They are not even in the realtionship right now they still struggling with their inner problems their realtionship…
😃🙃😉 I totally get you. The temptation to find out more about the story in the source material is really high for this drama. From reading the synopsis and watching the first episode, i got really curious just how these two completely different people manage to get together. In my case too, only after listening to the first CD and seeing how good the content is, i started to realise that based on the source material, is highly probable that the story will get better and better.
They are not even in the realtionship right now they still struggling with their inner problems their realtionship…
Oh GOD, your comment has come across as being so funny, you made me laugh. Yes, NOD NOD, this is why i can`t wait to also read the novels, i love how realistic everything that happens is. And yes, LOL, at the moment when i realised that Hira listened to Kiyoi when he has thrown away those words, which it was obviously he did it because he was angry and he was just expecting for Hira to pacify him and comfort him a bit, to at least ask why he is angry, I was like, just what do you think you are doing, I was totally on Kiyoi side in that moment.
They are not even in the realtionship right now they still struggling with their inner problems their realtionship…
I have to thank you for writing this comment, because i had the impression from listening to the second CD that Hira love for Kiyoi still continue to be mixed with both love and idolizing. I think this will never go away entirely, but it does get better, at least this is what i felt as i listened to the CD. At the end of the second CD, i did tought that they both managed to overcome this a bit, at least i did fell a difference from how they were at the beginning of the CD.
Hello! I would like to be enlightened a bit. At first, I saw this series as somewhat toxic, but I read the comments…
I and other people has shared a lot of information on how the characters are, how they see each other and what they expect from each other. A lot of people who comment here regularly has some knowledge of what the characters are in the novel too, this is why the perspective is a bit different. The comments that are hidden in the spoiler tag is also where usually people are talking about what happens in the novel. Honestly, is tiring to answer to all people who are confused about the story and what it wants to convey. I have already made another recent comment about an hour ago to the user named Emptiness ( just scroll down a bit) where i have explained what the characters are like and why they react the way they react, so if you don`t mind read that comment, and if you want to know anything else then write me.
Personally I think their relationship is toxic. The way Kiyoi always tell Hira he's disgusting and Hira always…
Honestly, i didn`t wanted to reply to your comment because there are some parts of the comment you made, that i think is not right, and i don`t like to engage in pointless discussions. But, because i feel other people haven`t given you a complete perspective of Hira and Kiyoi as characters, based on how they are writed in the source material ( novel) and what is the meaning of Hira and Kiyoi actions coming from someone who has knowledge of the source material, i decided to write this comment. The novel has three volumes, and they build a really strong and beautiful relationship, is just that this drama is only adapting the content of the first volume, which it only shows their journey until they get together. So the dating, growing , maturing part ( well, in my opinion they do have some grow in the drama, but the number of eps do limit how much they can show) and them coming to understand each better happens in the other two volumes. I also want to inform you that the translation from GagaOOLala can be totally inaccurate at times and keep making people have the wrong impression about what it happens. People who comment on this page regularly already discussed among themselves the scenes. I and a lot of people has shared more info about how the characters are in the novel ( because this drama is a really faithful adaptation of the novel until now), and this why a lot of people here see things completely different from you. There is another translation available for ep 3 and 4 and ep 5 is in course to be translated, which has much more accurate subs. I want to start by saying that, don`t you think that you use the word toxic too easily? Like i was so angry when i read that part of your comment. If Hira and Kiyoi relationship is toxic just because the communication between them is lacking, Kiyoi is calling Hira for the guy he is, KIMOI ( i will explain what this word means soon), and Hira is apologizing, then almost all people who are starting to get to know each other better and take more time in learning how to communicate in an effective way and to see what the best way of treating the other is, should be toxic. People make mistakes all the time when they first get to know each other, and is not like Kiyoi has hurt Hira in purpose, is obvious that a lot of the mistakes he has made are a reaction to Hira weird behaviour around him. Hira and Kiyoi are young, teenagers. Do you and other people has never tought about this, does the maturity the characters has when they meet each other don`t matter at all, do the experiences they both had before meeting each other don`t matter at all when people are analysing the reasons behind their actions?
KIMOI is a word that japanese people use a lot, and it can have a lot of meanings, like creepy, gross. disgusting, but also scary, weird, basically is a word that is used to express the fact that people are bothered about something, or they dislike something. The context in which Kiyoi uses Kimoi change all the time too, sometime he means that Hira actions are creepy to him, or his love for him bothers him, is different in a lot of situations. Kimoi is a word that Kiyou will continue to use and think in his toughts in the future too ( you can consider it as a word Kiyoi likes to use when it comes to what Hira is feeling for him) when they get together and he feels that Hira behaviour turns creepy again. Hira has the habit to apologize for everything from a long time, i tought this is obvious. It`s most likely a habit he developed while he was bullied in the past, like he has become used to apologize. Like, there are scenes when he keeps apologizing even through is not his fault, do you just ignored these scenes? I won`t dwelve in a lot of things, if you want to know more, read the comments me and other people has wrote here previosuly. I and a lot of people has been making comments here, where we explained what the story is about and how the characters were writed to be and why they react the way they do, but we can`t force people to read them, and honestly is tiring writing the same thing over and over.
