This week's episodes were absolutely exceptional in this apotheosis of trashiness of a drama. I am still waiting for the body count to start ticking up again, come on! 2 more episodes before the break, drama please don't disappoint!
I have a curiosity. How this crazy makjang show explained how a child who was in a coma for 16 years (all her…
We do not ask such questions in a drama like this lol. Watching for logic or scientific basis on anything that's going on is a needless distraction. :D
I threw logic out the window the moment that, right at the start of ep 1, they showed Seol Ah dropping from 47 floors up, through a glass dome, onto a stone statue, and her body was still in one single piece.
These two videos summarize it all very good and on point. Many viewers who defend DS as the main lead mostly because…
On the topic of drama co-dependency in this day and age... an observation:
I just finished watching the cdrama Skate into Love (Steven Zhang for me is the Chinese Kim Seon Ho with his easy, accessible charm and boyish looks) and a huge theme in this drama was the pursuit of the individual's dreams over self-sacrificing for the partner's dreams.
Finding meaning and realization through pursuing their dreams, building themselves up individually while supporting each other, instead of arresting their own development for the sake of the other person. This was SO refreshing after watching Start-up, I kept thinking Dalmi needs to learn a thing or two from the female leads in this drama.
It has truly empowered young women with very clear goals, who didn't need some white knight to save them, but rather enjoyed the companionship of their equal partners because they filled gaps in each others' lives.
Add to this a significant number of shower scenes (that was surprising) and skinship that left me squeeing, and it was an unexpectedly great drama :)
Yoon Hee and Rona have been trash from the get-go, and frankly the worst characters with their woe-is-me charade…
Yoon Hee literally is a murderer! On par with Dan Tae!! Both motivated by greed and revenge, they're really no different. When Dan Tae acknowledged that he'd finally found a suitable partner in Yoon Hee, he wasn't exaggerating, she just doesn't have the resources he does.
Loved TWOTM though it's still the best drama of the year for me, would want to watch more newer makjang dramas…
Loved it too, just the ending didn't live up to the excitement of every single other episode (except one that was set up, but necessary.. 12? I can't remember). I come from the world of telenovelas, so I hear you. This stuff is crack
Why Yoon Hee character has become so predictable. Feeding her greed pretending it's for her daughter sake tsk…
Yoon Hee and Rona have been trash from the get-go, and frankly the worst characters with their woe-is-me charade they have going on. I'm willing to put money on Seo Jin killing them all, Yoon Hee escaping somehow, and Soo Ryun finishing her off in a blaze of glory. I hesitate only because there are 24 more episodes coming b/w s2 and s3, and I suspect this season will end in a cliffhanger
This is the murder and mayhem I wanted with twotm - thank you lord, I couldn't think of a better way to end 2020 than with this dumpster fire of a drama! I LOVE IT!!!!
He is an asshole in his other roles? like which one?
The school 2015 character wasn't unlikeable. It's not that NJH makes people not like him and prefer his competition instead, it's that in these two dramas he happened to play roles that were underdeveloped, uninteresting, uncharismatic, and the competition was the nurtured apple of the writer's eye.
Yook Sung Jae in School 2015 also had a sad family background, was rebellious but with a heart of gold, and you were just left wondering why the FL liked NJH - though teenagers, hormones + ripped bodies, it's a no-brainer, but not interesting, either. YSJ's was so much better written than the milquetoast character NJH played. Only thing he was good for in that drama was modeling speedos.

Just to share the irony with some spoilers about school 2015... i think you'd appreciate it.
Btw, school 2015 was hard to watch, the bullying was some of the worst I've seen, and the only good thing about it was Yook Sung Jae's character (the focus of the SLS).
The funny thing about NJH's character in school 2015 is that he grew up with the girl that the FL is *pretending to be* (they're long-lost twins and end up swapping places w/o anyone knowing), and when he finds out the girl is not who he thoughts she was, it was like... nothing happened! he'd fallen in love with whom he thought she was, and when she turned out to be someone else, he just transferred his feelings onto the new identity.
Sound familiar? LOL
And this is why people got SLS in school 2015, because the OTP made NO SENSE. No development at all. Yook Sung Jae was the HJP of that drama, big time.
Try for a date that's not his first night, if you have that option. That way you may end up with more choices…
Another thing, if you can recruit a friend to help you, pick different performance dates/times each to try for tickets. One of you is bound to get lucky.
With the recent spam rating account purge, I'm finding it hilarious that this one got bumped *up* by 0.7 pts while most all other shows have dropped. Not surprising that it went up, but that's a huge swing

Nice! Good luck :) I've only done this once before for a concert a looooong time ago and pre-sale access was the most helpful, but I know that's not the case here. A friend scored BTS tickets for a show here in the US but tried for first night instead of second, and by the time she got through all was sold out for first night, and she ended up with less than ideal seats for the second night (not complaining, she got tickets in the end, so keep that in mind - in a race like this, something is better than nothing hehe)

One last pitch because it's so totally worth the watch as an inspirational drama about pursuing one's dreams: https://www.soompi.com/article/1394954wpp/sweet-and-inspiring-romance-4-reasons-to-watch-c-drama-skate-into-love
