Kiyoi will get more and more popular and earning a lot, by book 2 he’s basically Hira’s sugar daddy since…
Yes. Is so beautiful, like i was really touched by this part in the CD the most. The voice has the right balance, is manly but vulnerable enough when he is crying.
Given , His (there is a drama and movie sequal, I recommend watching both), and Life: Senjou no Bokura are 3 series…
Same, same. Like, i really enjoyed the Takumi kun movies years ago, but i think i will cringe and be embarassed all the time while rewatching them all over again. I think i tried to watch some clips in youtube a few years ago, to see if i should give them a rewatch, and i was like- NAH, it wouldn`t work for me this time, i don`t have the mindset and inexperience i had back then.
Kiyoi will get more and more popular and earning a lot, by book 2 he’s basically Hira’s sugar daddy since…
I have wrote a summary for someone else who asked it, so is not hard for me to share it again. From what i understood from the second CD, these things are what happens: - Hira and Kiyoi are living together, with Kiyoi taking various jobs from modelling, acting etc, and Hira is starting to look jor a job. - Hira founds a job he likes, using some recommendations, and starts from doing little things to actually working as a photographer, but i am not 100% sure about this ( this is what it looked to me) - In their personal life, things are going well for the first part of the CD, but as Hira is working more and more and rarely comes home, Kiyoi feels that Hira don`t pay enough attention to him and after a fight ( which is not even that serious) they separate for a bit. It was Hira fault in this more lol, he shouldn`t have simply listened to Kiyoi, because he was just frustrated and angry for a moment. - Anyway, in this period they are separed, which don`t takes long, something happens to Kiyoi ( i know what happens, but i guess is best to not give you unnecessary spoilers), Hira comes to save the day, gets hurt, and this makes Kiyoi really break down (like he cries and screams and all that), OMG. God, this scene is painful to listen too. After Hira gets better, Kiyoi decides to have another serious conversation with Hira and he really reassures him to not do things like leaving when he is angry, when he tell him he wants to break up and things like this anymore. And that as long as Hira would stay by his side not matter what he says, they will be able to be together forever. Tears, i got so emotional in this scene. So i will stop here. Hira was so moved too, he wanted to do it with Kiyoi right away, hahahah.
Hira gets a lot more confidence in himself in the second CD, especially in his profesisonal life, but in his relationship with Kiyoi too. Hira really develops a lot over the course of the second audio drama, it almost feels like a different character than the one we encountered at the beginning of the first audio drama.
I don`t know what happens in the third novel, but i heard that is as good and moving as the second novel.
Kiyoi will get more and more popular and earning a lot, by book 2 he’s basically Hira’s sugar daddy since…
https://www.bilibili.com/video/BV1pL411M7tn?p=1 Someone shared previously where it can be listened to it, but is not the complete version. Being that is on an chinese website, is a censored version ( is not like the first part of CD, adapted from the first novel, which i shared and it has sex scenes), it has the sex scenes removed, this is why the length of the tracks differs. Even through it don`t have the sex scenes, the kisses are there, and the content is untouched. Unfortunately, this second CD was released on the second part of this year, so nobody has translated the content already. I understood what it happens, because there are a lot of years since i watch japanese dramas/movies, so if is something you are too confused about it, you can ask me. I can also give you a summary to what it happens if you feel you need it.
