The last episode disappointed me a lot, I felt like I wasted my time. From the start, the drama was good, funny and simple, it was not extravagant. It wasn't a 9 or 10 for me, but, it was a solid 8.5, but with that kind of ending, I am putting a 7 for now, because my disappointment with the writing was still very high.
It was really bad. The writer played with our feelings with episode 11, 12, 13 and 14 with the breakup and getting back together. They were so happy, they were each other's home. The writer sold it as a romance then in the end...what it was trying to prove? Independence? Moving on? Moving forward? Letting go? Fresh start? But it was poorly executed.
They were both adults, what's up with the messed up emotions in the previous episodes when the resolution that the writer really want is about independence and owning a house. Come on, those themes are not bad, but the writer should've expanded it on the previous episodes but not where it only has 30 mins to end the show. The writer shrugged off the major themes of "owning a house" and "independence" to give way to the cute, funny, sweet romance in previous episodes to the last episode where every kind of unfortunate scenario seems idiocy.
Na Young-won and Yoo Ja-sung--they were both selfish. I have a lot to say to our leading lady Young-won who says so much about "not letting go of hand", but immediately cut off things. That is definitely not a grown up woman would do or say to her man after she found that he was betrayed by her father, instead, you could've talked things with him and tried to rebuild your relationship. If you need months to one year to cool off then so be it, if you still loved one another after that then get married or date again. You don't need that cold and unnecessary time skip when things can get better if the viewers are not left to wonder what would happen to them through a proper communication.
Seriously, the end was bad in so many ways, even the emotions weren't delivered. If only this show never tried to sold off the idea of main lead romance then that ending won't be as bad as it is now. You provided an ultimately cute episode to the point of being an almost a filler (ep 15) when you wanted to drop that twist in episode 16. That is bad writing. People, watched until episode 15 then moved to the last 5 minutes of episode 16 so you won't feel THIS bad.
ps: I edited this to properly convey my feelings xD They were so many typos and grammatical errors xD
Those people who find the drama boring are the 1% of earth's population lolxDThis drama has a very high score…
It's always like that in every comment sections of great dramas. Lol. That's why you cannot just trust comments, every drama must be watched before one can create its own judgement, because each to its own. :> For me, Flower of Evil is a beautiful drama; I've never complimented a drama this much, it's masterfully created, I'm in awe especially as I watched them wrapped the drama at the last episode. ^_^
I think the biggest reason people find this drama boring is because they enter thinking it's only a crime thriller.…
You just promoted this drama better xD But, everything you said about this drama is perfect. It was so beautiful from episode 1 to last. Genuinely beautiful.
If you are fond of sitcom, slice of life and romcom and you want to see a good combination of the three, I think this is good. For me, this is a simple fun drama that I really enjoy a lot :>
I am happy with episodes 13-14, especially with episode 14! I think the emotions at the end as our leads finally find their way back to one another was nicely put. I cried a little bit and I think it was a beautiful scene. :'> And please, I am so excited for Ui-joo and Sang Soon next ep~
I've finished watching, "Drama Special Season 4: Come To Me Like A Star", it was so beautiful and sad. I also want to commend your acting there because it was so good, I cried so much, I hope you can have act more in dramas that could emphasize on your sincere and poignant acting. Monthly Magazine Home is also quite good though your character was sort of a comic relief at times, but I really appreciate that you are versatile! Fighting!
I love everything about this film, it is poignant and realist at some point. It is very good and though it has that tragic ending, it is still beautiful. From the writing, directing and acting, it delivered very well--Kim Ji Seok's part with his mother made me shed many tears. Good film.
He definitely didn't see that purse for nothing :(
"I do think Gyeom's friend and co-worker Jang Chan should be a bit ashamed by his actions. He continually pushed and prodded the meek Gyeom, then left him when he needed him the most, only to basically blame Ja Sung."
While I hate the noble idiocy breakup in this episode, I do love the acting. I cried and screamed and raged along…
Though such cliché breakup scenes in kdrama don't fancy me, I don't think their breakup scene at ep 12 was poorly executed. I understood Yoo Ja-sung as he was in a tight spot, but I believe the best decision was to talk either talk to Gyeom or explained things to Na Young Won (but still would put Gyeom in a bad light). It would have been really better if Chan did not interfere like what he always do. He's not a nanny of Gyeom nor his spokesperson to always interfere.
Anyway, I still believe there was a good thing that has happened in the episode as Yoo Ja-sung and Chief editor is having a blossoming friendship and I loved that!
Okay, so I need to wait for almost 5 days just to see them make up with one another--
though, the breakup scene was unnecessary drama, I don't think it was bad, I think for some moment the leads grew from it and it might also strengthen their relationship. but, well, that is just me. I also loved the blossoming friendship of Yoo Ja-sung and chief editor; for some point I pity him because he has no friends to share his broken heart but atleast, chief editor was there.
Btw, I still don't like Chan interfering for Gyeom, those things wouldn't have happened if only Chan didn't said that. Another thing, though I understand Yoo Ja-sung for breaking up with Na Young Won, I agree with most of the comments, it is not right and definitely not the best decision. The best would be is to confront Gyeom and clear things up, not what he did. But, that's cliché for you. It's still a very nice drama sooo it's definitely recommended!
