MDL rolled out a new algorithm to remove fake accounts created to manipulate ratings. https://kisskh.at/discussions/support/49893-release-notes?pid=1410725&page=1#p1410725
the part of not counting when less than 1/5th, then dropping, will make plenty of the ratings complete rubbish --as they will be artificially high.
nay, the original HK version of Duke is handsome (Tony Leung) and that's why so many women fell for him in that…
low budget isn't the culprit, the HK production proves that --i'm sure this budget is x times more than the leung/lau 1984's budget --those 80s HK were shoestring budget productions. this production made the mistake on the lead. maybe they think he's some kind of roberto benigni or peter sellers... monkey boy is neither
There is an OLD TVB version by Leung Chiu Wai and Lau Tak Wah that was hilarious but it is in Cantonese.
i always thought that the dickyCheng and stephenChow (film) were imitations of how tonyLeungCW played the role --which he played brilliantly. all three have great comic timing, but of course tonyLCW is a very talented actor with broad range.
this lead looks badly older than the actor's actual age. practically every other version, xiaoBao would feigns being thick hiding shrewdness, this one he is literally freaking thick. opposite from haungXiaoMing "too handsome," this goes for the "too ugly" --didn't they learned that lesson from the most recent Smiling Wanderer?
Bai Lu is not a bad actress. She is a lot better than most chinese drama actresses. Her previous roles as strong…
xuKai playing a bully in the "acadamy..." drama is exactly what i'm tired of --pseudo strong women that essentially wants to be manhandle by a man-child is not only repetitively tiresome, but also a toxic message.
pick another....
bottom line is... is the pairing up of "strong" female characters sadly undermines their strength or in this case, the female is some "girl Friday" sort --a trope from the 1940s-- that essentially a damsel in distress
BaiLu, a very pretty actor, seems to have a trajectory of moronic roles. it is obvious that china dramas are male dominated, with few exceptions. sadly, all of baiLu "strong woman" roles, so far, has been dumber than plastic bags. this role is the worse.... hope this is rock bottom. the combo of limited acting range, and direction, kills this drama. her comedic timing is awful --a better actor might can pull it off.... obviously not her.
i admit i will skip dramas with ugly leads, but beautiful leads can't save their crappy roles when they don't have enough talent to save. possibly the character "longAoY" is complete rot and no talent can redeem the role.... we'll never know.
Hmm, I've watched the first two episodes and halfway of the third, and I'm not sure if I should continue. The plot,…
not having any martial arts is an understatement. she hides and ducks, or faints. underworld leader and damsel in distress are synonym.... i cannot wrap my head around that. ML is dull, but FL is plain unlikable... cause she has nothing to back up her bravado/arrogance.. i'm afraid if i watch much more... i might be rooting for the snake gang.
the issue is more with the primary female lead.... she suck eggs, like her fathersecondary couple is more interesting...…
the former king's sister is/was involved in every terrible plot in the empire. it is a cheap plot to make her son follow her footstep. waiting for 31 to come out, which should unravel his scheme. 32 would be a silly stretch since 30 had disproved the frame up on Fu father of killing jian Shao's mum.
the issue is more with the primary female lead.... she suck eggs, like her father secondary couple is more interesting... and successful. at least @ 22
I doubt that HC only wants to 'protect' XJ. It seems like he just wants her for himself. Poor SF had to suffer…
hao chen is a true masochist... 10 incarnations of getting egg on his face, i.e., XJ rejections... and cannot get enough of it. HC: brilliant idea... XJ would never turn down a marriage... (likely not the first go round.)
HC basically been psychologically raping XJ for 10 incarnations.
makes zero sense to treat "sworn brother" like a girl. and makes no sense for the in-drag to act like a girl all of the time. slip ups are credible, but all of the freaking time?
unless males leads has queer tendencies... so no eye batting needed.
like sleuths of ming, the unsatisfactory "justice" when penalizing the royals responsible for carnage. this one doesn't even make sense --unhinged over the lost of his wife & unborn is a bit of chicken and egg enigma.
the top three leads would totally sink this drama if not for the rest of the cast. how many times can the male lead says "I'm just a ordinary student"? i guess it is a running joke, like saturday night live's "i'm just a caveman" coming up with plans is the only contribution that the character brings into the drama. everything else is a skipper.
first female lead is far from cute --high on the goofy scale that one expect for a sidekick, or rather a sideline.
the second female lead is rather stupid, especially for an intelligence head. her "kindness" is hilarious --coerced capture by threatening random kids. her first appearance in the drama sums it up. she is either "thinking really hard" or "hardly thinking" --i bet on the latter, with a dash of constipation.
watched ep6 and DROPPING already! I like the younger sis more after they grow up. Both her looks and personality…
i agree about the man-child feiBai (twins) what is he "introverted" about anyway? his ass was saved from assassination. his brother has the shit duty of the family secret camp --which has yet to have any strategic functions other than be phantoms of the opera. their mother was murdered and all they do is pout and wear bad eye makeup --daylight boy seems to sport more of it.
the "bromance" scenes are so dry, and the emo soundtrack just isn't enough lubrication -- i can't move beyond xi fan is a boring douche. the emo soundtrack only highlights the cringing scenes. and mo lin is gawd irritating.

why is the high ranking of storehouse 11 such a baffling nitwit? little bai is a major albatross --and an off putting plastic face/expression to boot.
secondary couple is more interesting... and successful. at least @ 22

any who, stop being irrational and toxic. then again you're likely to be an adolescent.
