HAHAHA. I think that the actors and the production team would be happy knowing that there are people who actually care so much about these tiny little details to the point they want to know other people opinions on them.
I want to ask a question. In Episode 5: Kiyoi is sitting by the lake and reading the script. He gets angry after…
Yes. Like Rahab75 has writed, Kiyoi is frustrated that he can't manage to say the words i love you using the right or the most fitting emotion.Like he can say the words i love you, but he is not using the right emotion, like when actors feels that there aren't able to do a good job as they want to when they act. But a bit more later he manages to say i love you in a satisfactory way, in the scene when he is praised by Koyama brother. This is the most obvious answer, i always find it funny how do you manage to think of everything else but not the most obvious answer. I really find it funny, don`t think i mean anything else by me saying this.
CD drama spoilers!!!!!!Guys I really need to see that Kiyoi and Hira living together scene with Kiyoi getting…
Let`s hope they have managed to choose the best way to show all the important scenes in the best way possible. Even through ep 5 didn`t have a lot of content i hoped to see, it has some really important moments, including the dicussion Hira had with Koyama, so i think they will adress all the important things that should be shown. I mean they have shown Hira being decissive with Koyama, and we have been shown that Hira is sure of his feelings, so all they have to show is some more interactions between Hira and Kiyoi and the two main conflicts ( Kiyoi getting indirectly rejected because Hira can`t perceive Kiyoi might like him and the final conflict in which they are solving their misunderstandings). Honestly, i hope those two conflicts are not changed almost at all and are able to be adapted as similar as possible to the way they are writed in the novel/CD, because only by showing things this way, all that happens in the drama will make sense and it will give depth to the relationship between Hira and Kiyoi.
Ep 5 has the highest rewatch value from all episodes released until now, i have the need to rewatch some scenes repetitively. The main reason is that is fun seeing the same scenes that we have seen before from Kiyoi eyes, it makes me observe details that i have not noticed before, and his inner toughts make the scenes more funny. I will mention some scenes i found really funny, without going into details ( so only people who have seen the ep would be able to understand what i am talking about): - the scene where Kiyoi is looking at Hira when he is "acting like a crazy fan"; is much more funny from Kiyoi POV, if it was not for his toughts, it will not be as impressive, And you guys noticed that Kiyoi is amused at the scene too?, Like he has a moment when he is almost smiling. - the scene after Kiyoi finally get it right and Koyama brother is "lecturing" about what love is,and Kiyoi expression is GOLD here. Kiyoi expression and him saying "that word" in his mind really shows a glimpse of his personality ( like i understand him in this scene). -the scene when Hira responds to Koyama that Kiyoi has said to him "that word"before. Hira expression in this scene is really funny to me, one of the best scenes in this episode. Hira expression is really interesting and addicting in this scene- he looks like he is remembering something that he is fond of and at the same time he looks like someone who is used to being called like that and he cherish the word, and i can also see a bit of resignation in the tone ( but in the positivite way kind of resignation). I don`t know if is just me, but i found this scene really endearing to look at. I really liked the conversation between Hira and Koyama, i think it was needed and it offers a better understanding of Hira, of how he is when is having a serious conversation with someone, we also see that he knows why he likes Kiyoi and that he is sure about his feelings,. We also see he has a healthy amount of awareness about how others see him, because he knows Koyama is hurting himself, and can`t let him go, so he takes the first step for him to be able to move on.
The scene where Hira is laying down on the desk in the school... Is that supposed to be a My Beautiful Man role…
I realised you might be right about this. What you said make me remember what Hira has said at the end of ep 5, that "he can`t go back to the way it was anymore".
The scene in their old school might be only about Hira, like him going to the school to remember for the last time how they were before, to go there before he will take the next step, when he can still control his feelings. This scene might happen at the beginning of the episode or after Kiyoi gets angry at him at him ( after he ask him that he never tought he might like him). And the following scene at the school, with Kiyoi being there and what happens after might be Hira imagination. But i wonder why did they have to complicate things so much. It may be important for Hira to reflect on his relationship with Kiyoi tough.
Do you guys think Koyama will stay as persuasive as he was in Drama CD? He didn't crash Hira's house with the…
I think he will only appear in that scene with Kiyoi and that`s it. They have to also know they are limited by time, i don`t think he will appear more than this.
Long version of final teaser video is here 😂 have fun torturing yourself with theories guys https://twitter.com/utsukare_mbs/status/1471767359329554437?s=21
OH GOD, you are amazing. This is what i`ve been waiting to see today. I am so nervious, i`ll go see it know.
