Now I wonder why Bai Yue said that he couldn't try to let Ye Xi be with him or like him. It seems like a prolonged contact with her is killing him or something? Maybe because she used her power to save him at the beginning?
It might be a comedy but, gosh, episode 5 felt so sad whenever Bai Yue was on-screen. There's just so much sadness and melancholy about him. And the shots of him in the snow were... wow. The cinematography was so good!
Also, "*sniff-sniff* You smell so good!" Heh! I wonder if Bai Yue smells so good to Ye Xi because she gave him a part of her powers to save him.
It's a shoestring budget drama made two years ago with little to no name actors back then. I have no idea what people who complain about it expected. Comparing this to The Blood of Youth is like comparing Is Xianzun Being Whitewashed Today to Word of Honor.
It's a romcom about a plant girl and the men who betrayed her, and a pretty, sickly doctor who loves her and follows her around to protect her. It never strains to be anything more than it is.
lol you don’t watch the drama, it’s obvious… she only died twice. And it’s obvious Bai Yue is hiding a…
Right? I also think that they were married, that the wedding we see in the trailer is a flashback. That's why he's so devoted to her even though she doesn't remember him.
I'm loving that their past is only slowly revealed. It looks like one thing, then bit by bit it's revealed that it's something else entirely. I wonder why Bai Yue is keeping stuff from Ye Xi. Did he try to tell her all in one of her past lives and it ended up badly? Is he trying a different approach this time? It's obviously not jealousy that's driving his restrain so what's his reasoning? So intriguing!
Yeah, that was brilliant! Finally an FL who reasons like a normal woman! She was also quite reserved when Tang…
I think that, considering how little info she has to work with, she's quite reasonable. I mean, she has no idea what's happening and the fact that she stays open minded towards people if she isn't given a rational reason not to be is quite refreshing.
No, he doesn't keep saving her because she saved him one time. There is a lot he isn't telling her. He's leaving out a LOT.
IMHO, their past will be slowly revealed. I think he's waiting to see if this time, she remembers him. If not, then he won't force her and just keep her safe because he loves her and he wants her to live more than anything else.
I loved the scene with Ye Xi and Cang Qi where he went totally unhinged and confessed his love and expected her to run into his arms... and she was all, "Dude, chill! I don't know you. And I don't want to know you! You're off your damn rocker!"
For me this was a 10/10 drama. I don't usually give a 10 - the last one I rated 10 was Ancient Love Poetry, coincidentally another Liu Xueyi drama and his character's relationship with Xu Kai's was just as great as Wuxin's with Xiao Se here, go figure! - but this one deserves it. From fights to relationships to court intrigue, it was so well written. And the costumes were breathtaking!
I finished the whole series. Can anyone explain the ending though? The last few mins baffled me. Is she possibly…
I haven't seen it Eng subbed but from what I gather, he died - and she decided to die too to be with him.
He promised to meet her under the tree and his ghost has been waiting there for her for three years now, ever since he died. After she found out about his death, she grieved for him so deeply that she got sick. In the scene where she fell asleep reading his letters, she met his ghost under the tree in her dream and he let her choose, she could go back and live, or she could stay with him and die. She decided to stay and they were reunited in death.
Sorry for chiming in so late. No, he's still with GMMTV but his contract allows him to star in other productions.…
I'm so happy for him, too. His manager, P'Jack, said that during their last visit to One31, everyone was calling Newwiee "the Monday-Tuesday leading man" because he plays the main parts in two productions at the moment.
