Title A Journey to Love Spoiler
It’s sad. I was in shock. But did watch it to the end. It’s whether you like a happy ending or to reflect…
With some dramas with SE, people regret watching the end and wish they'd stopped earlier, but with this one, those who have finished it, think it worth worth watching and those who haven't simply didn't want to put themselves through the pain.
Even though I don't like SE, I'm going to watch this one till the end.

Haha, gotta prepare myself mentally then. I'll take it slow for now, and when it gets to the sad parts I'll finish them in one go, at least it'll be over quickly, like ripping off a band-aid.

I like happy endings, but I'm also okay with sad endings if it fits the story (I liked gladiator too), as of now I'm thinking of watching it till the end, but who knows, maybe I'll change my mind when I get to the sad parts.

If you can handle it, watch till the end.
Thanks, when I heard it had a sad ending, I expected this, people seem to have different opinions about the ending, a few of my friends told me to watch till episode 34 and you and a few other friends are telling me to watch till the end in spite of it's sad ending , I'll see how I feel about it when I get to that episode.

I can handle it as long as it fits the story, if it's realistic and makes sense, I just don't want to regret watching it if they just messed up the ending by rushing through it like many other dramas.

I've been putting this off because I've heard it has a sad ending, those of you who have finished watching this drama, do I take the advice of my friends telling me to watch up to episode 34, or should I watch till the end?

Why is the average rating so low??? It deserves at least 9 / 10.
I also believe it deserves a higher rating, the individual episodes' ratings are even worse, I'm going to rate each individual episode higher to bring the ratings up, anyone else who believes this drama is underrated can do the same.

I just can’t understand that male profiler Gu. I understand that he has strong empathy for the kid and has good…
a person with empathy should have that empathy for everyone, but profiler Gu seems to have selective empathy, there are people like this even in real life who want to believe and show everyone how kind they are but can actually do more harm than good with their misguided attempts at being kind to one person at the expense of others.

You are right, he is out of his mind, but he is not the only one, on the opposite side of him is profiler Lee Eo Jin who seems to have no empathy and always tries to be objective and logical, both are dangerous as profilers, profiler Gu will trust the guilty ones because of his excessive empathy, while Profiler Lee Eo Jin will suspect everyone and may even condemn an innocent person of a crime they didn't commit because of his excessive objectiveness (Profiler Tae Su has the perfect balance of both and that must be why he's been very successful, although when it came to her own daughter he misread her because of being too emotionally attached to her).

I wonder if this wasn't the intention of Profiler Tae Su from the beginning, when he interviewed them they were both at the excessive ends of being emotional and objective, he probably knew that the chief would want to hire profiler Lee based on her resume, so he deliberately advised the chief to hire profiler Gu instead knowing he can't flat out refuse to hire him since he suggested it, but instead the chief will hire them both, and in this way with both of them working together and after making the mistake of trusting a guilty culprit and doubting an innocent person they will learn how their excessive views can be detrimental to a profiler's judgment.

i think i get her after ep 9..she is just that convinced that her parents will always think she is the killer…
As a profiler as well as a father, her father should never have suspected her of murdering her brother just because she was different and had difficulty expressing herself, especially when she was just a child, this kind of doubt and treatment of a child will definitely scar a child and influence their thoughts and behaviors for a long time and maybe even for life if not treated, all of this tragedy started from the seed of doubt her father planted in her mom's mind or else her mom wouldn't have believed she would be capable of murder and would not have been manipulated, the one with the biggest fault here is the father, not Ha Bin, even if others doubt one's child, parents should never doubt their children unless there's convincing evidence to prove it.

Her father finally found out she was the cause and source of all this when she listened to the recording of her wife, that's why he cried and if you notice, he started to truly trust her daughter since then and has been feeling guilty and trying to correct his mistakes as best he can.

