On Now, We Are Breaking Up Nov 15, 2021
This drama feels very dated. From the elevator muzak they're using for bgm, to the story, to the stiff and unnatural acting. Yikes. I wish SHK would use more of her facial muscles. She looks the same in most scenes, regardless of whatever she's supposed to be emoting - mostly like a deer caught in headlights.

I think having the children's story helps you get more perspective of the drama. At least here i think that scene…
Agreed, the childhood trauma for him is critical to the story, so they had to show at least him as a child. Would've been weird to not have the FL character present for the whole episode, so for me it made sense to show them meeting as children. Anyway, better this way than to sneak it in awkwardly later on (and repeatedly, and pointlessly)

The lighthearted tone on 2 was unexpected, but welcome - there will be enough time to get to the "sorrowful court romance of the century", to paraphrase MBC's promos.

But can we talk about that fan service, Deok Im patting that cat painting on the butt? IYKYK 🍑. And beauty is very much in the eye of the beholder, but Junho is a freaking sculpture in this drama. The man has been working so hard, we get to reap all the benefits 🦊 he's so beautiful 😭

"ONLY YOU CAN DO IT. READ A BOOK"Is everyone else in the palace illiterate?
She's the only maid that stayed behind, he probably didn't want her to be alone with the tiger heading to the palace and this was his way of getting her to join the others

I don't know why Secret Love Affair isn't a recommendation here, I just realized every single episode of this Reflection of You has felt like the dinner party episode from SLA. IYKYK. 100% cringe, 100% here for it. This is ah-mazing TV. Ep 9 had me screaming so often

How does this detective, who knows the culprit has a visual signature, decline to inspect a covered up painting and dismisses it as irrelevant, found at the suspect's apartment? Is this laziness or stupidity or both? I tried but I can't with this drama.

Title Reflection of You Spoiler
Hae Won needs therapy like 7 years ago. The level of delusion is *real* that she's owed anything by anybody. He never loved her, only agreed to go through the marriage registration at Hee Joo's advice (he'd do anything she asked him to, she was his muse, his own obsession), and in the end, everyone has their own agency, whether it leads to selfish acts or not. She can react however she wants, but let's be honest, she's won't come out of this having gained anything. I wonder if she's the one that'll end up in that bag submerged in the pond.

I love these counterpoints on appearance. HJ projects a manufactured image (fake on so many fronts) and HW can't help but project what she has inside (happiness and lightness before, and the void she has inside now). Yet, HJ's projection, her countenance, is the only thing WJ sees and captures, whereas he doesn't see HW (only draws the face of whom he loves, his muse HJ). HW really needs to listen to those that told her to move on - nobody's worth crying over if they don't cry for you in return.

Review My Name Spoiler
He didn't throw the fight but made himself far easier to kill by removing all bullets but one. He went super theatrical…
What she dropped looked like shells, not live rounds. She'd been firing the gun while making her way to the elevator so all she had left was one bullet. But agreed, it was all unnecessary theatrics, like most of the drama itself.

The woman shown in the Irish hospital cctv seems younger, but she doesn't look like either sil or mil. I'm intrigued!

I don't understand the negative comments about the FL. She seems like she fights between staying humble and enjoying…
I find Hee Joo way more sympathetic than the girl who lost her self and built her happiness around a man that didn't love her, and she continues to obsess over - years after he left her for another woman. Hae Won has all the makings of a psychotic bunny boiler. She's great for laughs when she makes sad sack faces.

It was said that Hannah signed for his discharge from the Irish hospital, but Hae Won didn't leave Korea. Who could this be? I'm thinking the sister in law? Someone's letting Hae Won into the gated complex where Hee Joo lives, too, my money's on her, but idk if I missed something and we know who got him out.

I can't think of any other drama that's made me this uncomfortable while watching. It's a slow motion train wreck of the GOOD kind.. I can't take my eyes off and I want more. So many secrets, smoke, and mirrors, it's very intriguing, but holy crap is every single character like nails on a chalkboard.

I have a question in the spoiler, if anyone can help, please.

I'll be watching three sageuks and jirisan I just started. I'm Junho-biased hottest so Red Sleeve is a must (till it lets me down, crossing fingers it doesn't), Rowoon's not sure I'll continue, and Taecyeon's looks fun. Love how much variety there is out there, a buffet of dramas

Exactly! Everything else seems shallow. I mean shallow isn't bad, but make it make sense, make it entertaining, and make it not cringe-y, if you're not going to make me think and feel.

I've become so picky, I love kge and ngm too, but I ended up dropping both their dramas. I don't shy away from multiple live watches, but I end up with so little time, so the ones that grab me fully (or the ones I enjoy rage watching, it's a thing now and then 🤣) win and everything else gets dropped. I'm looking forward to The Red Sleeve the most out of what's coming soon, so-called sorrowful romance, I hope it's as amazing as the teasers show.

Right? Lately my dropped list has started competing with my completed list in length. This and DP have been standouts, so lucky and thankful to have tried them out!

It's great, thanks 😊 so many thoughts and feelings circling my mind since finishing it, I enjoy reading other perspectives. The parallels, allegories, depth of meaning in every angle of this drama all deserve to be enjoyed long after the last scene, and this helps.