An amazing analysis of this part of Kiyoi personality. Like, you understood him as well as someone who has read…
Here you can read the spanish translation of the CD. Is 18+ too, just like how the novel is, it has some explicit sex scenes. I can send you the link where the CD can be accessed if you get curious how the audio drama actually is. Just write me about it. https://suzumiya-bren.blogspot.com/2021/07/utsukushii-kare-espanol18bl.html?m=1
I'm thinking about this series way too much lol but I guess it goes to show you that they've really caught and…

I was bothered a bit too by the additional hug between Koyama and Hira, that has brought even more misunderstanding…
If they don`t show more of why Hira is being like this when it comes to Kiyoi and how his kind of love it actually is, i am sure a lot of people will be disappointed, i will be devastated. But i don`t think they will change this, because until know they haven`t avoided going deep on how flawed the characters are.
In case someone missed it , Kiyoi has huge abandonment issues after his mother remarried . He has been quite lonely…
Yes. This part is in the CD/novel too, and i was impressed they added it, since it make viewers really understand more deeply Kiyoi personality. This is also why he is so upset with Hira when they see each other again, he was shocked that even him has choose to leave him.
Drama followed the CD until half of ep 5. The part with Koyama story is completely rewritten in drama. In CD Koyama…
Nope. Even through Koyama actions were changed a bit in the drama, his personality was portrayed to be really similar with the one he has in the CD/novel, he is as manipulative and selfish as in the source material. And he also won`t give up on Hira easily, until he will see Hira really trying to put distance between them, and at that point he is able to see that he don`t have other option but to give up on Hira.
This is just fiction but since everyone and their mother like calling Kiyoi as abuser and red flag this much,…
I had a friend like Koyama and is a bit exhausting being in their presence, because i felt that she has that image and impression of me that i have to be, like i had to force myself to be who she wanted me to be. Like, because she was always behaving so proper, so correct according to moral rules, i couldn`t have deep and honest discussions with her, because i was afraid that she will judge me. Like is not her fault, but when you encounter people that makes you feel like this, is not healthy to be in their pressence, because you end up forcing to be a different person than you actually are.
Am I the only one who didn't like the additional Koyama and Hira interaction in this episodes instead of paying…
I was bothered a bit too by the additional hug between Koyama and Hira, that has brought even more misunderstanding to Hira and Kiyoi relationship and i wished they cut off more of the discussion between Hira and Koyama since it was a bit too long, but it think it was needed. Things didn`t happened ideally, but they have the next episode too. As long as the development of the relationship and the acting is good, i am okay with all that they will show us. They have to have some creative freedom tough, it keeps things more realistic, and not everything that is in the novel/CD will flow smoothly and look good in an adaptation.' I still have high hopes about the next ep. Did you checked the two new photos added in the PHOTOS section, because they are stunning.
The acting in this last episode was superb, truly outstanding. The subtleties left me riveted. I am both mystified…
There is another translator beside Straylations ( who looks like she actually dropped the translation), that is currenty working on translating the novel, and she plans to finish the first novel next month, and will most likely make it public then. I will add her translation in the dicussion thread of the novel i made in this page, when she decides to make it public. There is also available a CD to listen too, but is in japanese, and the only thing that can help understanding more what it happens in the CD is an spanish trascript of the CD (basically a translation in spanish).

I loved reading your comment, i love reading comments like this. About Koyama and Hira dating, i was just writing to someone else about this. There were definitely not dating. I have the impression from the CD and what someone has mentioned from the novel, that Koyama brother has misunderstood the part where Koyama and Hira were dating, because Koyama has told him he likes Hira, so Koyama brother tought they are already dating. But, Koyama didn`t bother to solve this misunderstanding, he was content letting his brother misunderstand since he knew it will help him in his pursuit of Hira. And this is really manipulative and selfish considering Hira personality ( he goes with the flow a lot of times too), since if Kiyoi hasn`t come into Hira life again, is highly likely he would have gone out with Koyama, even through it would have been more likely because he liked how different and kind Koyama seemed to be with him compared with Kiyoi. I am so proud of Hira for being so clear and harsh with Koyama this episode, at least he is aware of the fact that Koyama liking him is hurting him too, and making him hard to let go, and he is also able to see that him not making things clear with Koyama is hurting Kiyoi. Hira is at least not that hopeless.
I really find it funny, don`t think i mean anything else by me saying this.
