Yay, you're welcome! No regrets, really, it's not cheesy and filled with filler like cdramas, it's short and pretty tight :)
I watch mostly korean but dabble in cdramas for the cute guys lol. The dubbing kills me so I'm super picky. I didn't know what to expect with TW, but it was totally worth it.
Near the beginning of this episode, Lee Gon thought the uncle wanted to get the flute. Wouldn't it be easier to…
Probably! You know, I thought that during that battle scene at sea that they would kill Lee Gon? And that that would set off JTE to kick start the time loop chase for us viewers? That would've been awesome, if we just start spinning through different versions of the present, but I guess the drama is confusing enough already lol. I was sad that that scene was just a pissing contest for the PM. How useless.
The story isn't similar, there isn't a parallel universe or kings or anything fairy tale-like, but there are doppelgangers and time travel, and a heartbreaking romance that makes sense.
When the female lead from the present travels back in time, she inhabits the body of her doppelganger, it's that kind of fantasy. No spoilers, it's the kind that's much better discovered as you watch it :)
The time loop is well done, and you understand why things are happening, even if the how is more mysterious than not. No Euler's number or any other math silliness needed.
It's heartbreaking and hopeful, and it's a fantastic watch.
Tbh that also happened in Goblin, where the bad guy disappeared for 3/4 of the drama, but in Goblin you can argue that the bad guy was the not the guy who had him killed, but instead the curse/blessing stemming from the sword/gods/etc..
Here, though? No idea.. maybe the time loop itself is the bad guy and the uncle is just a distraction?
Yes! Watch that one! It's so good! Also my first (and only, so far) TW drama, and it set the bar so high for this type of story vehicle, it makes The King seem very amateurish.
Because they'd end up hiring someone from Puerto Rico to dub and then pass it off as Peninsular Spanish. The English…
If they'd hired Puerto Rican voice actors, I'd still be watching this. Nothing like hearing a "ya tu sa'e" coming out of someone who's supposed to be speaking (mostly) catalán lol
What is Han Sen wearing???? I cant stand looking at him with those pants ???
What he was wearing in the first couple of episodes looked like lululemon tights to me. i'm sure that stuff on them was like grommets or rivets or something, they looked like cutouts to me, tho. hilarious!

Yeah.. I don't get it either lol. I'm only watching this because I refuse to believe KES would write tripe without there being some amazing saving grace (like Secret Garden was for me) so.. patiently waiting, but it'd be nice to make it to the freaking halfway mark and at least have a glimpse at what motivates the bad guy, other than just sadistic blood lust (is it really just that?)
"—why is one of the doppelgänger ending up dying a rule of the universe? I know it’s only her conjecture but why? Her explanation is so strange." THIS! This reminded me of Suzy in Big coming to the conclusion that when they body swap again, they'd lose all memory since the time of the accident. Whaaa...? How would she know this!? And it's what happened! Who died and made these people experts? When your drama starts drawing parallels to Big, that's not a good thing - Gong Yoo notwithstanding (I forgive him for such travesty, he's only human :D)
it's safe to say young and eunsub's scenes are the best part, and he's such a great actor! I love his eyebrow…
Near the beginning of this episode, Lee Gon thought the uncle wanted to get the flute. Wouldn't it be easier to travel a day or two before the day he killed the king, and just grab it when there's no one around? It feels like an awful lot of work if he already has the power to time travel.
Was Chae Song Hwa's car in the hospital parking lot in the end? Meaning she lied to Ik Jun that she didn't bring…
She didn't know where she'd parked it, either, she had to wait for the beep and the lights. Maybe someone else dropped the car off for her? Or if it was a different day, maybe it'd been there for a while and she forgot where she parked it? Either way, great excuse, Song Hwa :)
He became obsessed but i think he doesn't love his current wife and a part of him loves his ex that's why he wants…
Yep, especially with what we saw this last week, this is true. 3 weeks ago, it wasn't as evident :) he said it, marriage is the same no matter who you're married to, that's a big expression of regret over the whole ordeal. I'm curious as to where we go from here.
Since the scissors scene in ep1 I've been constantly wondering which character will finally break and go on a murderous rampage. Because someone else is gonna die, right? We already have the mayhem, bring on the murder!
My money's on Joon Young (may be too small, though) or Tae Oh since he's already displayed homicidal tendencies.
The end of 4 had me in tears for a while. I can't wait to learn more about their love story, but for now his recreating special moments between them is all I need. I wasn't feeling Yoo Ji Tae at all at first, but I'm down now.
I'll stick it out and tell you guys how it goes. Currently, the only thing that's really keeping me going is the…
When KES used the story of The Little Mermaid in Secret Garden, it fit their relationship well, and you don't get beat with the concept over the head all the damn time. In the later episodes when she has the accident up until she finds his writing in the book, whoa. I was not a fan of Secret Garden (except HB playing a screaming woman, that was hilarious) until then.
