I think that many people aren't rating the drama based on the drama itself but based on the expectations they had for it. I think that many expected this to be another The Blood of Youth.

I think the coffin in the forbidden place in the valley will heal him. She remembered the line she found on the coffin and it was written again on the wall in the treasury room of the valley.

It's the thing with the line that she couldn't remember where she heard/read it. I love that all the crumbs were properly laid from the very beginning!

I'm so glad that we're getting a proper explanation for everything: who Ye Xi is, how she "works", how her powers work, why she feels Bai Yue's pain, what's the cause of his curse, how it works... All of it. No loose ends. Some other dramas could take notes, really.

And I love that she already knows - without realizing it - how to save Bai Yue's life.

The beginning is a bit messy because there's a LOT of background that needs to be covered to explain why the FL is the way she is - the men who betrayed her, her adventures etc. - but being more than halfway through, I understand now why it was necessary. Without knowing all that, her current decisions would make little sense.

"Misogynist" literally means someone who hates or discriminates against women, not simply someone of conservative values. Maybe you should first learn what a word means before you start throwing it around.

Eps 15 & 16 were so good! Silly and sweet, funny and serious. Mostly just Ye Xi & Bai Yue talking but it just hit right spot! It seems that he's resigned himself to love her and die for it now and he decided not to regret anything. I also love that they explained the connection between them.

I loved the reveal about Bai Yue, that he's just socially awkward because, being a genius, he grew up in total isolation, playing chess with himself, even talking to himself. Until Ye Xi, he has never left the valley. No wonder communication isn't his forte. When your only conversation partner is yourself...

Episodes 13/14 made this a 9 stars drama for me. They were so good! The relationships between Ye Xi & Cang Qi, Ye Xi & Bai Yue, Bai Yue & Cang Qi... even Xiao Xiao & Chu Yao! Oh, it's so good that I immediately went back and re-watched the eps. Gosh, seeing Bai Yue and Cang Qi being just... kind to each other and actually care, it's water on my mill! 👍🏻

No. She might be a little naive but she also knows how to take revenge in her own hands and she definitely would prefer it if men stopped wanting to marry her for dubious reasons.

Bai Yue all, "You dummy, Tang Huan has an antidote" and Cang Qi all, "WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME SO?!" Ye Xi all, "READ MY LIPS! I DON'T WANT TO MARRY YOU!" while Cang Qi went on and on and on about their wedding. Xiao Xiao helping her escape. Ye Xi dropping into the spring where Bai Yue was taking a bath and him guessing ALL of her thought process. That was so funny!

I loved episode 13, like all of it! I laughed so hard. Ye Xi is ah-mazing! And I love Huang Riying's expressions. No one can do the 🤬 expression better than her!

Oh, the twist with the wedding, that she didn't plan on marrying the jerk, that she saw right through him but needed to confirm for herself what the whole thing was about, that she was determined to deal with the guy and then go back to Bai Yue and make him answer her questions! The only thing she did not count on was the poisoned soup. If not for that, she would've been able to deal with it just fine. Nice!

I really loved Ye Xi in ep 12, what a smart girl!
