I see a lot of people everywhere saying this is a masterpiece, but I'm on season 1 episode 5 and just a bit confused.…
tbqh i went until ep 14 with the same feelings. i was just about to write a comment about how i don't "get it" either because of the repetition. the problem i think is the theme with the community/family. is it good? are they so loyal that they will protect you or will they turn at any second? and how come none of them have learned their lessons? on top of that, there was tons of hypocrisy. i don't think that changes much and they reach no conclusions, nor do i think much in their rships really change, bUT how they get to the conclusoins they do with the production and acting had me keeping up. i just had to stop when i was like ok i know what happens now and not much has changed for me. it's a weird show for me in that way that it isn't bad but i don't think it meant much fo anything at all

Nah Yijin for sure doesn’t have romantic feelings at heedo yet. Right now heedo is still his very good friend
tbqh i am sort of alarmed at how gung ho ppl seem to be at the prospects of romance on his part already given the fact that she is, indeed, a teenager. and we know this. bc they are immature. it's sort of putting me off watching despite the fact that i love the both of them as actors and ktr is older than njh. like i honestly am sort of ?????? lmao at the prospect of that being the most alluring thing in the current status of their rship instead of a real connection/friendship bc otherwise that's fucking ....weird

Really want to watch but the writer is a sexual assaulter so ...
it's ok that u feel this way and it's normal to do so; a lot of art isnt seperated from the artist but regardless it makes you uncomfortable and it's a nasty thing to do. jesus christ some people on here are just annoying, dumb, and/or morally bankrupt

yeah it sucks :( but give it a try because of the hard work the actors have done and if u feel uncomfortable than…
if you claim to care about the show then you would care that if someone is an abuser those around him can be abused. it's beyond just your pleasure. if someone is uncomfortable with that it is their prerogative. artists are lying when they say their work isnt a reflection of their actions anyway.

I agree with everything you said. I dropped it the first time after 5 episodes, then I started watching again…
i think the issue is that the romance is just ridiculous if you put it into context of her being a cop and him being...him and them having a child. it showed that she had no spine essentially so it dampens the plot of something being good about going up against someone you're supposed to "love"—for me i was watching literally stumped like if this were MY husband and i dealt with that? absolutely NOT. i would never be a cop though but theyre bloodthirsty as fuck and take everything personally and are trained to do so and view the outside world as a threat (literally!); it just didn't make sense and you could see how they were going to be playing with devotion like that instead of allowing her to go head to head with him. if it was about their deep love then it should have been shown but there's the insane amount of violations in their relationship that this is actually just pathetic and shows a lack of self-respect. if that was the case they could have used that too. there's so much you can do when a relationship is destroyed as a writer and keep the intensity even or have them be a fucked up couple but just... i even remember when she starts finding out and people were like "it's so good she stuck with him and believed him" which is NUTS to me. like no! beat his ass!!!! the major flaw was how they handled what was central to the show's being. if she doesn't care, why should we? then what's the point and what are the true stakes?

I drop it before last 2 episodes . I have no idea who gave this drama all 10. directing was so normal if I don't…
this is sorta why the website can be frustrating but the ratings pretty much are arbitrary at a certain point. it would be a hell of a lot easier, and better, as a site that collects info/reviews/data etc if people could be more honest about their feelings so we could get more of a better feel for the breadth of feelings about the show because out of the pages and PAGES AND PAGES of reviews they are mostly 9s and 10s which is absurd and what it means is that the reviews/comments are going to trend one way. i felt this way lol too

do we need another show about the failures of the carceral system while using it? this would have moved me if it weren't about kids, the biggest reason why we need abolition, and getting some fucked up judge to come in because she hates poor people and ruins their lives. bleh. but they rly need to switch it up in dramaland—find ways waaaay beyond the law lmao in a way if it's set in the police organization it's easier to watch cos at least they are open about their express hatred of others and oly half-masquerading. this and the queen of classroom premises are alarming in how much we let people get away with with kids but it has real life consequences. did she ever think that her job actually creates and sustains criminals? no, bc sselfish

The drama does not stand up to criticism from the first episodes, because the police do not take people with serious…
thats pretty realistic tbh
