whether it's poverty making people do things that are violent or turn to violence for material gain (or "crime") or poverty spurring a revolution. rich people are never going to just give it to you if you ask nicely. the hurdles these people have had to go through to do so. EVEN THE FACT that this girl wants a necklace wholly disconnected from her and saying "30million isn't a lot" like omg.
afaict the show, like many others, seems to think these are purely interpersonal issues and not a huge systemic problem. anyway at least it's making me think about what doing this could look like if we could be more honest. and it will make people think more and hopefully make these connections and ask themselves questions about not just the result of capitalism but who the perpetrators and benefactors are and how yes, in fact, all these rich people are harmful. and they know it.

ok so i disagree about the editing. at least this week it was solid. i think it goes back to your last point about not finding it long but wanting to utilize the time well. it's the affect they're creating in that scene. genuinely this is one of the better edited and shot shows i think i've ever seen for this genre outside of itsay (which was a masterclass but that's a very intricate and dedicated show and isn't technically bl i guess). it matches exactly what the show wants to do but the show fails in some aspects so it feels like the editing? if that makes sense. kind of refreshing to see editors get to do their job lol unfortunately they do it well and in this instance that is a bit of a negative.
ia with everything else! i too am confused about why no one else got their ass beat? like i would not work with hope without at least beating him tf up up?? it's so strange sometimes. also the auction scene...why the fuck would you not plan this shit beforehand? sometimes the script is like so literal and everyone is interpreting it literally then other times we have to infer because they don't talk enough. in a weird way with our criticisms...for me it is a bit of a strength when shit isn't spoon-fed to me; it allows the viewer to make their own decisions. which i like. the scenes with tattoo at the end were well done.

this ep was better than ep 4 (a good sign) and i really enjoyed it. like other people i do find it meanders but that's so small in comparison to my overall enjoyment. definitely a slow burn but what fills the time is pretty decent; the flaws i don't really attribute to the editing. the editing supports the vibes that i think fuel a more critical viewer's enjoyment of the show. at least for me! can get a bit long but whatever. very fun and engaging. enjoying this a lot and of course those fucking two lmao they're SICK ugh look at them . also did joke fucking smear jack's blood to make that fucking smiley face. if so that's disgusting but obsessive and beautiful. but more disgusting. i'll probs have more thots/critique on my 7870954th watch
i know i sound insane but i'm so glad there was more violence. we need harsh harsh consequences (and hopefully they will matter more next time bc...ok glass bottles of alcohol and shivs). screamed both times.
lmao not me fucking yeeting my comment. one thing abt this show that is an immediate annoyance for me is this pseudo redemption of rich people. i hate that tattoo fucked with his friends; no unity is rich people shit but. i do not fucking care if people steal from them, treat them poorly, fuck with them. idc if they look down on poor people ("we shouldn't give them a reason to look down on us even more". ok but who cares). in ep 1 joke was right...it doesn't matter if you treat those types of people badly. they make conscious choices that benefit them. being rich is part of an ideology. you are an exploiter. so these are not people on equal playing field....(+spoiler)

i get that people really enjoy their shows, but this is a forum. it has numerous positives, but the cons include the presence of more online trolls, particularly misogynist ones, or those who want to visit a program's page, become enraged that people aren't watching another show, and tell people that other show is superior.
but people who write that they don't like about a show, or who are watching it but seeing flaws, or who don't like it but want to see where it goes, or who enjoy it but have general criticism, aren't doing any of that. why would you want to constantly tell others how they should think and feel about a piece of work? are they hurting anyone?
why do we always have to define a "pleasant experience" as everyone thinking the same things always. if we don't it's our fault a show could possibly fail (this show will be absolutely fine but if a show fails that's most likely the show's fault). let me make up my own mind goddamn! girl, you'll be ok!