I will only write some more words about how the characters are and what they think of the other.
Hira has been ignored, looked down, sometimes bullied from when he has been a child, because of his stuttering and him being awkward all the time in the presence of others. Because of this he has low self-esteem and he is anxious a lot of times about how he should react among others. When he has meet Kiyoi he really liked the way Kiyoi carried himself, his confident and cool impression and how he has not problem doing the things that he can`t do. His love is intense, and is mixed with obsession at the same time. It`s always funny to me, how people are seeing all Kiyoi negative traits, but are not able to see the ones Hira has. Hira love for Kiyoi is really unusual and creepy, he collects these coins, he crosses the normal boundaries with Kiyoi a lot of times, he stalks him too( it may be harmless, but is still stalking). If they would have made more eps, maybe they would have more time to show more of Hira personality. Even in the future, the motivations for the things he does when it comes to Kiyoi are really different from other people. Hira toughts are not like a normal person, once he makes his mind about how a person is and how he thinks he would react to him, his interaction with them is always based on how he has that person made up in his mind. He has already decided for himself what kind of person Kiyoi is, which is not the kind of person Kiyoi really is, and he has decided that Kiyoi will not come to like him, so he is unable to perceive that Kiyoi has been paying attention to him too. This happens when they get together in the future too, Hira closes himself in his world many times, and is unable to see what is obvious for other people and he can`t perceive the things that other people perceive as easily.
When it comes to Kiyoi, i honestly think all he has done in relation to Hira is reasonable. Kiyoi and Hira are really different, Kiyoi is really confident, aware of the person he is, and he hates being seen as vulnerable or to be looked down upon. He has never fallen in love before, he has never encoutered someone who is as direct as Hira is when it comes to his feelings for him. He don`t mind the attention, but he still consider that Kiyoi love for him is KIMOI, like he is too creepy. He knows who he is, and he find it hard to believe that he might like someone like Hira, who is so different from himself. It`s relatable Kiyoi is hesitating over what he should do about his relationhip with Hira ( like who wouldn`t hesitate, because some of Hira actions are just too weird) so he decides to see just what Hira wants for him. Kiyoi don`t really understand why he likes Hira, he comes to trust him, he likes to be in his presence, and he comes to like the way Hira looks at him, and it`s takes him by surprise, because he hasn`t expected this to happen.
Anyway, i hope the next episode will surpass people expectations, and that it will make people understand why Hira and Kiyoi are so attached to each other that not matter what, they can`t give up on each other.
Hold on, I read somewhere that the novel ends up with them being in uni and starting their relationship. That…
The novel is currently being translated in english ( is not an official translation), one translation can be found in the discussion thread for the novel i made in the Recent discussions section ( but it don`t have many chapters translated and the release of the chapters is not that good), and there is another translator working on the novel too, who plans to make the translation public soon. There is also available a CD/audio drama in japanese (adapted from the first novel, which this drama is adapted too) to listen to, and an spanish trasnscript of the CD that you can read if you understand spanish, which people can decide to check both or just read the transcript. The drama has followed what happens in the CD in a proportio of about 80% in my opinion.
Does anyone know where can I read the novel? Please anywhere in english or portuguese I really want to read it

Kiyoi will get more and more popular and earning a lot, by book 2 he’s basically Hira’s sugar daddy since…
I don`t know exactly. Like i said before, everything i know is from listening to the second CD, which is in japanese, and all the japanese i know is from watching japanese dramas and movies for a long time. I can recognize what it happens and the conversations where the most common words are used, but i don`t understand everything. I am actually surprised myself that i could understood all of this accurately. Maybe Nana or someone else who has read the novel will be able to give you a more complete answer. I even listened to this part again, and i didn`t understood more this time.
What i understood from the conversation Kiyoi and Hira has before Kiyoi has said the he should move out ( which Hira took it as Kiyoi wanting to break up and said he should be the one to move out) is that is related to Hira work. Hira takes a decision that Kiyoi thinks he took it without thinking of him too. I don`t know what the decision is, but it has made Kiyoi asking himself how he can say that at the moment, and that Hira should think about what he might also think about it, that he should be more considerate of him. When they reconcile, Kiyoi also says to Hira that he should pay more attention to him, to what he might feel about the things he does. I think you read them already, and this is why you asked me this, but the discussions i had with Maggi64 and Nana reveal all that i know about this.
