All the characters are so bland, add on top of that a been-there-done-that plot full of tropes, and it's meh. It's a good drama to multi-task to for the cheery music, at least. I love KSH, but KHN and his character were more entertaining in Camellia 🤷♀️ and the conflict with Kim Ji Suk made it interesting (serial killer thing I could do without)

He either did and the guy that was berating him for standing there was muted as Ahn Jun Ho ran (you could hear footsteps but not voices), or it was another hallucination, like he'd had in the past. I think the latter makes more sense, he imaged he was running, but didn't really do it. Otherwise we would've at least heard yelling along with the footsteps.

We can make assumptions as to what kind of filter those viewers watched this drama through - we all apply our own pov to what we watch. Mine is that those that didn't understand why it played out how it did haven't had similar life experiences that made this story so relatable to others. And that's fine, but the judgment is harsher than merited, imo.

Yep! He gives her the thrills she's looking for. Power to her for knowing what she wants and doesn't want right now. They won't last, and that's fine, that's the typical relationship at that age.
I expected/hoped for an ending like Cheese in the Trap (I loved that one, give me ambiguity and hope any day over a contrived "happy" ending - what's that, even. Run On had a great rumination on this, too), but this one was great, too. Their ship is headed for a few icebergs, you can see them a mile away, but who cares, they're riding the waves for as long as they can. That's what she wants, she wants a thrill, she wants to feel alive, she doesn't need stability, security, dependability - she's in her early 20s, not 40s. She'll shift gears later when she needs to, all rides come to an end at some point.
Very well stated. I think the target audience for this drama was definitely not the idealistic, inexperienced set, but perhaps those of us that have been in any of these characters' shoes. This is an age of experimentation, optimism, and heartbreak. Yes, we all know better, but choosing to feel alive, even if it's painful, is still better than simply existing in a safe space. Rollercoasters wouldn't exist if thrill-seeking wasn't part of living - and while they're not for everyone, if given a chance, they're a hell of a ride, albeit short. Then, life goes on.
John Bio is the gift that keeps on giving, can't wait to see next week's episode. I love this show so much, it's an insane roller-coaster with no brakes. Kudos to the writer for coming up with so much ridiculousness, I'm impressed!

After pushing myself past 3 and thinking it'd get better, I finished it just now out of curiosity and generous fast forwarding. I couldn't get into it either, though there were a few good scenes on the last episode. Time to move on to something else now.
Same, it's taking me weeks to get through episode 3, a few minutes at a time before I get frustrated or bored. Sticking with it because of its reputation. The recommendations are my jam, too, I thought I'd enjoy this more.
