Yes. Japanese actors are professional actors who have acted in other dramas/movies, and for them is just a role which they do their best to play well. Some of the japanese actors are married too, have children and are still casted in BL, and they have the same succes or even more in their career. They just go on with their life after, and other actors are casted in other BLs.
It wasn`t the same in the past, the actors who played in some old japanese BL movies, accepted the roles because they wanted the acting experience, but even then i felt the actors genuinely tried to give their best for the role even with the little acting experience and talent, which even years back it made the difference,
Recently, from 2018 until now, from when Pornographer the series was released, Japan has started to cast more well known and experienced actors, and they continued until now, and this is the trend nowadays, which i am very happy to see.

Huh, Tharn Type was based on a novel too, but things were changed anyway when they adapted the content from the novel.
I think is more accurate to say that while the other countries have started making BL dramas and movies following the japanese model, they couldn`t replicate how Japan has made and are making their BLs, because they don`t have the source material used to make japanese BLs, they don`t have a content as diverse as how it can be found in japanese yaoi mangas, and while in the process of adapting their own source material, they still change the material as they are adapting it in the process, or the BLs are adapted from an original script. I don`t think the other countries also wanted to follow exactly the japanese model, as they also don`t have the cultural background the japanese people has when it comes to the way the yaoi/BL fenomen has developed over the years, from yaoi mangas, to yaoi anime and only after to japanese BL live-actions.
As far as i know, it goes like this;
1. Thailand usually adapts their BLs from their home country BL novels, which are of varied quality, and rarely dramas are based on an original script
2, Korea dramas and movies are usually based on an original script, but i saw they have some upcoming BLs based on BL webtoons/webcomics, and some BL novels too.
3. China had a very good potential in becoming a good competitor in making BLs since they have a really huge diversity of danmei novels, which some are really good, but yes, as we know things aren`t looking that good now.
4, Taiwan BLs are usually based on original script.
Basically, it can be considered that all those different dramas/movies made by all these countries are stil BL, and are known this way because they portray same sex relationships, boys love stories in a similar way, but they actually distinguish from each other quite a lot.

Short answer: you can’t 😂
Yes. I`ll also see you there.
I expected the drama might try to remove the romance elements as much as they can since:
1, they aren`t that many genuinely ones anyway
2, is a crime/mystery drama, even the usual dramas from this genre don`t have romance
3. i also saw it airs in a major japanese channel, and it`s a normal kind of drama, it has 10 full eps.
But, i am positive they will not change the story too much, and we will still get some vague romantic moments, and this is enough for me. If the acting and the chemistry is good, which i think it will be, the images and the trailer are good, i don`t need anything more. The chemistry is the best thing when it comes to japanese dramas and movies, and japanese BLs too, not one can do this better than Japan, lol sometimes because of how good the chemistry is, i don`t even need a kiss.
ABOUT The Night Beyond the Tricornered Window, i liked the movie, especially since i really like both actors from other dramas i watched from them, and i didn`t expected too much because of the content.
Honestly, after reading the manga, and i also watched the anime, i don`t even consider the manga to be shounen ai, there was not any acknowledgement of a romantic relationship, not even a kiss, nothing.
So, i can`t fault the movie for being like this, i almost liked the movie better than the manga.

Thinking back, I think it's completely illogical that when I wanted to watch 'bl', I started from Thailand and…
Yes. Japan does have the best BLs quality wise, is just that japanese BLs aren`t as popular, (but things might change in the future), as they have almost zero fanservice, they release a small number of them every year comparing to other countries and the stories told have always a more mature approach usually.
But Japan is the country that started everything, the word BL originates from yaoi, it was just separated in time. Japan also has one of the oldest entertainment industry and they keep improving, they have a strong basis, even with a very small budget, the cinematography is really good.
Anyway, you can read the comments made in this reddit post here, there are very interesting, but i advice to use a computer for it, as reddit works better in computer.