Hold on, I read somewhere that the novel ends up with them being in uni and starting their relationship. That…
I mean i am sure the author ( Nagira Yuu) was content with how the first three novels has turned up, because she has said she don`t plans to write any more volumes. So, the four novel is probably her way to give extra content to fans and she had wanted to add the content initially, but she couldn`t, who knows? The first three novels are basically the complete content, and i guess her four novel is for people who are longtime fans of the author.
Kiyoi will get more and more popular and earning a lot, by book 2 he’s basically Hira’s sugar daddy since…
Do you mean for the second audio drama or the first? I only have the link for the uncensored version of the first audio drama, which is adapted from the first novel that this drama is adapted from. For the second audio drama, i might be able to acquire the uncensored version in the future, but now is not available.
Hold on, I read somewhere that the novel ends up with them being in uni and starting their relationship. That…
No. I don`t know. I only know what happens until the second volume. I heard that the author has released a four volume/novel named Interlude, but is not really a continuation of the other three novels, but it contains content that didn`t make it in the first three novels, basically extra content.
Hold on, I read somewhere that the novel ends up with them being in uni and starting their relationship. That…
No. The first novel/ volume ends as you mentioned, with them getting together. The second novel/volume named Nikurashii kare has Hira and Kiyoi dating, living together etc. Basically, the second novel, is focused in university life too, but mostly self-discovery, job hunting and them finding balance in their relationship. There is plenty of material to adapt if they want to make more seasons. I know for sure about this since i read the translation of the CD adapted from the first novel, and listened to the two CDs adapted from the the first and second novel. I think you get what i meant, but we most likely express differently. Japan like to separate some novels in volumes with different name each ( not always, but in this case, this is what i found). Basically, you can regard the novel Utsukushii kare as part of three novel series, or part of a novel that has three volumes.
Hold on, I read somewhere that the novel ends up with them being in uni and starting their relationship. That…
Yes. You are right, this season will end with them only starting their relationship. I think Rach loves Xieer means that she hopes they will make a second season for them to adapt the second novel too. The complete novel has there novels/volumes, and this drama covers only the first.
Kiyoi will get more and more popular and earning a lot, by book 2 he’s basically Hira’s sugar daddy since…
Oh. I tought he is Kiyoi stalker, but it may be Anna stalker and it was not shown in the CD. I am saying this because Hira has talked to him at some point and they were talking about how amazing Kiyoi is and all that, and i tought he is Kiyoi fan. But is possible that guy was there for Anna and he tought Hira was talking about Anna, but he was talking about Kiyoi actually. Anna was there with Kiyoi when Kiyoi was kidnapped, or he knew he was kidnapped and she has gone looking for Kiyoi, because this is what i understood from the CD. There is also that that guy has said to Hira that he knows that he is Kiyoi lover, so i tought that he is interested in Kiyoi, not Anna. But since you read the novel, you know better. This is only what i tought it happens based on the CD using my not that good japanese. But it don't change things that much, that stalker guy was really dangerous, at least that's my impression of him, so i was so glad Hira has come looking for Kiyoi.

We aren't refering at Pornographer: Spring life, but Pornographer: Continued spring life -is another short special movie where the story takes place after Pornographer playback.
Kiyoi will get more and more popular and earning a lot, by book 2 he’s basically Hira’s sugar daddy since…
Yes. It`s kind of like a dangerous action plot in a way. Kiyoi has a male fan, that is too obsessed with him, and i didn`t understand what this guy intention was in the first place, but he kidnaps Kiyoi and confine him in a place. This crazy stalker fan is someone Hira has interacted with, but Hira hasn`t realised how unstable and dangerous he is. This guy has some psychological issues, since what he says most of the times is really incoherent and just crazy. His intentions and toughts are crazy, like someone who has mental health problems. So, this guy kidnapps Kiyoi, Hira find out about this, i think someone calls him or he finds out from trying to contact Kiyoi and gets worried. When this guy is confining Kiyoi, is obviously he gets more and more unstable, like i really think he would have hurt Kiyoi in the end in one way or the other. After Hira finds them, this guy and Hira starts fighting, that guy has a knife too, and he hurts Hira. Hira gets unconscious and from Kiyoi perspective he looks badly hurt, so he starts to panic and he break down. Hira is hurt to the point he is hospitalized, but he is not in danger to lose his life.
