I'm as confused as you are, why are they so unclear about these things, episode count was 40 from the beginning, but they suddenly change the schedule to 36, I have no idea what to think. I think no one knows for sure, we'll have to wait until tomorrow to find out.

Haha, you're right, I may understand some people not respecting opinions that goes against what they believe, but I don't understand and find it absolutely ridiculous that some people are willing to attack real people for fictional characters from a story. Even if we get absorbed in a great story and forget for a moment that we're just watching a story unfold, we shouldn't get so lost in it that we start attacking people for expressing their opinions.

I 100% agree with you, I've found quite a few loopholes in the story, it's good for entertainment sake, but if you really want to enjoy it, you'll have to shut off the logical side of your brain and suspend disbelief, it just mimics masterpieces, but it's no masterpiece. I had issues with this drama from episode 1, even after watching the first episode and seeing so many similarities with "The Princess Wei Young", I wrote a comment here mentioning lazy writing and a few people got offended saying I'm writing a hate comment.

This drama does appear to have better quality and attention to detail, and episode 2 was much better, the ML is quite charismatic too.

I personally understand why you would think that, I don't like it when people write hate comments under one of my favorite dramas either, but I can assure you, this was not my intent, I am not hating on this drama, in fact I am hopeful that it's going to be a great one or else I would not spend my time watching it, I always find it ridiculous that people who hate a drama keep watching it till the end and keep writing hate comments, they should just drop it if they don't enjoy it and go watch something else.

I didn't say the entire drama was bad, I've watched only one episodes and I even said this episode wasn't bad, it's just that the backstories should be more unique and original, it's not the same as enemies-to-lovers, it's okay even most dramas have enemies-to-lovers tropes, but how people turn from enemies to friends should be original and unique and not very similar to other stories.

The details are different, but the general narrative is the same, in both Princess Wei Young and this drama, everyone from the FL's family were framed and killed, the FL survived even though everyone thought she was dead. The FL then met a kind but weak woman (someone with a victim mentality) who was from a powerful family but were abandoned, soon after they met, the woman died and FL took their identity in order to take revenge. In my opinion there are a lot of similarities, but I'm not going to judge the entire drama based on just one episode, I'm hopeful that the rest of the drama will be better, the writer probably wanted to get the story going and didn't spend a lot of time on writing their backstory.

This drama wasn't even on my radar, I just learned it was airing yesterday, I hope by the time I finish watching the first 27 episodes, the rest of the episodes will be released at once and I can binge-watch the rest of the drama.

Just watched the first episode, it wasn't bad but the first episode was mostly a copy of "The Princess Wei Young" and if I'm remembering correctly even "Jun Jiu Ling" started similarly to this drama. They should try and be more original, this is just lazy writing. Hopefully, the remainder of the episodes will be more original.

This is the only German Show I've watched too, there are so many mysteries, so many intricacies and twists, so many complex, multi-layered characters that it will be hard to even keep track of it all, episode by episode it gets more and more complex and the twists just blows one's mind, of all the shows I've watched in my life, I've never seen any other show as Intelligently & perfectly written, planned and executed from start to finish as this one (Well maybe except Nirvana In Fire), I've watched it 3 times and I'm sure I will still notice new things If I watch it again. This show is seriously underrated.
Of course, even after all my ranting about this show, it's still a question of preferences, and what I consider a masterpiece may not be to some people's liking, but based on the dramas you've watched and your ratings of them, we seem to have similar preferences, that's why I think you'll like it.