One of best thing about this BL drama is the character flaws. I've seen other Japanese BLs and the characters…
That`s right. This is what Utsukushii kare has done fearlessly and what other japanese BL dramas hasn`t showed until now. This is what i wish to see more for more japanese BLs that will be released in the future, hahaha.
Usually, those kind of characters can be encountered more in japanese BL movies, so i am glad to see a japanese BL drama with this kind of story, as it means Japan will most likely continue to make more dramas with those kind of stories too.

In a more serious note, other BL dramas from other countries usually portray the characters to be almost perfect or to take the right decisions all the time/behave as is expected from them all the time and is too unrealistic. Utsukushii kare has told a story where the characters have some easy to spot flaws, which can`t be interpreted in any other way, and in which the flaws are addressed and not overlooked, in the way that both the characters recognize their flaws, know what they can do to change things, being working on them so they can be together, or choosing to walk away from each other.
The fact that both characters come to accept each other as they are, with flaws and all and still choose to not give up on each other, is also something that is hard to find in BL. Most BL dramas tries to miraculously write the characters having a 180 personality change , so they are shown they have changed and deserve the other, but Utsuskushii kare doesn`t do this.
I don`t know if you know, but this novel is based on the first novel with the same name from a total of three novels, and they tried to condense the story in those 6 eps so it could end exactly where the first novel ended. I wish they would have made more eps, since there were some more story to tell in between what was shown, but i am satisfied anyway, since they portrayed the essential parts of Hira and Kiyoi story.
This is how Hira and Kiyoi are writed to be in the novels, they both are meant to have those flaws, in which they have to overcome and mature together, but the growing is slowly and realistic, it happens over the course of three novels. Hira idolization and worship will never entirely go away in the novels, what changes is that he becomes more aware of it, and he tries to be more considerate of Kiyoi, and Kiyoi comes to accept this part of Hira too, while continuing to keep him in check, in that he don`t allow him to go too far in his behaviour towards him ( he doesn`t not let him get away with his behaviour). Kiyoi has been depicted to look as having a more problematic behaviour in the drama than in the novel, he is indeed as impulsive and reckless in the first novel, but i think they overdone it a bit in the drama at times. In the novel, Kiyoi reflects about his behaviour and tries to change his behaviour around Hira , a thing that is not shown in the drama , which is why i wished the drama has more eps, and this is why i think they need to make at least one more season.
Honestly, even through is based on a novel , the kind of relationship Hira and Kiyoi has, can develop easily in reality to some degree, and i am happy the story wasn`t changed at all. This is why i love to watch Japan movies and dramas after all.

I think this drama can be really really loved by people who are more open minded, people who like to watch more realistic and complex stories, people who watches dramas for the cinematography, artistic and creative aspect of the drama, and also people who like to watch japanese dramas and movies in general or people who has watched a lot of japanese BL movies. Those who are used to watch japanese productions, will appreciate the drama as it is, and they will not be taken aback or surprised about this kind of story, because the majority of japanese dramas address even more messed up and complex relationships than this drama. This is how japanese dramas are made.

MY FACE IS BRIGH T RED FROM LISTENING TO TRACK 6 OF PART 2.... IT FEELS ILLEGAL FOR ME TO HEAR THESE NOISESomg…
Yes. I wished they would have chosen to cut some of the other scenes more short, and add some more scenes of Kiyoi too, especially Kiyoi inner monologues. I mentioned in some of my posts that this is the only thing that i was a bit disappointed, but taking in consideration how well filmed is everything, and the fact that this drama is really close to perfection compared to other japanese BLs i watched, and other BLs from other countries who aren`t even half as good quality wise in my eyes, i am willing to overlook this.
But yes, i will always be a bit bitter that they didn`t show just how hard Kiyoi has actually tried and how much more he actually struggled to get closer with Hira in the novel.
And i am not the only one who is bitter about this, i encountered other people with knowledge about the novel who expressed the same thing. They did Kiyoi a bit dirty, i understand they probably didn`t have a choice, but when i see people still misunderstand Kiyoi after watching all the drama, the bitter feeling "resurrect from the death" you know, because i know if they showed more of what Kiyoi did for Hira after they reunited, i am sure it will make some people change their mind about him.

