very simple movie, but I never wanted it to end. had me sobbing by the end, very moving depiction of the love between parents and their kids. good acting and storytelling.
I have nothing but praise for this kdrama. Delivered exactly what it promised, never faltered from start to finish.…
It kinda felt like fanservice at the end, tailored specifically for me. The well ghost and Yeo-ri became besties? I was demanding that from the very start of the drama!
The king and Gangcheori are bros now? They and those two guard guys & Grilled Abalone eunuch are now a found family? Hell yes!
Ok, wasn't expecting Gangcheori to be a girl dad but in retrospect it makes a lot of sense.
Personally, I wouldn't have forgiven the rapist prince or his evil ahh mom but she actually came in clutch during the last EP & even asked for forgiveness from the well ghost. Something to said for mercy after all, yet another King W.

the acting was amazing and I loved the cinematography, every scene looked so gorgeous. the director is also an intelligent lady with poise, she gave very kind and informative answers in her Q&A at my city's Japanese Film Festival. but unfortunately I just don't vibe with work: I loved the performance and visuals in this movie, but the story was a bit confusing I think and did not grab me as much as it should have.
