Love this drama so much, it quite surprised me. Boom is an amazing actor, his Lue fascinates me to no end. The last time I had this much fun watching a Thai drama was with Triage.
Was his 3 month hiatus for 'health reasons' at the end of 2019 to early 2020 a precursor and a warning sign. We…
I think it was. After coming back, he mentioned that he thought of quitting and only came back because of Cha Eunwoo who had been there for him and who told him that whatever Binnie decided, whether to quit the industry or continue, he had Eunwoo's unwavering support. It was their genuine, deep, loving friendship that drew me to kpop. I'm so heartbroken over this.
As I watch it, I'm kinda starting to doubt that there will be S2. To me it seems more like they really cut it…
It's not just that. Even Han Wuwei's actions are mostly happening off-screen. He just comes in and tells them where he was and what he did. Or Kang Zhengyuan's poisoning and his other health issues. It's all off-screen. A Yili's escape from the Mowu Pavillion etc.
So Junjie was edited out of most of the first 10 episodes I’ve watched ? I’m so confused …….
No, it's just that the first half focuses on Tumi, her establishing herself as a litigator. The second half focuses more on Yaksha and his arc with the Mowu Pavillion.
Done with the drama and, wow, the last scene was absolutely mind-blowing. So intense! For once, a drama truly ended with a BANG. In the second half, Miss Chun truly became a 9/10 one for me.
I'm loving Huang Junjie in this drama. He looks so tall and buff here, every other male character appears almost dainty next to him. I actually believe that he's a warrior.
17 eps in and I'm loving how the drama is handling Yaksha's poisoning. It's not on the nose but through little things we're always reminded of the fact that he's constantly in pain, that it never goes away.
Also, I'm loving Yaksha's sister. I thought she would be a cute bird brain but no, she's awesome, so brave and resourceful.
14 eps in and I'm so in love with this drama. Yaksha and Tumi's love is so soft and the way they simply trust each other, no second thoughts, no doubts, no misunderstandings, simply trust no matter what, that's just *chef's kiss*
Definitely worth the watch. I want the second half now
As I watch it, I'm kinda starting to doubt that there will be S2. To me it seems more like they really cut it down from 40 to 20 because a lot of the action is happening off-screen and we are just told about it. Sure, it makes for a quicker storytelling but it makes me wonder if that's where the missing twenty eps ended instead of them cutting the drama in two.
It's really frustrating because at first, the drama was listed as having 40 eps here. Then, just a few days ago, it was 22 on iQIYI's web site, now just 20... 😠
Rumours have been circling that it has second season. Even ‘Marcus Here’ on YouTube mentioned it and a variety…
Hehe. But I can't wait to see his new dramas, especially Kaleidoscope of Death, that sounds so cool! I would like to know if he's working on something at the moment.
What is this new series? Will it be released in 2023? I just saw today on IQYI directly 20 episodes, see on MDL…
Yes, the series is all out for VIPs on iQIYI. Some say it's just S1 - for the longest time it was listed here as having 40 eps - or it might've been slashed from 40 to 20. Who knows. But these 20 eps are definitely all out.
11 eps in and I'm simply loving this drama. The friendship and trust and affection between Wuwei and Zhengyuan. That Wuwei stopped seeing Tumi as his love interest and started viewing her as his "comrade in arms" for whom he would do anything to help her succeed. That Zhengyuan never saw Tumi as anything but his apprentice who he's immensely proud of. That the love between Tumi and Ye Cha is developing slowly in the background of bigger things happening. That the story of Ye Cha is really, really intriguing because he seems to be wary of both his enemies and his allies. It's so good!
On episode 7 and I'm loving that, despite their limited on-screen time, you can see who is the FL's main love interest. With Han Wuwei, she's like, "Yeah, yeah, chill, dude," even when he saves her from falling and whatnot. Then Ye Cha does the same thing and Tumi is so flustered that you can literally see her heart going all doki-doki.
Also, the friendship between Lord Kang and Lord Han is simply precious!
On iQIYI international it's indicated that this is gonna have 22 episodes. But we'll see on release day I guess...…
If the 22 eps info is true then I have to wonder if the 40 eps bit has been wrong all along or if they slashed the drama so thoroughly. I mean, I get five eps or so, but 18?! That would be half the drama!
According to various sources, Huang Junjie will be playing the lead in the BL drama Kaleidoscope of Death/Death Kaleidoscope, now apparently renamed to Virtual Reality. The drama resumed filming today/yesterday. https://twitter.com/Cpop_Melon/status/1627468745382973440
Also, I'm loving Yaksha's sister. I thought she would be a cute bird brain but no, she's awesome, so brave and resourceful.