Hahaha. My question is, why did you listen to it now, and didn`t do it earlier, because i know you knew of it earlier? Just kidding.
Hira is amazing in this aspect, the best, and he will always be like this.
Yes. I also hope more and more people will listen to the audio drama, especially since as i mentioned earlier, someone has started to translate the first audio drama in english in youtube, and that person plans to translate everything, including the 18+ scenes.

Short answer: you can’t 😂
You will definitely see me in Kei x Yaku page.
The changing of the storyline has also made me give up on Thai BLs, since Thailand also has some great BL novels, but they somehow manage to adapt all the bad parts of the story and they usually like to left out the important, essential parts. The fact that that the story in the majority of Thai BL drags unecessarily and the production quality is really low for most of them, comparing wIth Japan and Korea, has made me give up on watching Thailand BLs for almost two years now.
So, lately i have given all my attention to japanese BLs and sometimes korean BLs, but i have to say some Korean BLs has been a big miss with me too. I have the impression that lately Korea is also moving in making too many BLs, without putting enough consideration and care in some of them, i really hope i am wrong on this.

Lol. Japan is not China or Korea in some situations, they will not do something like forcing a hetero endgame, if is something that the mangaka has not expressed directly, since they consulted with the mangaka most likely. Japan never did this with any of the BL adaptations they made until now, there is no one, i can assure you on this as i watched almost all of them.
Also, as you probably know, not matter BG or BL adaptations, Japan usually try to adapt the story as close to the source material as possible. They have this respect for the source material and they think that the manga/novel had the success it had, because it was writed that way, so they don`t try to change the story when they adapt it, and i really admire them for this.

I saw you on Kei×Yaku: Abunai Aibou page too.
I honestly hope the time come faster for me to start watching this drama and i hope it will be good enough to make me forget about Utsukushii kare, even just a bit more.
Kei×Yaku: Abunai Aibou is a crime/mystery drama, which is the genre i like to watch the most, and since even in the usual crime/investigation series Japan makes the focus is never the romance, i am content not matter how they will wrap up the characters relationship.
I am also very relieved to know that this drama is most likely based on a BL manga in the end ( at least the majority of people like to think it is, hope the mangaka will not disappoint us in the future) , since this is the thing i was the most worried about. I mean at least the source material has to be BL for me to even consider it a BL adaptation.
Like you said, i also think they will let the things that happens between the characters in Kei x Yaku be open to interpretation .

can someone gave a tips how can i move on from this
It`s possible the anwer is just to let time to pass.
It was so long since the drama stoped airing, but i am still as obsessed with the drama as ever. It`s like the drama has finished airing yesterday, and this is what i feel everyday.
Sigh, i don`t know what to do to get my life back in the right track. But i am sure things will get better in time, until now this is what happened every time i liked a BL in the past.
But, i admit i didn`t have such a big obession for a BL drama or movie, being a japanese BL or not, until now. I don`t know why this drama is different, it might be that it managed to accomplish all my requirements of what i want to see from a japanese BL, which i haven`t got until now.
The FMVs that people continue making and releasing in youtube are also so addictive to watch, and i can`t stop watching them almost everyday.

Good news. Someone is subbing in english the first audio drama adapted from the first novel in youtube. The videos has eng subs too, even through it might not look like it. I added the links in the Utsukushii Kare English Novel discussion thread. And the eng subs are really good, there are only a few grammatical mistakes.

Thanks again for all the information. The story told in this manga is one of my favorite actually. You can keep going sharing information, i will always read your posts, hahaha.
I just love reading BL mangas where the focus is not the romance ( this is why i enjoy reading more shounen ai mangas than yaoi) and the relationship development happens slowly , but it progress in time, especially in this kind of setting.
I remember i really enjoyed reading in the past some BL mangas i come across where at least one of the characters were a cop. I also read one or two bl mangas were both characters were cops and partners, and where the focus was not the romance, and i had such a fun time reading them, it was crazy.
