Genuinely, just delete/forget the entire middle part and watch the first 7 episodes and the last 2 episodes. YEP
This is a character driven story and also slow burn. You might not enjoyed its bits and how the writing was so concerned with showing their developments, but I personally loved it and help me destress my day and comforted me a lot when I was in a very dark place. No need to be sarcastic, because you didn't enjoy a show.
From the beginning of this series, I have been fast-forwarding the 2nd lead couple storyline. Am I missing anything…
Nope. They both have different story lines; though their story gets to tied up on the main lessons of the show by the end. I personally enjoyed them, but it's okay if you don't :D
my biggest ick with this show is how the characters seem to meet eachother by coincidence every single time ,…
Seok-ryu's ex was indeed integral to the story, but Seung-ho's ex just kept on popping like a convenient plot device without that much backstory or current relations with Seung-ho. No hate to the actress, she's amazing β it's just that the writing wasn't strong enough.
Also yes yes the ending of episode 9 @Tom, like why did the mother kept overhearing things. Hays.
I've only watched up to episode 5, but I don't know if it's just me, the comedy is there, the romance will be…
It's mostly trying to be slice of life. I think I can relate to some degree to your opinion of the show, because while Seung-ho's ex wasn't annoying she was mostly likely used as a convenient plot device for 4 episodes (little screentime tho)
I think people love its breezy feel and that there are actually no major plots. I like the drama's vibes and conversations with some characters, despite feeling the writing is not polished. But I know there are better written slice of life or healing dramas here.
By the way, it has realest conversations / breaking down / argument between Asian parents and children so that's something the show is doing good than others.
I was actually surprised how good of a person he ended up being. I was expecting something bad. On the other hand…
I think I get that people do not want to see more of him, but I think this backstory was still necesarry to show Seok-ryu's point of view. I just think that this should have already been discussed on prior episodes. Because, I think we haven't spend actually that much on Seok-ryu's main story and growth (despite episode 5 where she found her dream still not enough for me), so I think there's not that much enough time to transition to romance if we're truly trying to be realistic here because of Seok-ryu's POV.
I liked Seok-ryu and her ex's backstory. Her ex is not a bad person, he's just a human and probably too exhausted also. While he said harsh words to Seok-ryu, remember that he's also a human, who's had moment of weaknesses and does mistake from time to time. He can be exhausted too, and that's normal. Of course, those real life couples who weathered all problems together are amazing, but some situations stop you from doing so. In this case, Seok-ryu already realized that she needs to realign herself everything and she needs to do that on her own. She needs think on her own, and figure things out on her own. Things are getting way overwhelming for her, her CPU heated so she needs this to step back and kill the switch (her relationship and the job).
I wished the writer had shown more of this from the earlier episodes...but anyway.
Judging from the conflicts now, Seok-ryu should just truly focus on realigning her life first, before any romance comes. I'm sure if Seung-hyo truly loves Seok-ryu, he would allow her to take her first steps in this new life just being by her side until she's ready to accept him as a lover.
I wished her mother didn't learn about her condition by overhearing it again...though, it's nice her mother hugged her. But...it's leaving a bad taste in my mouth that in the preview her mother was going recklessly through her stuff again...Also not nice from Seung-ho to say she's hurted her fam. (Way to go to pump her depression).
This should be a criminal offense under ICJ court to give this drama a rating of 8.4.People are just insane, this…
HARD AGREE. I think it's because some of the watchers here are not from Asian culture, hence they couldn't relate. It may also because some watchers were probably younger. This is hands down a masterpiece.

Anyway, my lovers from the star has serial killer plot as well I think?