I just finished watching up to episode 7, to answer your second question, the pacing remains consistently slow…
Just a quick update, episode 8 and especially episode 9 were really exciting and we finally got some answers, the twist at the end of episode 9 was really good and I personally didn't predict it, I had my doubts, but there were other characters I doubted more, but unlike others I never disliked or suspected The FL and I've been rooting for her, I don't know why so many people are annoyed by her (maybe they expect certain traits from the FL which she doesn't have instead of keeping an open mind and trying to put themselves in her shoes and accept her for who she is, who knows).
There's one more episode to go and by then we'll know exactly what her role was in all this and how all of this started, once it's over, I'll share here whether It had a good ending or not, since you haven't watched it, I suggest you wait at least another week and if it ends well, put it on your watch-list. I hope this helped.

You're welcome, I saw your comment yesterday and nobody had answered, so I thought I'd share my thoughts, looks like very few people are watching this drama, no one's leaving any comments here :)

I had started this show and watched till half of Ep 2 - was really not able to commit to it. This is in spite…
I just finished watching up to episode 7, to answer your second question, the pacing remains consistently slow with parts of each episode being a little faster paced.
and to answer your first question, to me the story was gripping from the beginning, and the direction remains the same up to episode 7, it is always confusing, with so many flashbacks and non-linear story-telling, if you didn't like the first 2 episodes, the rest are the same except some small parts that are more exciting.
To me Han Seok Kye's acting alone makes this a worthy watch, but unlike many others I didn't find the daughter annoying, it's just that her relationship with her parents and especially with her dad is very complicated and she can't trust her dad and has been hurt by him because he's always thought the worst of her just because she is different. if you understand her past, you'll see that she is in a lot of pain and her behavior is understandable and at the end of episode 7, even her father finally understood why she behaved the way she did.
The rest of the characters are just there to drive the story forward and I'm not interested in any of them.
If you didn't like the first 2 episodes, either you don't like this type of story or you are currently not in the mood for a slow-paced story, but if you have the patience it can be quite rewarding and the story is quite well-written, I just hope the ending doesn't disappoint.

Title The Double
Have you watched "The Rise of Phoenixes"?
I still haven't watched "Goodbye My Princess" because of the sad ending, maybe I should give that a try, It's just I've heard so much about how sad it was that I keep putting it off, I'm a sucker for a happy ending after all, but as you say, cdramas mostly have SE, so I should just accept that if I'm going to continue watching them.

At the risk of repeating myself, I've watched many dramas, but the chemistry between the main leads in this one is to this day at the top of my list, their relationship is just beautiful, only if they had followed the novel till the end, the drama itself would've been at the top list of many viewers.

I don't really know either, it was such an intelligent story and plot, in order to change the ending from a happy ending to a sad one, they changed some elements towards the end that didn't make any sense. I don't understand their obssession with sad endings.
If you decide to watch it, maybe don't watch the last 5 minutes, instead read the novel or imagine a happy ending for them yourself.

Title The Double
Have you watched "The Rise of Phoenixes"?
It's a historical drama and yes, it has romance. I suggested it because I believe the interactions between the leads is very similar to this one, the ML and FL are such great actors and their chemistry is off the chart (both are great but Ni Ni is just so gorgeous and is such a great actress, I'm a big fan of hers so I may be a bit biased).

But there is only downside to this amazing drama and the reason I believe it hasn't gotten a better rating is because the last arc (the last 10 episodes) are rushed and the ending is sad. Even though I'm a fan of happy endings myself, I don't regert having watched this a bit, because I believe this drama is so good that the journey makes it worth the watch. even though the last 10 episodes are rushed they are still good, as for the ending you can read the ending of the novel which has a happy ending.

Anyone feeling withdrawal symptoms, If you haven't watched "The Rise of Pheonixes", start watching it, the main leads have a similar chemistry and dynamic to this one, that's one of the closest couple interactions to this drama I can think of. If any of you have any other suggestions, share them here.