Kiyoi will get more and more popular and earning a lot, by book 2 he’s basically Hira’s sugar daddy since…
How Kiyoi earning more makes his relationship with Hira less believable? Sorry, is just that your choice of words can make people misunderstand what you want to say easily. How many people in real life that are married/in a relationship has a similar job, where their earning is almost equal? It rarely happens like this. Who earns more and what works for a couple depends in each relationship. Over the course of the second novel, even through Hira don`t manage to keep a long time job, his journey in finding a job, working, trying to get independent makes him mature a lot. Kiyoi support him a lot and have patience with him, and this is what lovers/family does. They don`t have a power dynamic where Kiyoi has all the power, Kiyoi wouldn`t allow it anyways, because he knows Hira wouldn`t be happy for things to be like this. Especially when they are intimate, Hira is the one in charge. Even though this is Kiyoi preference, i was impressed by this, even through for what i read and i think is normal too, in real life it don`t works like this ( who tops who depends on a lot of things, and people aren`t separated in top and bottom so easily). Hira would not be contented to be supported by Kiyoi, he decides to search for a job and experience more things, because he wants for them to be like other couples too, for him to be able to work like everyone else, so he wouldn`t have to relay on him too much. From the CD adapted from the second novel, who i listened to, is the fact that Hira gets too busy and focused on his job that creates issues on his relationship with Hira, but they are always other circumstantes and also their actions that prevents their relationship to be torn apart.
I think I prefer coming to this page not seeing other series being compared here at all. Each series has the thing…
Same. We should stop with the comparing, since it won`t lead to anything good. The first post made initially to compare this drama with HK was because the person wanted to make a valid point, that everyone likes what it likes and we should respect each other preference and other people should stop writing negative comments just because of how the story and the characters are. This is also why i have given a reply on that topic. But after, they are more and more comments comparing this drama with others, like that initial post has open the door for people to compare it to other dramas. If we continue doing this, we aren`t any different from going on other dramas page and talk bad about that drama, because just like how we feel the need to defend this drama, the fans of other dramas also feel the need to defend it, so is better for these kind of comments to stop.
Kiyoi will get more and more popular and earning a lot, by book 2 he’s basically Hira’s sugar daddy since…
If you don't know, Hira is not Kiyoi wife. Hira is the uke/top in the novel, not that it's matters, since Kiyoi decides when they have sex lol, even through he gives in to Hira most of the time. They are a really cute couple when it comes to this.
The director of the drama has said that "we shouldn`t watch the last ep with our family" and that the last epsode…
It`s a rare thing, because japanese dramas usually don`t have longer episodes, like almost never. I am also curious what was that made them decide to make it longer. I talked with Nana about what is that scene with Hira in the classroom of the old school, and we think is most likely a newly writed scene, who is only about Hira visiting his old school for some reason ( like wanting to move on from Kiyoi , but not being able too later anyway, or wanting to reminiscence abour things for the past) and the remaining is Hira imagination. I think this is the most likely scenario, because of the way is filmed too, it feels too unnaturally perfect, and Hira has not expressions, like how Kiyoi didn`t have that many expressions in the scene with that guy in Hira imagination. So, if what i think is true, then they avoided showing any scene related to the final conflict and them getting together. Nah. Ending the story with the shower scene is weird. I also think they don`t have the time to show both the shower scene and the final sex scene, and if they want to show some intimate scenes, they will choose the sex scene. I am really curious about what they will do , like i am almost wondering everyday. God, i am going to be so sad after this drama will end.
Some japanese BL adaptations ( from mangas) that i know are similar in the way that the characters are flawed…
Yes. We do have similar tastes. I don`t watch BL dramas from Thailand anymore, like i have given up on them once and for all about one and half year ago, after being disappointed over and over. I am not that young anymore to be able to enjoy what Thailand release anymore. I have watched a lot of BLs over the years and i am really picky nowadays over what i watch. For the other ones, - I found Fujoshi.......to have a story that is too frustrating, my heart can`t take this kind of story. - For Your name engraved Herein, i didn`t liked the actors casted and the acting, and my heart can`t take watching BLs with sad ending. -For His ( the drama)- the same, the acting is really really lacking here. I didn`t liked the movie too, because i didn`t liked the acting and the chemistry the actors have. I have watched HIS- the movie, while for the other ones i just researched the story and watched the trailers, and it was not an enjoyable watch for me.
I think I would have bluntly aggressively replied to them because at this point I am not patient with stupidity.
