This cast is not confirmed. It just the latest rumor spread around. That don`t mean is not true, but just that…
Yes, definitely, i also feel the same way. Zhai Xiao Wen fits to play XL , his appearance can pull him off, but is unfortunately is that he don`t have a prior notable acting experience, so acting wise we can`t predict anything. But i really have good feelings of ZLH playing HC, and in consideration on how many times was featured compared with other actors as you said, is most likely this role is his.
Zhang ling hee....let's step on the beeeeaaat...huhuhuhu. Thx mr director for choosing our Ling He. Best character…

Thank you for the update!! Did the mentioned if it will be in 2022? Because 2021 would be too much for my heart!:))
Yan Wushi don`t appear much in Peerless, more content where he appears is in some extra chapters together with SQ. But what can i say this little content is enough, as the moments are just very hilarious. Peerless is the sequel of TA, but only becasuse it continue the story of a lot of side characters from TA, and it takes places some years after where TA ends, SQ and YWS don`t appear much.
Hi. I am writing you as a fan of the novel and of Priest who has a similar opinion with you. I think everyone who liked the novel and watched the drama to see how is it as a adaptation of the novel, will definitely resonate with parts of your review. What you wrote is what i wished the drama wouldn`t have done, would have done better and why i also can`t give the drama a rating higher than 8. Is funny, but i also contemplated a lot what rating will be appropiate to give this drama, and i settled with 8 too. Honestly, like you as well , while watching the first 6 eps i was fascinated by the drama, and i even throught that is not only good adaptation of the drama, but even a very faithful one, the best adaptation of a novel writed by Priest, and i tough finally Priest have a novel that is well adapted. Sigh, i think that`s why i was even more disappointed, it started so well, and it made me have really have high expectations, and then after ep 6, things started deviated little by little from the novel. ZZS was portrayed more and more soft, righteous, trying to be a too of a reliable, kind and next good door person, than the morally grey person who has an assasin background, who only want to travel the world expecting to die, and maybe making some good acts in the way, if his help is requiered. Because i read Lord Seventh too, and knowing how many cruel things ZZS have done in the past, he destroyed a child life for god sake, in the worst way possible, only for the prince he supported to ascend to the throne. Yes, he did it because he knew Helian Yi is the most reliable, smart, tought of the well being of his people and would try to be a good ruler compared to his brothers, but that don`t change how many dirty things he did to help him. Zhou Zishou character is wroted as an equal bad character as WKX, both are equally messed up, rooted at their core ( i mean parts of them), who has their own demons that thay have to live with, so is just beffled me that they have to change him this much in the drama. Because they changed him this much, the drama as a whole, it gives a totally different vibe from the novel. The changes made to him, little changes made to WKX, as he was white washed too a bit, but the moments are more subtle, the brightly made costumes, the settings and overall atmosphere is too bright compared with the gloomy, a bit sad, heavy and real atmosphere the novel has. Those changes made, can disappoint a lot the novel readers. While watching the drama i always have this feeling that the drama was not made having the author and fans of the novel in mind almost at all, the story was changed a lot so it will be liked by general public and be liked by a large number of people. This is not a bad thing, but if they tried adapting the drama as more faithful to the novel, and not going the safe way, is possible they would not only get the same response, but have even more success. I am disappointed that the drama chose the safe route. The drama managed to be succesful, but because of the changes made to the plot, it has a lot of inconsistencies that don`t exist in the novel. As you said , i also felt like i watched at least two version of the same character of ZZS, like the one in the first episodes, then in the middle of the drama and the one that is presented at the end of the novel, is looks like they are different persons. Screenwriter fault definitely. And yes, about Wu Xi and Beiyuan too, it disappointed me a lot how they were portrayed, as i also loved loved Lord Seventh, i like more ZZS and WKX as a couple, but i liked more the novel Lord Seventh than Faraway wanderers. The portrayal of Beiyuan especially has some moments where he seems opposite of how is in the novel. Not only they appearance has lose they purpose, they might as well not add them in this drama, as Beiyuan was presented as oblivious of Helian Yi (prince Jin in the drama) intentions and as not knowing how ruthless and bad guy can be. I was so angry, this is contrary to how Beiyuan was writed in Lord Seventh, lol, this guy is not only smart but wise, but was writed as the most close friend of Helian Yi, no one know him better than him, how can you made him say that he can`t believe that Helian Yi can`t do something as not even sparing Zhou Zishu, the scene was totally exagerated. Yes, Beiyuan was surprised too in Faraway wanderers that this happened, but how that scene played was blown out of proportion and implied that Beiyuan was oblivious of how bad of a guy Helian Yi is (i mean this part of his, Helian Yi has his good parts too, i really like him more than i tought in the novel, and i also tought they made him lose his dignity and impressive aura he has, by making him acting too dramatic). And both Beiyuan and Wu Xi were presented as less mysterious, impressive than they were in the novel, they look like good people, not people who are more than what they seem, it didn`t make me want to know more about them. I will finish with what you said, for people who really want to meet the real Faraway wanderers, they would only found them in the novel. As a long time reader of danmei novels, i am really happy that places like the danmei novels community in reddit exist, so people can have an open place to discuss the strenghts and weaknesses of danmei dramas adaptations, exchange toughts, as there people don`t hesitate speaking about their toughts openly and others respecting these opinions. I really like Priest as an author, so i want for her to at least have a novel that is well adapted, with the characters having the depth and complexity that he writed them to have, and have a story where even if things are changed, it stays close to the atmosphere and overall impression the novel left on people, so i really hope Winner is king will manage to do that. I think Guardian did better at staying close to the overall atmosphere the novel has, and how the characters were writed, it`s unfortunate how the story has to go downhill for the last part of the drama.
