calm down about how no one would watch him for his acting or whatever. I do like to watch Eunwoo's ACTING, not just his pretty face, and your comment is the one making him sound like a walking face with no corporeal form or talents to his name.
Ignoring your faulty premise, I will just say you can watch Decibel, Island, or even The Best Hit to see him playing a different type of role from the tsundere.
idk what more you you guys want from him , it’s like you are looking for something to drag him for
I have no idea what lack of expression OP saw, but plenty of actors have moments that don't land for certain sections of the audience. It's incredibly rare, however, for said audience to be so insistent on absolute perfection from only one actor. Man needs to jump through hoops crying and laughing simultaneously while on fire in order to be considered merely "decent."
It's the same, since it's just a romanization of the Korean pronunciation of John. Yohan is what the manhwa/webtoon used, which is why most people default to it, even though Prime Video subs use Johan.
Overall have to agree the story isn't as strong (or moving as quickly) as it should be, but episodes 5 & 6 were pretty darn good. Yohan's storyline was really emotional, and I thought Eunwoo did very well. I hope there is a time jump in season 2 though, so that we can see a more seasoned and prepared Miho, because I love Dahee and want to see her playing the role to its full potential.
Please don't get me wrong. This is NOT supposed to be offensive in any kind of way... but I'm just wondering how…
I think it's pretty cool that he worked on his Italian enough to convey the sentiments of his dialogue while also being easy to understand even without subs (for a speaker of the language ofc). That + his actually getting to be playful = people being impressed he's not actually a stone-faced tsundere like in this two most famous roles, that's all.
Once again for those confused, Island episodes 1 and 2 are premiering on TVing at 12pm KST today, which means in 4 hours. Prime Video should have it available within an hour after that, although the Philippines customer service specified 12:30pm KST if you want to check then.