I would ignore them. I didn`t wanted to reply to Hi Bye, since i already talked about this to her. A lot of people who says things like this has already made up their mind about how the story and the characters are. People don`t need to worry and care about everyone who don`t like this drama. In my case, i only reply to people i feel are genuinely confused or don`t understand the story, which i can tell for the content in their comemnts. But i wouldn`t allow myself to think that, what if the drama would have told the story differently and thus these people would understand better how the story and the characters are. Like, in most cases is not the drama fault for people not being able to understand what it happens. How the content is perceived depend on the viewers perception and attachment to the story. It could also be that a lot of people are not mature to understand the story, it can be endless reasons. I bet if all the things that Hi Bye has writed in the post will happen next episode and it will be an episode that will be liked by most people, the same people who said bad things about the drama wouldn`t change their mind anyway. It`s a fact this drama has a story that can be perceived differently by people, and this can`t be changed, not matter how good the content in the eps are. For me, the drama has done all it could to convey that Hira and Kiyoi do love each other and is enough for me to see them getting together in the next ep. Of course i will be more grateful if they try to adapt all they can for the novel until the end, but i understand if things are changed a bit. If other people don`t see it the same way, is on them, not me. Maybe is because i am into BL for a lot of years, but this what my experience in watching BLs and interacting with people has told me.
That is unusual, most people like Kioyoi better after discovering he is vulnerable in episode 5. To be clear,…
Nah, I think Koyama intuited from Hira expression ( Koyama is really perceptive, i observed that only after he observes Hira he makes his move usually) that he don`t want to let him sleep over because he has plans made with someone else already. And if the first person he tought he is at the door was not Kiyoi, why he would hug him and said he likes him at that moment. I mean yes, he couldn`t have know that he is Kiyoi, but he has tought he is most likely him and has took the chance that it might be Kiyoi, for him to do that exactly at that moment.
This scene with Koyama hugging Hira was not in the CD/novel, it was writed especially for the drama. I don`t especially like it, because there is another scene in the novel where Koyama will most likely make trouble again for KIyoi and Hira and it looks it will happen in the next ep based on the preview. If you remember the scene where Koyama talks with Kiyoi in the preview, is probable he will say some more things to Kiyoi that will make him angry and impatient to have a conversation with Hira that both aren`t ready to have, but is needed anyway( but i am not sure, since it can be anyhing, they changed things quite a bit last episode). I saw that the conversation i was talking about is in the preview, so i might be right. A lot of people wish that they will go for a second season too, but we will see. From what other people has said it depends mostly on the support the japanese fans give to the drama by buying the merchadise, the DVD etc, and of course it depends of the actors availability too. Yagi Yusei especially, he is a singer too, it depends on what his agency will decide too most likely.
Yes. This is what struck me too. He has these subtle facial expressions and his eyes that convey so much, and…
I love his Rurouni Kenshin trilogy. Well is not a trilogy anymore, because of the two new movie parts released this year. And this movie series is one of the few when i liked more the following movies than the first one made. The later movies keep improving more and more, i was amazed. I also really liked Kamiki Ryunosuke as Soujiro Seta in these movies. He makes a small appearance in Rurouni Kenshin: The Final after previously being in the second and third movie and i was amazed by him as always.
I've rewatched ep 4 and 5 so many times I've lost count! I've basically put all other dramas on hold because nothing…
Some japanese BL adaptations ( from mangas) that i know are similar in the way that the characters are flawed and the story is handled with the seriosity it should , and where the story told is not light, but not dark too, are : - The Cornered Mouse Dreams of Cheese- It has sexual content. The ending is a bit changed compared with the manga for this movie. It has an open ending, not a happy ending like in the manga. It don`t takes away from how brilliant made the movie is, but i think is the reason why it`s not as popular among international fans as it should. - Restart After Come Back Home - this movie is more light. - Life Senjou No Bokura - the drama and movie series- Pornographer, Moon Indigo, Pornographer - Spring Life, Pornographer playback, Pornographer: Continued Spring Life - this is the order in which they should be watched. It has sexual content I know a lot more that might fit, but i think these are the best, because they are very well balanced when it comes to the actors casted, acting, chemistry, plot etc.
