Mouse has very good plot with so many good characterizations and even after the killer reveal there was so much…
I haven't seen Mouse so I can't say how similar it is or not but Memorist had a paranormal twist and what I personally loved most was the found family trope here, the way they all honestly liked the main hero. Even though the murders were quite brutal, that part was very heartwarming...
Episode 4 was awesome. Ever since the Himura Hideo drama, the "Kagome, kagome" song seems so creepy to me and here, it was just as bad. Hajime is one crazy nut!
Apparently this will be broadcasted on Netflix worldwide
Really? I hope so because it looks great! I wish Jdramas were more readily available. I want to give them my money and watch it legally. Please, let me give you my money, Japan!
Newwiee is going to be awesome in this! I loved him as Arlan in the Thai remake of I Need Romance and this will allow him to showcase his comedy skills! I also love that it looks like they added new stuff, that it won't be a word-for-word remake.
I feel you... The villain is been introduced nearly in the end...
Actually no, he has been introduced in the first few episodes, the whole plot was set up from the very beginning - Luo Jie's dad's trouble with the factory, the sample lost in the earthquake, Huo Yan and the bad guy knowing each other since childhood - and it was developed throughout the series for the conclusion in the final episodes. It's all been there.
I'm loving this drama so much! It turned out so good. All the parents are just precious and Huo Yan & Yan Lan are so cute together - and hilarious! And now that... (cont. under spoiler)
A Xiao Zhan/Wang Yibo's CP fan posted either a pic or a fic, I don't remember anymore, on AO3 that portrayed XZ as a prostitute or something. Crazy XZ solo stans got so mad that they reported the site to the censorship bureau of China and it blocked AO3 in China as an immoral web site. The site was really popular there so crap hit the fan and people started blaming XZ for what happened, that he didn't openly stand up against these crazy stans, only apologizing for taking up public resources. They started boycotting the products he endorsed etc. It was really bad for a while even though none of it was his fault.
Due to Covid-19 related delays, Newwiee had to drop out of Kem Son Plai. The filming has been delayed 7 months and he's about to start another big project soon (something not listed here yet).
Unfortunately, due to Covid-19 related reasons, the production has been delayed for 7 months so Newwiee had to drop out. He's about to start another big project soon and the filming clashed. It's so sad because he wanted to be in this so badly!
Yeah, she made it up. He did apologize for "not handling his private affairs right" because this scandal hit his family and friends. But his apology was in the vein of Xiao Zhan's apology for taking up public resources when his mad stans got AO3 blocked in China, not for doing anything wrong per se, because neither did.
I got all this info by googling "Huang Junjie scandal" and reading up on the articles translated from Chinese media, I don't have any specific links where you could confirm, I'm sorry.
From what I've gleaned, she worked on a production he starred in and they rode alone in an elevator once. He felt really down at that time because of mad stalker fans and so when she chatted him up about how horrible these girls were, he agreed and opened up about it to her. That was all. He didn't even really remember her at first when she started claiming they were in a relationship.
She admitted she made most of it up and apologized, saying that she didn't think it would affect his career so much - but only after he dropped out of acting and went back to school, of course. She then claimed that the transcripts of her chats with him that she posted as "proof" of them dating were misleading, that it was just someone pretending to be him, not really him, or some other idiocy.
Basically, she was a nut who dreamed up a scenario where he wooed her and only after she ruined his career she got a reality check. I hope it won't be too late for him.
I guess he went on a hiatus because he was disillusioned with the entertainment industry in general already before this happened. But he did nothing wrong. The fact that his drama Truth or Dare aired so soon is proof enough. Usually, when an actor is hit with a scandal, their dramas are shelved. This was not the case.
