I do kind of wish the falling scenario was laid out a bit differently because it's a little ridiculous how it…
yea the push is a lil dumb but the fall....................fkpjashougagisjokaplsgokpjihou i even showed my roommate and when she saw she was alive she just started laughing
i don't pull punches when critiquing art and media particularly when it comes to the sociopolitical aspects of it as it relates to the work they constructed and political economy. so i get what people mean when they worry about toxic men and i think it's worthwhile to explore why there's such a huge allure for that type (even if they are seen as green flags and why we can't identify green flags as red flags) particularly in more overtly patriarchal, sexist, pseudo sexually conservative societies.
but wrt the show—and maybe this is me not thinking hard enough but i do know avenues i don't want them to go down or things i don't tlike that he has done—i think it all makes a lot of sense. it doesn't mean i think he's good or bad...i don't really have any thoughts on him like that because i see him as complex and it's not like i'd be his friend. i'd be um...well let's say he's on the wrong side of the class war.
but in case people don't know how to feel about it, i think i see that this is a person that is /not/ actually a person. like neither of them have been real human beings. it is a huge burden to have to pretend and be pushed around. "they replace kids all the time" is a fucked up thing for a kid to understand. they're extremely tragic characters. and because he is a man, he's socialized in a certain way and gives into certain things that benefit him. perhaps keep his grift going because he's on a revenge trip (we hope). but yea like keeping in mind...i don't really think it's sufficient to say "not everyone always needs a green flag" no the problem is making interesting complex human beings and giving us answers as to what they're doing and WHY we want to see them together.
honestly what i like most about the show is how much they're saying about being a woman and how sae-on's problems are not with women or womanhood. it seems like he doesn't buy into an ideology of weakness as he knows a lot of very cunning, evil women around him.,,,sad lmao
he acts exactly like he's supposed to act. and her womanhood, society's thoughts about women shape how he treats her within understanding him as a replacement child, a nothing child. i can't really articulate how tragic their stories are. literally no one wants them LMAO fsaighaghjpok
he controls her because she moves and is controllable. well insofar as hee joo allows herself to be controlled. but they have this push/pull and are "the ironic thing is their behavior is surprisingly similar" so dare i say it though hee joo was trapped for 3 years, literally a hostage they are on the same playing field. this girl is fucking smart and i'm really surprised they managed to write a character like this from material i absolutely know does not have this version of hee joo. love her down
Is it better to watch now or when all the episodes are out!!?? cause I can't take it anymore!!!!😩
agreed with the user that responded. but if you have a busy life sometimes it's good to binge. depends on what you want but if you want to watch it believe me it's worth it and weekly it will be an enjoyable experience.
whatever now i can't stop thinking about it. you know how people noticed they were so in sync in ep 6, they show that even in ep 1 like a minute in as they ascend the stairs. even though we know their rship is strained they're still in step with one another. true love right there u__u i'm going back to rewatch since the show's revealed their feelings and motivations well. this show draws you in really well; so much showing because people can't communicate or are stopped from speaking. can very much tell the screenwriter is a woman lol
otl lmao i wanna write something abt every aspect of the show sigjiasog i wasnt rly expecitng it to go this hard and me to be so impressed
smart ppl here