I've rewatched ep 4 and 5 so many times I've lost count! I've basically put all other dramas on hold because nothing…
The director of the drama has said that "we shouldn`t watch the last ep with our family" and that the last epsode will have 30 minutes, so because of this i have hopes it will end in more than a decent way.
That is unusual, most people like Kioyoi better after discovering he is vulnerable in episode 5. To be clear,…
Maybe Koyama is not the worst choice for Hira, but is not the best choice for him too, because Hira never liked him as a potential lover. In the novel at least he didn`t. Koyama is not that different from Kiyoi taking adavantage of the oportunity he had, to come into Hira`s life again. Koyama knew his brother has misunderstood Hira as being his boyfriend and was going around telling people he is his boyfriend, and he didn`t bother to clear his misunderstanding because he knew his brother will help him and this will put pressure on Hira to accept being his boyfriend. This was him being selfish, thinking only about his feelings and not caring a bit about what Hira might feel. How do you know he woldn`t do similar things in the future if he would have managed to get together with Hira. In the novel Hira didn`t reject Koyama initially ( and in the drama too, because is obviously he guessed from some time that Koyama likes him) because he liked him as a friend and wanted for them to continue being friends. So if Hira would have gotten together with Koyama, it wouldn`t have been because he like him in a romantic way ( it would have been from gratitude or pity, and do you think this kind of relationship will be good for both of them?). What he did in the last episode, with him hugging Hira because he guessed Kiyoi will see them, was really low, like i wished Hira would been even more harsh on him after. Maybe watching next ep will make you understand Kiyoi more, but honestly how he was portrayed in the drama is close to how he is in the novel, this is the kind of person he is and this is how his personality is, even through i think reading the novel or listening to the CD can definitely make people understanding him more. It`s at the end of the novel where people can see just how good Hira and Kiyoi are for each other, which will only be shown in the next episode, this is why i hope they will be able to show almost all that is in the novel. Kiyoi is pretty blunt and rude with how he express himself, and he is like this not only with Hira ( well he is like this with Hira only when they didn`t know each other better, and when he feels he don`t know what Hira is feeling and what he wants from him, he will treat Hira better when they get together) , but also towards many people who he don`t especially likes. And he is not the worst person out there, his personality makes him a perfect fit for him being a celebrity, since he has not problem turning down people advances on him, and he knows when to compromise and when to give in, so even through he will become an actor and a model, he will be a loyal partner. He is also the kind of person that wouldn`t let the relationship between him and Hira be torn apart for external circumstances. He is the one that solves the misunderstandings between them, because Hira likes to avoid conflicts in his relationship with him, which will only make things worse. Next episode we should be able to see an even more real and vulnerable side of Kiyoi, as it looks it follows what happens in the CD/novel. About the use of the word KIMOI, since i saw a lot of people dislike Kiyoi because of it. Kiyoi has used the word initially because he was bothered by Hira behaviour and he really felt that the way Hira looked at him and his love for him is creepy/like it bothers him because he can`t understand how Hira can like him in this intense and illogical way. But in time, he kind of use it as a word that is special to only the two of them, and he use it especially in the moments when he sees that Hira is obviously expressing his love for him in a creepy way . Kimoi is just a word that Kiyoi likes to associate when it comes to Hira. I know this for sure since i also listened to the second audio drama adapted from the second novel, and Kiyoi continue to use the word when they are in a relationship too. There was a person who posted a comment here previously, where it explained that KIMOI is a word that japanese people use frequently and it can mean lot of things depending of the context, it don`t necessarily means disgusting and creepy all the time, sometime it can be used to express dislike over something. I also think in the scene when they see each other for the first time after graduation and where Kiyoi has said KIMOI to Kira, it was because he was jealous that Koyama was close to Hira, as a way to express