As ep. 10 ended on >!Good Wooju confronting the uncle who murdered his parents, grandpa and tried to kill his grandma,!< I was just like.. We're kinda veering away from quirky romcom with the fake marriage shenanigans, no? Like the line from *Arrested Development*.
I know it's a kdrama but how did Meri and Good Wooju clock >!that uncle and mistress would immediately turn to murder? And how did the police believe them enough to stage such an elaborate ruse?!< Did I miss a scene?

Poor Henry is such an adorable kid too, he deserves so much better.
Also it's wild that the mistress loved evil uncle enough >!to be the side chick for 20 years (!!) and straight up murder grannies for him... But she also distrusted him enough to keep copies of all their calls and texts in case of the inevitable criminal proceedings. She went to the "Trust but Verify" school of adultery.!<
I hope the drama redeems itself by: ending the fake marriage arc quickly and painlessly, giving Bad Wooju his just desserts ... And letting Good Wooju and Meri have a normal, happy relationship? Please?

the childhood connection really sank the whole story, in my opinion. they already had good chemistry and we could have seen all the cute moments & flirting as they gradually fall for each other. they could love each other based on him helping her, or her kind nature. it's very lazy to pull out this trope when it's not needed at all.
Both of these couples have so much chemistry, it's a shame they waste all this screentime on the ex from hell, his screeching family and evil uncle's evil corporate machinations. I just want to see them date 😭😭

There's no reason for this drama to be this good! That competition scenes alone were so long and drawn out but I was at the edge of my seat the whole time... And the chemistry is insane, is it bad I ship her with someone so evil?
Lee chae-min (??) is killing it. His acting is phenomenal, especially for someone so young! I can't believe people were so nervous about his casting.
the cast is charming, the chemistry is 🔥🔥🔥, and the plot is so fun/escapist, I can sort of overlook the fact that he's a mass murdering absolute monarch. Usually I'm the friend who's too woke... But for this drama, I just turn off the socialism within me and let myself be entertained LOL.
It's very funny to me that Sang-gi and his boss have more chemistry or, at least, a more compelling romcom story than the actual leads. I was dying at the morning after scenes, the dance of awkwardness. Her showing up at his college and them walking hand-in-hand was so cute! They needed more screen time and more progression in the prior episodes.
I honestly really like this drama. It does feel a lot like a weekender and a slice of life right now, but I find it relaxing and engaging... Though the dark noir gangster stuff is coming up soon 😞
I find the nurse sister and her boyfriend adorable, and main leads are genuinely sweet - those are the two storylines I care most about. I find the eldest sister an awful sibling and even worse mother. That poor kid...
