this drama is actually really good. it's not prestige television, but it's very gripping & entertaining in a pulpy horror/adventure kinda way. I thought the first 2 eps were good, if a little low energy, but eps. 3 & 4 were genuinely so interesting, I was glued to the screen!! i hope they keep up this energy.
Gang-cheol is so goofy and badass at the same time. in a drama that's otherwise very grim, the sheer joy and rapture he has with food (same bro). it's nice to Yeo-ri see slowly begin to see him as not totally selfish and antagonistic.
Yeo-ri is also so cool! she's competent, brave and willing to do the right thing while not going too far.
is it weird that I wanted to see a friendship form with Yeo-ri and the well ghost?? god, fuck that prince, I hope she drowns him... poor lady was about to let go of her rage and sorrow... period dramas rarely dwell on the consequences of a society where the 1% ruled like gods and could anything they liked with the common people.
the ending was a bit of let down. first, it seems she was more in love with her ex but the worst part is him meeting her before she moves out... she doesn't know him, she doesn't have a relationship or bond with him... how would any romance work herr?! it's not really a Happily ever after at all.
So does he just go around killing women? Bc that's fucked up and not justifiable at all. If it was a Dexter/vigilante kinda situation, that would make it at least slightly better.
That weirdo stalker guy must be the dead reporter's brother or boyfriend or something. He must the running his own investigation, I hope he survives. I have a bad feeling that the ML might kill him at some point...
What is this random woman cooking? Guessing she has affairs with men to ruin their lives but why is Masato even meeting her? So many questions ðŸ˜
Eww I think her boss likes her, as if she doesn't already have problems in her life.
idk man, this drama feels very dull and lifeless. maybe it's just me, but I just can't connect with the characters or what's happening. something's missing, there's no ~oomph~ if that makes sense.
Lee Sun-bin is the most beautiful woman alive, bro, she was slaying in that career woman outfit at the end!! can't believe they had her playing such a exaggerated character, with all those crazy expressions and eyebrow stuff ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
also can't believe she sang the song "I'm inhaling~~" earworm of a song. absolute banger.
the drama? pretty mid. first few eps were super rough, it only got better towards end... and then it just spluttered out. I still think all of this cast deserved a better script.
