>I just hope that people can watch a male and female and be okay if it is this special yet nothing romantic or…
I haven't finished it yet, but, my problem is sincerely not the age gap, since I really felt the connection. What bothers me is that Dong Hoon has a kid and he still hasn't divorced Yoon Hee. They have that kind of very complicated situation that romance doesn't seem the right call. But, most of all, I also don't think that Ji An is mature enough to become a stepmom. But, you know, that's just my opinion. I am yet to finish the series.
Congrats to Mr. Chun Ho Jin for winning daesang!!!!! I haven't watch Once Again but he has left a very deep impression on me by his acting in My Golden Life! Congratulations to Lee Min Jung! She was very beautiful in Cunning Single Lady, and I am happy she's getting the acting recognition she deserves!
Congrats to Seo Ji Hoon for winning Best New Actor award! He's such a talent eversince I've watched him in, "Gyeryong Fairy Tale!"
I am sorry if I am flooding this comment section. I am currently watching the drama and I can only think of writing…
I love episode 12! Yu Ra and Gi Hoon's story is so emotional and raw, I loved it.
I can finally put into words the connection of Ji An and Dong Hoon, it is special, it is hopeful, it iis admiration, it is respect, it is a connection of two souls. I love what they have right now and I agree to the choice of the writer and the director to wove their stories the way they did at the past 12 episodes, labelling it anything romantic is a disgrace to something so special and hopeful that had happen in their lives. I would love to leave their connection as a beautiful event between two amazing people.
Btw, Jeong Hui is an amazing woman. For now, I am looking forward to see more interactions of Ji An with the neighborhood.
I am sorry if I am flooding this comment section. I am currently watching the drama and I can only think of writing here. So, episode 10 came. Another great episode.
But, I just can't believe why many people from different comment sections wants the two leads to get together?! I don't think if this was already talked about here, but I can't view spoilers since I don't want to be spoiled. But, I mean--even if you erase the age gap which I think is already huge that she can qualify as his kid if he married early.
here are the other big reasons - First, Dong Hoon has a wife. It doesn't matter whether he was about to divorce her or not, but as of ep 10, he has a wife. The argument that his wife cheated on him first shouldn't apply here because cheating remains wrong. I don't want his relationship with Ji An to be an affair. - Second, Dong Hoon has a kid. Do you seriously think that Ji An can get together with Dong Hoon and become the step mother of his child? Ji An has so many emotional bruises and do you think going into a relationship with an older man who gives her companionship will do her good?
I really like the drama for giving us Ji An's narrative. She's in need. She's lost. She needs that Ahjussi. She is confuse with her feelings and she has felt the warm of his companionship. She likes that he sees her for something good. But, that's it. The subtle romance you may feel is only when the point of view of the story is told by her...because she is confuse as well and it's a huge event that has happened in her life. The moment the P.O.V. becomes Dong Hoon, it changes. He cares for her because that's who is. He feels bad for her and his grandmother. He sees her as what should a good person should do. He sees a good friend in her. He sees a simple-minded fighter. But, at the end, he wouldn't see her as as a woman for a romance love story.
I just hope that people can watch a male and female and be okay if it is this special yet nothing romantic or sexual, especially if it's like My Ahjussi.
She just want someone to understand her, who will talk to her without prejudices. She just want a companion. It doesn't need to be romantic. She just need someone...and that someone is that ahjussi.
She didn't intend to do the bad person harm, but she had no choice. Ahjussi understood her and that's enough.
Four episodes in...I've gotta give it a 10 already. When you live in violence, you start to live that violence is your only alley. It was also great of the drama to show the lives of the outcast of the society, they need to live in hiding and of dirt because the society we live in doesn't care. Great drama!
She's one of the good Korean writers! Flower of Evil is amazingly well-written T_T I really cannot with the details and other things she incorporated on that drama. Do check out her other works like, "The Naked Fireman", "Avici" and "I Introduce My Father."
