The Gary Stu-ness of the ML sort of makes the FL pointless, she's the genius but he always works it out before she does. I mean why go to all the bother of setting her up as a rather plodding genius when after watching 15 minutes of her working it out he's all like "yup! Knew that!" Why didn't you just save us 15 wasted mins of our lives and tell us then?

I'm not sure if I'm comfortable with the way that chap is behaving to a woman so much younger than him, not sure I'd think that was ok if they were the same age ... bit predatory really.

turned out all right in the end....sort of ...but very watchable in its own way. Give it a go!

Oh yes just got to the point where he's been a horrible wanker too long - dropped. Shame I was enjoying it till then.

Totally agree I find it terribly off putting when a mature likeable ML suddenly turns into a childish possessive fool. It makes him hard to root for and if the FL does what she is told ...well surprising how many 'strong' female leads tow the line - c.f. 1% of Something.

Defo one for the youth audience, it grabbed me in the beginning but lost me along the way.

One of the ways to make me turn something off is persistence - I just dumped Dating in the Kitchen when he moved in next door to her after regretting breaking up...

Agreed unfortunately they lost a lot of their impact due the surrounding guff,. Such a tonal shift between the two parts - not one laugh :(

I'm really not that fond of episodic dramas I keep trying them but I just get bored.
I wish this had been a RomCom with KSJ being all jolly hockey sticks Judo girl, oh well.

Enjoyed the first part far more than the second - I hit FF quite a lot in the lasty 10 episodes and pretty much all of the last 3 zipped past.

It's one of the reasons I often struggle with them. Shows without anyone to root for are hard to persevere with.

It's not the age is the content, I watched Truth last week and enjoyed it.

Good solid makjangish drama. Nice and simple in some ways but an enjoyable ride.

That's an episodic drama - like a courtroom or medical drama with a new case every episode.

I was sort of enjoying the silliness of this which kept me from being too critical of all the glaring plot holes but episode 6 sort of tipped me off the edge. I might go back to it.. or I might not