Kiyoi will get more and more popular and earning a lot, by book 2 he’s basically Hira’s sugar daddy since…
When they have the fight i was talking about, Kiyoi is not yelling, but his tone and the way he is speaking show he is frustrated and angry that Hira don`t pay as much attention to him as he should ( like Hira is not thinking enough about what Kiyoi might feel when he is doing things related to their relationship), and Kiyoi impulsively say they should break up. I mentioned in a previous post, that Hira is the kind of person that don`t think that much of what people might think when he does something. Hira is used to just do things which he considers reasonable from his perspective, and in the second CD too is obvious to me that he don`t especially think of what Kiyoi might think or that he might be hurt by the things he does. Kiyoi comes to accept this part of him too, sigh Hira is really lucky for having a boyfriend like Kiyoi. Because of this, after Kiyoi say they should break up ( well Kiyoi says he wants to move out from the apartment, but Hira totally perceived this as Kiyoi breaking up with Hira), Hira just accept it easily, like he expected that Kiyoi would want to break up with him anyway, like he was prepared for Kiyoi to want to break up with him ( Hira just says okay, and then he says he is the one that he should move out, since they live in Kiyoi apartment). When i listened to this part, i was thinking and wanted to yell at Hira that- this not what Kiyoi intended at all, he wants for you to say something , to at least ask why he is upset, and for you to stop him, just how dense you can be . Kiyoi was really taken aback by this too, and he was even more angry when he saw this, so he didn`t stop him when Hira wanted to leave. And yes, the fact that Hira puts his life on the line to save him, and the fact that he saw that Hira has put his life in danger for him, will make Kiyou take the first step for them to reconcile/get back together. I think they would have gotten back together anyway, lol, it was just that Kiyoi needed some time to let his anger dissipate and to start to miss Hira. Kiyoi really loves Hira, he can`t stay away from him for a long time, but this incident do make him even more resolute in him wanting to be with Hira long term. After, Kiyoi will tell Hira that " as long as Hira will stay by his side, not matter what hurtful things he says, and not matter how angry he is sometimes, they would be able to last together forever. Hira is so surprised here, he sounded so happy, like the world can end right then, and he wouldn`t mind, he was overflowing with happiness. I think for people to really understand Hira as a character they need to read the novel ot listen to the CDs. Hira thinking is too simple, and arrogant a lot of times ( just like Kiyoi has said in ep 5), but if you analyse his choices and what he does, he is a really complex character. Hira life experiences and his personality prevents him for thinking that Kiyoi loves him enough to want to be with him long term. This is the biggest struggle Hira has to overcome when it comes to his relationship with Hira in my opinion. It`s the same thing about how Hira is portrayed in the drama until know. Hira personality, past experiences prevents him for considering Kiyoi might really like him and will want to be together with him. This is why the drama can be perceived differently by a lot of people, the source material is really complex, the characters are not easy to define, and the drama really tries to convey this to the viewers. When i said that Hira feels like a different character, i meant he matures a lot, he becomes more confident in himself, both professionaly and in his relationship with Kiyoi. What Kiyoi and Hira has is really lovely and as a normal relationship as everyone else, even if it might not look like it, based on how they first meet ( which i think is reasonable they both reacted the way they had in the past). Like, once they get in the same page, the love they have for each other is so strong that they can`t bear to hurt each other, not on purpose at least.
The novel is currently being translated in english, one of the translation can be found in the discussion thread for the novel i made in the Recent discussions section, and there is another translator working on the novel too, who plans to make the translation public. There is also available a spanish trasnscript of the first CD that you can read if you understand spanish.
I haven't read book 2,3 of the novel but can see many hints that the Hira family is quite rich and prestigious,…
Yes. Same toughts about everything you said. I also come to the conclusion that Hira is the one that is the most lucky for having a boyfriend like Kiyoi.
I was just recommending Utsukushii Kare on the Bad Buddy board when someone asked for something to watch in between…
We have similar toughts and tastes in the BLs we watch. I also like the most to watch BLs that are really realistic, as realistic to real life as they can, the better. Like i enjoy light BLs too, but nothing works better for me that watching unusual, unique and complex stories where the characters are as flawed and do things that are not easy to explain, just like how people do in real life. And japanese BLs are the best when it comes to make and portray these kind of stories, and this is why they are my favorite.
Yes, NOD NOD, this is why i can`t wait to also read the novels, i love how realistic everything that happens is.

I think Rach loves Xieer means that she hopes they will make a second season for them to adapt the second novel too.
The complete novel has there novels/volumes, and this drama covers only the first.
But since you read the novel, you know better. This is only what i tought it happens based on the CD using my not that good japanese.
But it don't change things that much, that stalker guy was really dangerous, at least that's my impression of him, so i was so glad Hira has come looking for Kiyoi.
I also come to the conclusion that Hira is the one that is the most lucky for having a boyfriend like Kiyoi.
