I feel like someone commented (while these were airing) they these mini-series were “tests” and whichever one was most popular/got the most votes would be turned into a full-length series.

Speaking of that syndrome...episode 5 felt especially New-esque to me. Lots of scenes with extended, unnecessary bouts of silence, and pauses in dialogue that felt unnatural. It’s kind of funny, because just last week I was thinking how I kept forgetting New was the director because I hadn’t noticed the things I dislike about his works.
I’ve only seen her in Kakegurui and adored her so much! She was amazing in that role (and the drama is one of my faves, as over-the-top as it is haha).

Yes, the bad part about WeTV VIP account getting episodes ahead of when they air on GMM’s YouTube. :( I’m sure it’s part of the deal they made, but I wish people would stop uploading them illegally. I don’t understand what they gain from doing that, and all it’s doing is hurting the producers, actors, etc. That’s what happened with My Engineer and they did finally begin uploading the episodes to YouTube on the same schedule as whatever the streaming app was (maybe WeTV also?). Because the illegal uploads kept coming and it was hurting their business and viewership.
So I saw a version 2.0 of episode 1 pop up on my YouTube recommended. Is there any difference? Is it just the two parts merged into 1? I haven’t started this yet so that’s why I’m asking. :)
Hmm. Thank you (sincerely) for answering. I do recall those things you mentioned; I guess I just got more focused on the other drama and developed tunnel vision, interpreted Eun Soo’s response differently than others (and assumed she denied it because she was in shock), and also couldn’t think of someone else with a motive (except for the friend, in trying to protect her if he stumbled in for some reason, even though he appears to be oblivious—but he could be faking).
So I’m seeing a lot of comments about figuring out who the real killer is. Did I miss something stating or indicating that Eun Soo didn’t kill her husband? I thought we were to infer it was self-defense.
ETA: I’ve now finished ep 11 and see where Ji Min is discussing a different culprit, but I don’t remember seeing this emphasized before (but I saw comments about this from before, so that’s where I was coming from). I just assumed Eun Soo was shocked and didn’t want to admit the killing in self-defense and/or the domestic violence. But there definitely could have been something I forgot.
And yet this is rated 7.4 while the Oxygen has an 8.6. I do not understand. I suspect that younger viewers don't…
Ahh well certainly not all Gameboy fans are like that, but some of the downright ugly hate and vitriol I’ve seen in comments merely because someone didn’t like the show or criticized it is very off-putting. I’m also just not a fan of some people stating their belief that Gameboys is the best BL ever as fact rather than opinion (though this happens with numerous dramas across multiple genres). Again, it’s not everyone, but enough to kind of leave a bad taste in my mouth. :(
I can also definitely see and appreciate how Pearl is a realistic representation. She did remind me of some of my Hispanic girlfriends who are flamboyant and over the top like her, so I was thinking it may be the benefit of coming from a culture that’s naturally more colorful and vibrant, unlike my generally boring WASP one lol (not trying to be rude or offensive, just observations I’ve picked up). I do love how supportive she was if Gav and Cairo; I just wish she was a little more toned down about it in the drama haha.

Yesss Fiat’s character has so much potential for an interesting backstory and plot line, so I’m really excited to see where they take it. I can’t recall having a lead like him in a BL before. Agree about the others. I think the main leads are pretty decent, certainly not the worst we’ve seen but room for improvement here and there. But man, that sad puppy dog look Win/Pai gives his parents when they seem disappointed in him....right in the feels.

Oh, I should clarify then. When I wrote this comment it was up to episode 5 haha so before that health scare incident. I was referring more to Judah’s sense of entitlement, taking photos of Rocky and uploading them without his permission, insisting on courting Rocky after that offer was declined, etc. Which I totally get his characterization; I understand the character they created and really appreciate this more realistic and diverse ML. And Kyo is doing an excellent job portraying those traits and qualities and growth. But like I said, love-hate with that one lol
