i mean it doesn't have to be. i think the editor is doing their job within the confines of what the script and the writers and directors want. i'm a filmmaker that does primarily editing and i work at a film school and showed my coworker who is also an editor. this is how they wanted to film it and cut it. it makes sense within the story but it isn't the editing that's the problem. we work and do deliberate things and choices and technically the show is beyond par. it wouldn't make sense to have it snappy since that isn't the vibe they're trying to create.

and i saw what you meant i actually watched it with the same coworker that i mentioned earlier! we both agreed that we liked it! they're just two different vibes and different shows! i'm gonna pick it up later when i have more focus it looked fun.

omg you feel me! i am rewatching for that too! yin-as-jack has this presence that he’s able to create even if there aren’t as many words. and him as jack in the beginning to ep 6 has been a journey lol i didnt expect him to nab that switch. also agreed that he wasn’t terrible. even though love mechanics was evil i ended up liking vee. there is no explanation for this outside of him making that character! and it is most certainly not bc he was hot otherwise i would have liked mark lmao

i imagine it would be hard for him to have such a challenging acting partner and never work at it at all lmao like. imagine a dud across from war that would be painful.

also: the production value and technical aspects aren't bad at all. and you can tell they were in a budget but they utilized it well.

war is obviously a great actor, one of the best i've seen in this space and also a great young actor in general (international worldwide etc) but yin has grown so much and i hope he keeps working at it. js i think he doesn't get as much recognition (which makes sense btw) but i'm proud of him cos a lot of these actors um. don't lol. it's like i can actually tell he tries and his words have inflection. i tried to casually watch some fmv of some dumb bl and i was like very annoyed at how flat they were. tthis show spoils me. sigh monday
