Chemistry btw two people doesn't depends on screentime btw the actors, it comes naturally evwn if you have 5 minutes…
Agreed! The stair scene in ep1 of Sweet Munchies put more sizzling chemistry on display in the space of 1 wordless minute than some dramas can do in an entire run. It's not about screen time.
there's a lot of analyzing going on here lmao. someone in the s1 comments said this was so much more fun to watch…
It's been true of all three seasons! Nobody gets in a rollercoaster expecting to learn something or get anywhere, you just get on and enjoy the ride. That's what this is 😁
I think this treatment also has been helping some of us viewers to relate to it as revisiting romantized memories…
Yeah, this was 1990s Sting, big difference 🤣 and that's the Gen X'er in me laughing at those particular memories. At least it wasn't backstreet boys? I don't think all memories need to be romanticized, but the memories of the aftermath are helped by a heavy dose of romanticism, no doubt. Nabi is all of us that knew better, but did it anyway :)
Does anybody feel like the opening credits look like a homemade movie shot on a hand-cam and is been shown to…
I think this treatment also has been helping some of us viewers to relate to it as revisiting romantized memories of youth. Ooph. I wish I had this soundtrack back then and not some cheesy Sting songs xD
Please correct me if I'm wrong, but the "show" we watched was based on Sheng Sheng's novel. I think she wrote…
That's what it seems like, the scene at the bench is how it really happened, and the scene at the theater was the dramatized version. Or they could have both been dramatized, one being a draft version for the novel and one final. I don't think this was clearly stated. I prefer the former theory :)
The fact that only a few of us in this comment section understood the contract kind of shocks me because I thought…
That's true. It goes beyond lack of logic. If this drama were to abandon the pretense and embrace its trashiness like PH, we wouldn't be nit-picking as much as we are.
That's been a thing from the very beginning. If she doesn't wish doom upon the world, the person she loves most…
Meant to post it here, this was from the ep11 recap over at dramabeans. I know we all watch through our own lenses and choose to forgive plot holes for the sake of "the feels" (I'm one of them - I loved Sweet Munchies even though the drama was absolute trash) but when the plot veers in unexplainable directions, it gets hard to ignore these things:
"The goddess can’t save her life – she’s destined to die – but she can erase Myeol-mang and Dong-kyung’s roles in each other’s fates. Dong-kyung and Myeol-mang will forget each other, and their contract will be void. She’ll no longer have to choose between the world and the person she loves."