The script writing and CGI aren't exactly the best, but Zhu Yilong and Bai Yu's exceptional chemistry and acting…
Yes. i also firmly believe if it weren`t for the main cast, the drama wouldn`t have gotten even half of attention and success that it had. I think the actors definitely read the novel, as the portraying, little actions are very similar to what i felt when i read the drama. Zhu Yi Long portrayea of Shen Wei especially is like he come out of the novel.
casting is taking so long, it is a bit worrisome. Some of the rumor cast members were so so young that I felt…
I think the same, there`s not guarantee at this point too, even if some people don`t think that the actors are fit to play the characters appearance wise or for other reasons, good acting, script and direction can do wonders. The opposite is possible too, even if the cast is approved by the majority, if the actors are not be supported by all others aspects i mentioned, the drama will not meet the expectations. Of course for this drama i have faith in the director, the fandom of MXTX in China is huge as well so they will try to say true to the novel, so i think the drama will be good.
Yes. A danmei adaptation too. Is based of a bl novel too, but it's possible to be more bromance like, as they were some beef between the author and the scriptwriter. The author of the novel (a very good one, i really like the novel this drama is based of) has given a interview where she has subtly implied that the scriptwriter changed the story too much and is very different from the novel. She even said only the characters name are the same, and she don't want to get any credit resulted from the possible success of the drama.
I rlly don't understand the high pedestal cql is held on and why its lovers can't leave shl alone
Maybe you had a moment where something upset you, but making a post like this isn`t necessary. This generalization of saying that all fans just hate WOH and like to take every ocassion to criticize the drama is a waste of time, as in general this thinking is not right and it don`t resolve anything. Every drama, including WOH or Untamed, and the upcoming dramas that will be released will have fans that just like to go out of their way to go to official pages of a drama who they don`t think is as good as their favorite danmei drama and post negative comments. This will never change. But what i find unfortunately, is that they are people who aren`t a fan of a certain drama, but just a fan of the bl novels that those drama adapted, or like to watch bl dramas in general, or for any other reason, who just want to express their opinion, and not create uneccesary discussions. If those people didn`t like a danmei drama as much as everyone else, and is sharing the opinion of why she/he didn`t enjoyed the drama as much, and in the process it compares the said drama to another drama to make a point or to convince people to see his/her point of view or to simple to ask another opinion, i don`t feel is right to judge them or give contradictory opinions, if they expressed a valid opinion. How people know the intentions behind what a person wrote what he/she wrote, how can people distinguish between a hardcore fan of a drama that just want to create drama and a person who after watching the drama for certain reasons, didn`t enjoy the drama and just wanted to express her opinion? This is what i want to say, this kind of talk is meaningless and don`t change anything, people will always compare dramas, but a lot of time is to exchange opinions, to listen to what other people have to say, it don`t mean to look down on a drama and praise another. I wish people will be more undertanding when reading about people expressing personal subjective opinions, to take them as personal opinion only, and don`t read too much into them, as long as what the person said is not directly offensive, rude or too unrealistic.
I found this Weibo post but since I can't register on Weibo I can't read it completely to see if anything regarding…
No. I am pretty sure is not an official announcement about the cast. I don`t know chinese, i just did a google translate of the article, as is enough to get a gist of what it says, even through i couldn`t access all the content as it want me to make an account. But what i read is enough, is just an article someone made where is talking about the rumours surrounding TGCF drama, how the casting audition opened in december and stuff like this, it talks about rumours surrounding TGCF in general. If it was an official announcement they wouldn`t need to make such a long introduction where they didn`t reveal anything new.
there was a rumor saying it will have 80 episodes lol lowkey hope its true
Yes. This is a realistic option, as indeed i also read that they don`t allow anymore to be made more than 50 eps . If they film directly about 70-80 eps, and divide them in 2 seasons, it might work. But they have to film everything from the start, because if they only film for one season, it will be hard for all the actors to be casted again for a second season in the future. I know for sure from others dramas, the recasting is the hard part, that`s why China rarely have dramas who has multiple seasons. EDIT: I was wrong when i wrote above. This are old news. It seems filming more than 50 eps is still permited, as some recently released drama has more episodes than 50 and this drama as well is rumoread it will have 60 eps.
I have some really good news, OH GOSH, i am so happy. Tencent announced they are arranging and preparing for THOUSAND AUTUMNS DONGHUA SEASON 2, so yes it sounds and can count as a confirmation. We will get a SECOND SEASON huuray.
