Started this once and dropped it in the first episode due to the FL hurling herself at the ML due to love at first sight, came back to it after seeing numerous comments on how she wasn't just a doormat bimbo. The characters are actually quite likeable but I'm finding the HEAVY handed sweetness a little nauseating (and a bit tedious) which is a shame.
Ooh who shall she end up with Wanker One who who made up a bunch of lies so he could live with her after she lost…
I had to drop it due to loathing them both - there seems to be a genre of drama that revolves around pissing yourself off to the N'th degree due to your inability to crawl through the screen and slap the living shit out of most of the characters. My poor wee heart just can't take the stress so I tend to avoid such shows.
Starts well... Binged first 3.5 episodes then had to sleep and work and stuff. Then was like totally unengaged - binge it all at once would be my recommendation
Thank you there are still quite a few people like oppa_ who actually review shows on MDL rather than merely display their tribal allegiances thank goodness. The frothing twists people go through to try and discredit them is often a source of entertainment and occasional frustration to me.
Great review - you have more staying power than I do episode 8 and I'm losing interest. I was really hoping for a Durian's Affair type drama done well; you know with humour and appealing characters and like, things happening occasionally to do with the leads not some weird grandma. But they dropped any exploration of two women dropped into a new world with a totally different culture like a hot brick and went for let's just do the normal Chaebol business succession drama. The elf goddess whatevs didn't do it for me either - I might just leave it until next year and start again.
I picked it up and dropped it in the first episode a couple of times - too slow, too miserable. One day I started…
I'm a middle aged chap who only fairly recently ended up valued at a job I enjoy by people I like and respect. Twenty years or so of crappy office politics and crappy jobs for people with little pride in what they do to get here. I think sometimes things can just be a little too close to home to watch for entertainment and that was my main sticking point with this. In the end it's also why I ended up enjoying it so much and rewatching it so often
this series is so drab, I dropped it at episode 2. Drab, depressing watching someone in a lowly state bring others…

Winner!
I am finding her cheeks and his Adam's apple quite fascinating though.
