When will this finish? Is it really on Jan 28 or now since some are going for express episodes?
For the VVIPs, it ended today. For the VIPs , it will finish on Jan. 28, followed - tentatively! - by Lin Hongyi's new (though very old) drama Wulin Heroes. For regular viewers it will take weeks to finish.
mmmmmm has it meantioned in the previous episode(may be I missed ) why lord langya died or suicides on the execution…
Lord Langya was sentenced to death because his brother, the emperor, started seeing him as a threat even though Lord Langya never wanted the throne. Like Lanyue told Xiao Se, the royal brothers loved each other dearly but the emperor changed after taking the throne and Lord Langya had become too much like an emperor himself. Those who rise too high never end well. And Xiao Se was crippled by the head of the eunuchs, the old guy always hanging around Prince Chi who also hurt Wuxin.
This drama is incredibly satisfying because the bad guys are smart, sure, but the main hero always finds a way to counteract their move immediately. You don't have to watch 30 eps of the good guys suffering and suffering and suffering some more and the bad guys gloating. It's one move from the bad guys, one move from the good guys and no dumb slump in the middle. Like watching a chess match. Too bad more screen writers don't get this.
Did Imiss something in ep 27?Who did he give that important sword to?So the important people he was waiting to…
To the Grand Preceptor who was good friends with Xiao Se's uncle. It was a reminder of Xiao Se's close relationship with his uncle that he had the sword. Basically, it was meant to tell the Grand Preceptor that this is what Xiao Se's uncle would've wanted, that he supported Xiao Se.
I wonder if Xiao Chuhe will "die" gloriously in some big final battle and leave the throne to his brother, Xiao Chong, so that he can wander the land with his friends as Xiao Se. That's what he always wanted, after all - and what he clashed with his father over - and I think Xiao Chong is better suited for the everyday dealings at the court. Xiao Chuhe is fantastic at dealing with the big stuff, with powerful enemies that need taking down, but the everyday scheming at the court would quickly bore him.
This is in no way a 6.5 drama. But, hey, haters gonna hate. I guess down-voting gives them some sense of power? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Sad people.
I find the character of Pei Yanzhen very interesting. Why are the Empress Dowager and the young Emperor so wary of him? Why does he pretend to be weak and sickly? Curiouser and curiouser.
"The thing that remains the same is that they were not my match back then. And they are still no match for me now." Holy smokes, they're all so lucky that Xiao Se is a good guy. If he were a villain, the whole kingdom would've fallen by now! 😲
Watching the 27-28 trailer, Xiao Chuhe sure knows how to keep everyone on their toes. When he decides to do something, then he really goes full out. That's some sense of drama, wow!
The first trailer made it look like comedy pure, all fluff and little substance. The second trailer is all blood and murder, heh! I guess the drama will be somewhere in-between, with lighter tone at first and then going darker as the story develops?
XiaoSe killed Prince Chi and when everybody thought he will take the trone he kind of gave up (emperor left 2…
Honestly, that's the perfect ending. I don't think that Xiao Se ever wanted the throne. He just wanted justice for his uncle - and for his 2nd brother to sit on the throne because, IMO, he really loves him and he regrets the state of things between them right now.
I wish that Wuxin could travel with Xiao Se all the time. On the other hand, their partings make their meetings all the sweeter - "You came all the way here just to save him?" and "I'm here to check on you" - so... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
... and his master's warning that he should learn the martial art described in it the slow way, not use the quick fix method that would let him regain all his power for just a brief moment but it would most likely cost him his life?
Yeah, that was an epic foreshadowing if I've ever seen one. I bet that they will end up in a no-win situation and Xiao Se will use this method to save them all unexpectedly but it will almost kill him.
2 eps in and I'm loving it. Especially Xiao Se, our no-name inn owner with no martial skills whatsoever. Oh, and also our best informed local tattletale! His unshakable attitude is hilarious. The way he reacts to everything with a raised eyebrow and "Interesting..." at the most has me in stitches.
I'm loving what this Twitter user wrote about the title - https://twitter.com/dailyzlinghe/status/1600825814144421889 - that based on how it's written in Chinese, My Journey to You could be also taken as Yun Weishan's Journey to Gong Ziyu.
