Before I lose the chance, I want to congratulate my favorite masterpiece, "Flower of Evil" and Director Kim Chul Gyu for winning Best Directing at 57th Baeksang Arts Awards! I want to shows my respect to Mr. Kim Chul Gyu's detailed and skillful direction for combining suspense and melodrama leading to the blooming of this artful masterpiece.
I would also want to congratulate Ms. Yoo Jung Hee for her nomination in Best Screenplay. She brought out this brilliant screenplay for Flower of Evil—every week I was amazed by the writing dissecting every detail, creating and reading theories with fellow FOE watchers.
For our ever best actor and actress—Lee Joon Gi and Moon Chae Won, trophies from awards shows won't equal your excellency and masterful acting and chemistry as Do Hyun Soo and Cha Ji Won. From start to finish, Mr. Lee Joon Gi you wowed me with your restrain acting and even when finally showed your emotions and for Ms. Moon Chae Won, I am with most of the viewers, you deserved to be recognized more. You played Cha Ji Won with such strong, sincere and poignant acting that it was so devastating to see local award shows not giving the credit that you deserved.
And for all of our supporting leads specifically Seo Hyun Woo, Jang Hee Jin and Kim Ji Hoon—of course, I want to mention my favorite Nam Ki Ae and our eggtart, Jung Seo Yeon, you guys deserved recognition too! To every single casts and staffs working hard behind Flower of Evil, congratulations!
Finally finished this one! It was light, cute and will definitely make you smile! :) Though, episode 19 made me unloved Han Shou, but oh well, after talking some sense to myself, though it was straight wrong, he's just a human, the important thing is how he trusted and loved her until the end!
Totally recommended if you are looking for some light watch with cute endearing casts and a little bit suspense and actions towards the end. But, the ending...! the ending..! Haha. It was kinda underwhelming, though, my wish and assumption came true, I just hope for more. But well, it was still a very good ride and has been with me many nights to give me some hearty smiles and butterflies! Thanks for this, totally enjoyed!
Congratulations to Flower of Evil for the five nominations! Though, I believed Moon Chae Won should've been there too for her poignant and beautiful acting as Cha Ji Won.
Congrats to Lee Joon Gi, Kim Ji Hoon, Kim Cheol Kyu, and the kdrama itself for the nominations. So sad for Moon…
While I am disappointed at Baeksang for making Moon Chae Won's acting an underrated gem, you can check this French magazine. They critic the best 2020 dramas, actors and actresses and they gave the best actor and best actress to both Lee Joon Gi and Moon Chae Won. :)
"We've been following Lee Joon Gi's career since his early days , and it's especially gratifying to see him blossom today in a role as ambitious as that of loving family man Baek Hee Seong / Do Hyun Soo, caring husband, and double-sided thriller character. Throughout Flower of Evil , his interpretation never ceases to reveal new riches, appearing remarkable in mastery and sensitivity.
For her part, Moon Chae Won delivers the best performance of her career in a role more difficult than it seems. Between the ordinary woman and the cop full of conviction ready to take all the risks to save her husband, she brings to her character a lot of nuance and truth. She is undoubtedly the actress who has moved us the most this year."
She deserves so much. If I’m not wrong is Flower of Evil the only 9.1 rated kdrama in mydramalist where the…
To be honest, my disappointment of her not being nominated is too much. Her acting was incredible, powerful and moving so as Lee Joon Gi. If we can only have Baeksang's criteria for selecting the best actress, sadly, we can' t have it. :(
You are my Best Actress! Though you are not nominated for the acting award you deserved so much, what matters more is how you impacted us with your immensely powerful acting in Flower of Evil! Flower of Evil wouldn't be that best if you weren't acting as Cha Ji Won and I really loved your acting! You are amazing! Thank you so much for being our Cha Ji Won!
Congratulations, Flower of Evil for getting nominations for Baeksang Arts Awards Best Drama, Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor, Best Screenplay and Best Director! My heart is happy because you really deserved it, but I am having a heart-wrenching disappointed at how Moon Chae Won isn't nominated for Best Actress despite her powerful performance and being Lee Joon Gi's best partner! I just can't stand it and I'm so sad for that, but nevertheless, I hope for Flower of Evil team to get all these awards because Flower of Evil is a classic masterpiece!
I didn't like the term "visual queen" tho because I believe these actresses are more than pretty faces and they all got talents. But, of course, all women are beautiful. They are probably being underrated by some newer kdrama viewers who are probably more into rom-com than heavier ones.

What I was referring to is criticizing a drama stating that it is bad but providing no solid grounds why it is so. While MDL users are permitted to comment, every user should be responsible and comment without being disrespectful to the drama and to the other users. This user was here before when the drama was airing and s/he really tried to comment on how s/he didn't like it then comparing it to Healer, similar to the the manner of his/her comment now.
Well, I definitely agree. I couldn't even understand why there is the hate?! Like, come on. Her character is definitely…
Tbh, I don't know what is wrong with them, maybe they just aren't good with comedy or ???? Lol. I don't know. But they should realize that Catch the Ghost has comedy on one of its genre and her character was unapologetically written that way and even though she's extremely impulsive on the first episodes, just like Chief Ko Ji Seok, he realized in the bridge scene how sincere she was.
I really really enjoyed the drama because I am a big fan of humor and yes, Moon Geun Young's character has its share of depth and she incredibly portrayed it. Respect is all I have!
Maybe after watching such masterpieces as My Mister or Signal, this one feels like one of those cliche series…
