That princess lift and carry almost made me fall off the couch laughing. The vicarious embarrassment I feel for the NDS character and this codependent hell he's in with SDM is *off the charts*
In all my drama watching, I don't think I've felt so manipulated as I felt today with this ending. What a dumpster fire these last 4-6 episodes turned out to be, but this cancer and faked death thing was beyond the pale. If you're going to turn a fluff piece into a makjang, at least do it right and turn it to 11
It was mentioned a few episodes ago that noongil taps into the yeongsil api, and that every time it does, and…
Agreed, the three stooges don't surprise me, but the lawyer not knowing that, if she's not an M&A expert, maybe should've had someone else consult, HJP was a non-entity in this episode, and even though he was ghosting her texts, he answered her call? Dalmi should've mentioned the offer to him. She is the question bomber, after all. Just dumb.

Right, why I said it'd be much less than the (originally calculated) 6 months with the api costs. If they hadn't used the api, the 6 month calculation was still their baseline.
I couldn't get over how dumb everyone at samsan is in thinking that an acquisition offer for a business model that losses money the more it's used would not come with strings attached. Or how they'd be allowed to just simply keep using the same technology for new business after leaving 2sto.
Rhetorical questions:- Who developed Yeongsil?- How did Samsan Tech get the rights to use it in their Noongil…
It was mentioned a few episodes ago that noongil taps into the yeongsil api, and that every time it does, and for the duration that it does, there's a cost to it. That's what determines that their burn rate was going to be much less than 6 months. Idk if a license was needed for accessing the api, but since HJP is an investor in the startup that developed yeongsil (idk if it's been said who they are, but that hasn't been relevant so far), he could have brokered this.
With 13 and 14, we were fed enough new and helpful tidbits of information, that I decided I have enough understanding of the plot, and I'm enjoying my version of this drama immensely xD idk what it's actually about still, but these two episodes were awesome and no joke I'm really looking forward to the last two episodes!
Once I came to terms with every single character being hateful or a screamo mess, I started enjoying this thing so much more. After ep 2 I thought of dropping it, I'm glad I stuck it out.
My favorite scene so far is the severed finger leading to the flashback of the Tony Montana-esque rain of bullets with Elvis crooning in the background, followed by today's lucha libre masked, uh, threatening donuts? This drama is hilarious!
That scene from R1988 came back to me when NDS was talking to the imaginary SDM while drunk. I so wish we'd seen…
Same here! I was so surprised she was still confused in that beach scene! Like hello, lady, you already figured out that was HJP's handwriting, at least she could've asked directly when he was at her place. But like a friend I was watching with said, she didn't really seem to want to know the truth. Until the last scene, then all of a sudden she wanted to. Lol I have to agree, the writing here is messy and all for squeezing emotions rather than logic, but I'm here for it, this is what I watch dramas for LOL
i just saw one scene damn if he is not i will drop drama itself
He's an affection-starved puppy - no parents, no friends, the only connection he truly has physically is with grandma, and emotionally through those letters, so while I don't necessarily want him ending up with Dalmi (he'd be some sloppy seconds at this point, they've shown her way too invested with Dosan) I do want to see him be loved. He deserves that :'(

I feared that him just doing what he wanted for himself would've come across as petty, so I'm glad he went to get the letter... However I hoped he would've used the letter to show Dalmi that it was him all along. Turn the tables around a little bit. Didn't go according to any of those paths, but let me tell you, when it was evident that Dalmi was the one who got the text and then the camera panned to her, my heart skipped. I just don't want it to end there for HJP :'(
The other thing that got me was how happy he was snuggling Dosan in bed. HJP is so starved for affection, my heart bleeds for him

The joke confession. My God I was bawling then for him, how could he negate his feelings like that? I would've liked to see him really put himself out there, but I guess it was futile, anyway, she wanted the soft guy. Lol. And I agree, I can see HJP pulling a Jung Hwan, he did today with grandma at the corn dog cart! Swallowing his feelings for the greater good. Faaaaack I'm mad xD

Uh yeah, what the heck. I missed that but frankly I was so mad to see it seemed to be all about NDS asking her to cut him slack, I didn't wanna rewatch it lol
ok so though I started the episode with expectation to feel sorry for HJP which I of course did, still in those…
That scene from R1988 came back to me when NDS was talking to the imaginary SDM while drunk. I so wish we'd seen that level of honesty in that scene in R1988!! :'( the heartbreak probably would've been x100000 (I was already bawling the way it played out)
But to be clear, I just started rewatching it, and episode 1 hit me extra hard. This is so much better the second…
For reals!! The first time I spent like three episodes just trying to figure out who's who, so a lot of the details got missed - I mean this happens on every drama, but one with this richness and depth, it deserves (needs) a second viewing to fully appreciate it :) I didn't think I'd cry so much the 2nd time around, I cried more than the first lol
