I'm struggling with this. I'm not a fan of mature/adult dramas if that is represented by sex rather than behaviour - I like unrealistic drama just fine. Still I am fond of Noona romances, the actors and Rom Coms in general.
Two things are spoiling it for me, the general attitude towards women being shown for one. The second and the real bugbear is the whole starting with a rape thing. I mean I tried not to pay too much attention - it's a drama, it's dated etc. yet they keep bringing it up.
He banged a terribly upset woman he'd known all his life because she was paralytic. Drunk to the point she has no memory of it, not the act, not whether contraception was used - nothing. She couldn't even recognise him!
AND HE WAS SOBER
Unconscious people can't consent - no consent is rape - no buts, no excuses it's rape. I mean both of you drunk is one thing but still they have to be awake and able to recognise you!
Started this for Bit Ha Na and the joy of Makjang - but it just didn't grab me. I found I was skipping more than I was watching waiting for the hook to bite. Unappealing characters left me uninterested in their fate. Dropped
Finished it and thoroughly enjoyed it (plenty of skipping through the sub plots helps) just about every makjang element you could wish for. I'm now a diehard Lee Yoo Ri fan she's like a little Stepford Wife on crack.
I actually enjoyed this more the second time around. No the best at all but nice warm hearted fun with loads of cute kids. I enjoyed the bickering leads enough to laugh out loud at a couple of points.
In the end I just hated the ML so much I couldn't finish it . Spoilt, selfish, stalker fuck wit hated him and all my love Geum Soon went when she accepted him - just no. Shame as I was thoroughly enjoying it till the last few. What is the delight in 'handsome' rich man children? I just don't get it at all but they appear so often.
Well that was suitably bonkers - slow start but warms up nicely before dissolving into over the top nonsense. The last episode was surreal. Skip the boring bits and revel in the crazy bits. Didn't really like the ML which is a shame, as the other main characters were great.
Not feeling this one - he comes over as an irritating smarmy smart ass and she well, every time I start liking her she moons off into weird decision land.
Loathed the lead characters and in the end pretty much skipped all their scenes for the supporting cast. Thoroughly enjoyed the support relationships and would have been quite happy if SolJiwan were the leads instead. So I can't really judge this as a whole but the mardy, maudlin relationship of the leads might as well have been what I don't like 101.
First few episodes were a fun but then it just became a grind. So many characters barely used - the grandma, the same shirt chap (where did he go?) NJ, just about every one. Got tired of the main couple too - just why? The original documentary parts were the best bits. Shame! great cast and production values, even the OST was ok and yet it just bored me. Got to 10 with FF and then gave up.
Found the ML creepy and the FL uninteresting and together they had no chemistry. Seen them both in other dramas and rated then so I assume it's just the writing and direction in this. Definitely a miss for me.

He even believed she was dying of cancer....
I don't know if I can keep watching.

Only half way too!
