controversy (of a serious nature) and a weak last 4 episodes where the last ep this man goes away for SIX MONTHS after establishing them as codependent freaks.
controversy or not, calling this 2013 wattpad script best drama of 2024 is surely something
idt it was a wattpad script at all and i think ppl r exaggerating that element bc it took a nosedive AND they fucked up. like it was actively fighting against that (but still trope-y obviously) so eh.
In my 10+ years as a kdrama watcher I've never met a single person who uses imdb as a reference to watch kdramas…
it doesn't matter is what i'm trying to hammer home. it just confuses me why the hell people are more upset about a reaction than the actual problem and aren't listening to people about it. it's frustrating. it doesn't matter if someone sees it or not; clearly it has shaken SOMETHING.
is 8.3 appropriate? should it be higher? lower? with the criticism of the last 4 eps it seems like people are…
leaving off at ep 8 (and having seen these eps MULTIPLE times), i had it at a 9 (though that seems a bit high). probably wouldn't go higher but that's a solid one. if i do finish and with all their bullshit accounted for probably a 8.4.
The bot accounts now can be used for other dramas how can we trust the ratings here Mdl is cooked for sure.
we are also confusing bots with real accounts. these are not bots they are real humans. there are also hasbara (isrli propaganda) accounts floating around. i call them bots but that would be the wrong word to use.

i don't think they will come back if they made it for this specific issue or took up someone's empty account lol. i think you all have points but i think there's some over exaggeration due to fear and exasperation and i especially don't want that to be taken as truth so there can be some sort of crackdown on users. a grace period isn't appropriate imo but is being proposed. or someone else just reporting every comment she personally finds outside of the bounds of what she wants. when did we become so obsessed with surveilling one another lol

i'm guessing it's been a high volume of new users. asian dramas are increasingly popular int'lly and this is a huge website (with a reputation) lol. that's a shame that shit's been glitchy!

yea but i feel like this is something this website always had or at least been exacerbated since 2020, since everything is increasingly about numbers. like there's some shows where i know the rating is high a lot because of fandom which doesn't mean it is unpopular or not good. it's a hard balance so i don't know because ratings are helpful but sometimes you just have to do it yourself. i only watched this show bc of csb lmao. also feel like this mostly applies to shows where the storyline gained traction (for being scandalous maybe) or there was some sort of scandal or problem surrounding it.

i mean this happens all the time. i forgot that i unfortunately like QL as well and the bl fangirls are insane it's scary. this rating seems accurate from what i know about the ending as whole. i told my coworkers about this and we were all like this is still a very good rating because it is. and on these websites you should remember that it skews a little lower so the real rating is higher. particularly imdb.
i never ever rate anything a 10 (even when i want to). any reviewing website or aggregate, especially now when everything is about numbers, will have some sort of skewing. people have to judge and experience for themselves. the problematic aspect is the way this whole thing has gone down between users, not ratings? this isn't an anomaly nor is this rating bad. the .7 drop was crazy and short but can be recouped. i see there's 47k viewers but only 20k/47k (that most users documented prior to this scandal) have put in their rating. i can't even remember if i put it on my list. things to keep in mind. also there's people like me who come back to rate it, or people who are using empty accounts or making new ones to rate it higher to bloat it (this kinda happened for a drama i liked sh)
lol if i wasnt already queer i'd be like "maybe i should inspect why i just want to look at emi for a long long time" ughhhhhhh i hate being singleeee
esp nowadays