that he is bothered by Koyama care towards Hira ( because he was looking at Koyama before has said the word). Anyway, i hope some of the things i wrote are helpful in any way. Honestly, this drama tells the story of two really flawed people who see and like each other for who they are, flaws and all, and whose love for each other is really intense, and who they will grow to be better version of themselves because they are together. But , the novel this drama is adapted from has three parts/volumes, each with a different name, and this drama only adapts the first, while the part where they grow and become to be more stronger, independent, while also loving each other even more, starts when they start dating, which happens in the second novel. About the translation of the novel, there is a english fantranslation started recently, but the update is not that good ( look at the discussion thread for the novel made in the RECENT DISCUSSIONS section). I mentioned before there is another translator working on the novel who wish to make the translation public soon, but i can`t give more details about it. There is an audio drama available to be listened and an spanish translation of it ( an transcript of the content of the CD). Sorry for the long comment, what this drama makes me do. I think is the first time i wrote i comment that is this long. I tell myself i should try to stay as far away from this page as i can, but i keep coming back. In a way, i really hope the day when the last ep is released comes faster.
I just rewatched it and wondered if anyone else noticed the costume design when they were in high school. The…
Yes. This drama has a lot of very well filmed and impactful scenes, being funny or serious, which for me makes this drama has a really high rewatch value. Even many other japanese BLs aren't as artistic and pleasing to look as this drama, and i don't think they even had that big of a budget to begin with. Like even when it comes to the make up, and the clothes chosen, they are really fitting to the mood and the seriousness of the scenes. I am really impressed with the make up, i don't know if people noticed that the make up is different in a lot of scenes, sometimes is obvious, or subtle, and they are scenes when the characters wear no make up at all. I felt the need to rewatch only some really good japanese BLs, usually movies, but i am sure i will rewatch this drama a lot of times for many years for come.
I agree with you. I watched Kieta too and after episode 5 or 6 (when they are together) the plot becomes a little…
When i see people saying the relationship Hira and Kiyoi has is similar with that of the characters in Dangerous drugs and sex, i don`t know if i should laugh of cry. Like these people has to be crazy to say that. I even doubt they watched the movie, for them to dare to say that. People should also at least inform themselves how Hira and Kiyoi are in the source material before saying this, or at least wait until they show us some scenes of them being intimate before saying this. Like what are the basis of them saying this, Kiyoi is not a kidnapper and hasn`t made Hira do anything against his will, and when they are intimate, they are the opposite of the characters in Dangerous drugs and sex. Heck Kiyoi is the uke here too, not that it matters, but i just have not words sometime. When i see people say this, i am really close to lose it, for not other reason but the fact that when Hira and Kiyoi get intimate, they are so patient and respectful to each other, that even characters in much more"healthier" BL dramas/movies aren`t like them. I can accept people say almost anything about them ( i am a really calm person), but not the fact that they are in any way abusive sexually, selfish or hurtful when they are having their intimate moments.
The voice has the right balance, is manly but vulnerable enough when he is crying.
Like, i really enjoyed the Takumi kun movies years ago, but i think i will cringe and be embarassed all the time while rewatching them all over again.

From what other people has said it depends mostly on the support the japanese fans give to the drama by buying the merchadise, the DVD etc, and of course it depends of the actors availability too. Yagi Yusei especially, he is a singer too, it depends on what his agency will decide too most likely.
- The Cornered Mouse Dreams of Cheese- It has sexual content.
- Life Senjou No Bokura
- the drama and movie series- Pornographer, Moon Indigo, Pornographer - Spring Life, Pornographer playback, Pornographer: Continued Spring Life - this is the order in which they should be watched. It has sexual content
I know a lot more that might fit, but i think these are the best, because they are very well balanced when it comes to the actors casted, acting, chemistry, plot etc.
