My friend and I call him Mr Writer (compare to Ju Dan Tae being called Mr Producer) because he is totally omniscient, but without any real good reason for it - very convenient. Also, why is his father such an Achilles heel - still?? Ayayay. This drama defies logic over and over, but it's okay, it's so entertaining, we wouldn't dare lump it with tkem-level logic defiance.

I'd hoped for an Inglorious Basterds /history rewritten to avenge the victims sort of ending, and it didn't disappoint. I definitely enjoyed the pseudo historical/intrigue aspects more than the body swap (but the anachronisms were funny, especially sliding into dm's, Joseon-style, catfishing and all) and the strange love triangle (especially the creepy kissing cousin. Ep 19 had me looking like the Jackie Chan meme for the first solid 15 mins). Him getting a temple name upgrade was pretty cool, though I would've liked to have seen a bigger ripple effect from that change.

I wonder if it was a mistranslation, as Kirov is sort of close to Kiev in pronunciation. He also had all sorts of misconceptions about Russia regarding the movie he was quoting, considering it's an American movie, after all. So if he did say Kiev, it was probably on purpose to accentuate his ignorance. - my take just having watched this scene.

The funny thing is that that's exactly what happens at the end, negating the whole story up until then. This drama is good on the ears, but awful on the brain cells.

How did you feel about NQ not taking bites out of LQ, and getting helped out by a long distance pair of chopsticks instead? My mind = blown. They weakened NQ so much vs the novel on the same scenes. I survived 8 episodes and had to drop it. The novel is so much better, you don't really need to watch s2 if you read it. Imagination >>> s2 bs production.

The novel dances around it but, short answer, yes. The ending makes it obvious that she does.

With you there. I wasn't invested in any character or story, just watched for the eye candy with liberal fast forwarding, because honestly I could feel my neurons dying off otherwise. I survived to the halfway point of 15 and dropped it - ending was obvious, may as well save my thumb from all the fast forwarding. Not even the eye candy could keep me interested anymore. Hwang In Yeop is awesome, loved him in 18 Again, too, but actors aren't to blame for crappy works (I can't explain MGY here, tho, what the heck was that)

I'd only seen her in sageuks before and she was in a nearly permanent semi-crying state in everything I'd seen her in. I almost didn't watch this because of her. But she is brilliant here.

I loved them waxing poetic about the meaning of happy endings. Like Seon Gyeom explaining how his finish line would change ("today, you were my finish line") a happy ending is not a destination but a journey, and you just keep on running. What a beautiful drama!
